šta radite sa stari(ji)m ispravnim laptopima?
ozbiljno pitanje.

tokom zadnjih 10-12 godina nakupilo mi se nešto laptopa koji su zastarjeli, ali očuvani i ispravni. glavni minus je da su to old-skul bulky laptopi sa uglavnom mrtvim baterijama.

celeron, pentium, i5 1. i 4. generacije, 6-8GB rama, 128gb ssd-i ...
pitao sam ljude oko mene ali ili imaju laptop koji ih zadovoljava, ili im nije potreban i ne žele ga. čak i za njihovu djecu koja sad idu u nekakve osnovne škole je to zapravo zastarjelo. ta djeca zapravo ni ne žele laptope, šta me iznenadilo. ja sam u 1. osnovne imao 386icu, da mi je netko dao laptop vjerojatno bi se bio lansirao na mars.



mišljenje? ovog mrvu novijeg ću vjerojatno poklonit klincu od kolegice koja je samohrana majka, ali 1st gen , je to danas upotrebljivo? vidim da normalno otvaraju youtube, dalje nisam pokušavao.

Ovi malo noviji s linuxom gore budu OK za multimediju. Vidio sam da neki ljudi od laptopa rade "servere". YMMV.

Problem sa starim laptopima je da su prespori za moderni web, stranice su preteške za renderiranje, pa traže puno RAMa i procesora kao i grafičkih mogućnosti, tu onda ne pomaže ni lightweight OS kad se jednostavno hadrver ne može nositi sa stranicom.
Ako baterije nisu redovito nadopunjavane onda permanentno odu kvragu i nema im više spasa, zamjenska i da se nađe ne opravdava svoju cijenu, ćelije ne možeš sam zamijeniti jer je plastika zavarena. Tako da nažalost ti laptopi ostaju ili elektronički otpad ili tko ima mjesta može ih čuvati za neki budući muzej.
i5 gen4 je još upotrebljiv hardver i mogao bi služiti za Youtube i web, ali gen1 je već poprilično stara priča.

Da, nisi trebao skupljati to kao hrčak nego prodat/poklonit dok je još moglo bit upotrebljivo. 1st gen i5 je već star 16 godina
Osobno ne volim gomilati hardver, prodam ili poklonim čim mi ne treba, puno bolje nego da stoji i sakuplja prašinu.

bila su teška vremena... :P
nikad neznaš kad će zatrebat. taj 1st gen celeron je bio moj prvi laptop dok sam na faksu bio, nakon šta mi je hp mini netbook postao preslab. cijeli preddiplomski sam odradio na netbooku, k tome poklonjenom.


ovo ostalo je zakapalo s vremenom, i5-4th gen mi je bio drugi laptop kojeg sam odnekud spasio, kod mene je cca 5-6 godina.

sad zadnje friško mi je i5-8th gen kojeg sad koristim, a radi se o otpisu s posla.



nećemo bacat pare ako ne treba.

nekad davno sam i ja, hp mini sa 1TB diskom unutra, 3-4 godine glumio server. radilo super dok su apetiti bili mali. uptime znao bit po godinu dana.

tehnički to je i danas neloša ideja za basic potrebe i ljude koji ne žele imati nešto veliko po stanu. moj je stajao iznad vrata od špajze zakačen za zid. da mi apetiti nisu malkice porasli, i danas bi to bila opcija.

sjetio si me da imam jedan prastari thinkpad u podrumu. t42 mislim.

nije upaljen od 2008. tko zna dal su ga pantigane pojele ili je još čitav.

Poklanjam, sve na DDR3 (osim onih uber low power AMD E1 procesora ili intel Atoma) može sa linuxom skroz okej surfat, office odrađivat i vrti FHD youtube bez problema. Time pokriva većinu prosječnih korisnika koji tak niš osim browsera niti ne koriste Da se nekda i bez SSDa švercat, osim malo duljeg boot timea radi skroz dobro ako je gore neki Mint recimo.
