Uopće me ne čudi.



Ovaj gore crveni komad je Montana. 7 puta veća od Hrvatske, a oko 1 mil stanovnika.
Normalno da nitko neće investirati u infrastrukturu jer se neće nikad isplatiti.

Isto vrijedi za svu ovu pustoš dolje.

Dok ne odeš u veće zemlje, ne znaš cijeniti koliko je HR vrhunski pokrivena signalom.
Kad vidim komentare po raznim portalima, trebalo bi nekima i ukinuti internet

Imaju puno ruralnog stanovništva rijetko naseljenoga. Postotak toga živi u brdima, šumama i tko zna gdje. Ako se bežični signal ili optika uopće mogu probiti do tamo pitanje je da li će se ikada isplatiti.

POTS je jedino što imaju i radi kako radi.

HR je veličine floride...ako se tu nemre pokrit bar 80% sa optikom onda

ali po posttku pokrivenosti optikom i mobilnim kvalitetnim signalom
 nismo bolji od ove karte amerike

Ako je istina mene zanima što oni rade s tim internetom jer stranice su danas u prosjeku 1MiB (ili više) što znači da se jedna stranica loada barem 3 minute sa 5 KiB/s (realna brzina na 56k).

Vjerojatno ne koriste taj "internet" za surfanje...

Pa jednostavno, koriste mobilni internet. Verizon, AT&T i T-mobile imaju zajedno praktički sve pokriveno.

Da, prije su bile jednostavne stranice a danas ako to nije ušminkano i ako ne vuće 10 i više mb grafike ne valja stranica.

Jooj gdje su ti dani kada je stranica bila jednostavnija

Ne zaboravi da ima opcija za blokiranje kojekakvog sadržaja. A ima i tekst only browsera, kojeg doduše velika većina tih 56k korisnika ne koristi.

Možda BBS koriste masovno na 56k

DialUp ne znači nužno da su na 56k minus smetnje na vezi. ISDN ide full na 64k a može i 128k

Misliš preko VoIp linije ?
Može raditi ali treba u postavkama upaliti 1 - 2 opcije koje su po defaultu ugašene.
Trebao bi pogledati da se sjetim kako se zovu.

Tcom je tada omogućavao govorne linije preko voipa, vjerojatno. Davnih godina mi je to zadnji put trebalo, problem je bio u kompresiji koja je bila namijenjena za govor. Na kraju sam našao da je predmetni printer/fax uređaj imao postavku za dvije brzine i samo je na nižoj prolazilo.

nekoc sam mislio da vece od 512kbs mi nikad nece trebati
i samo su flash stranice bile "heavy load"
