AMD 1726@1988 skuriti ili ne
Ploča je Asus a7v8x, proceosor 2100+ @ 1733Mhz troughbreed memorija samsung itd... e sad digao sam mu sabirnicu na 333(166) sa 266(133) multiplier smanjio sa 13 na 12 i dobio frekvu od nekih 1988Mhz. morao sam dići napon sa 1.600 na 1.650 da to sve šljaka i radi fino stabilno. e sad zanima me kolika mi je granični napon do kojeg bi smio dizati napon jezgre.... nisam htio dizati još da nebi bilo nepredvidivih događaja.... te me zanima kojim se načinom može spaliti procesor....grijanjem samo ili ... jer dobro sad kažem radi i temperature se podigla nekih 4-5 stupnjeva ...(45-49) cooler je Aplpha 8045, dali bi mu mogao naštetiti s naponom jezbre prekurenim a da se temp ne podigne iznad die temp..... ili proc može riknuti samo ako mu temperatura poraste u nebo..... |

Sam si odgovorio, največa je fora temperatura proca ! Ako ti radi stabilno na 2.0V i temp. nije preko 60°C GO FOR IT !!! Nemoj odmah na tih 2.0V, no polagano možeš, mislim da češ doći do negdje 1.8V tamo će ti već temp. biti prevelika ! Fora ti je da odabereš najmanji mogući napon za najveću frekvu., tako je meni npr. s 1.625V išao do 2400 Mhz ! A s 1.5V ide bez beda do 2100 Mhz Temp. je glavni razlog kurenja proca ! Sretno, i javi šta si napravio. |

"Effect of high Vcore and electromigration on CPU failure time It is known that high temperature and high current (density) have adverse effect on chip behavior due to electromigration, could lead to complete chip failure (not just performance degradation per se). Electromigration may increase the resistance of metal wires and contacts inside a chip (max overclocking degradation before functional failure), and may even lead to open connections and resulted in complete chip failure. But these are long term effect and would not happen in days or even months (see arguments below). Also the failure is statistical in nature, measured over a large sample of chips, a particular one or few chips may behave very differently within certain statistical deviation. It would not be accurate to simple put a number of max voltage on a particular chip and try to predict its life. Same like trying to put a number of max overclocking frequency on a CPU, ... Assuming statistical failure is due to electromigration, the statistical failure rate usually measured in terms of the failure time of 50% of the population in a large sample of same chips is given by T_failure = A exp (E / k T) / (J^2) where A, k are constants, and E is activation energy of the material, J is current density, and T is temperature (in K). The equation is call Black's equtation and is based on empirical results. There may be some deviations from it (mainly on the exponent of J) for different material in wires and contacts, e.g. Al, Al/Cu alloy, Cu. So put in simple terms, a rough estimtation, we can say that if - Vcore is increased by 10%, on the average, the current density in the wires inside a chip would be increased by 10% (assume uniformly distributed current density), keeping temperature the same, so the failure time would be shorten by 17%. So A 10% increase in Vcore, would shorten the failure time to 83% of nominal failure time. A 20% increase in Vcore, would shorten the failure time to 69% of nominal failure time. A 30% increase in Vcore, would shorten the failure time to 59% of nominal failure time. A 50% increase in Vcore, would shorten the failure time to 44% of nominal failure time. - An increase of temperature by 20 C over nominal max temperature would roughly result in doubling the current density, hence shortening the failure time to 25% (1/4 of the nominal life expectancy !!!) But that is measured by the temperature over the max temperature specification (above 85 C), which is not likely to happen in daily overclocking. E.g. for a TBred B DLT3C, from the estimate, increase Vcore from 1.5 V to 1.95 V (a 30% increase) would shorten the statistical chip failure time defined above to 59%. This number is still in the ranges of 5+ years, assuming the nominal life expectancy of the chip is 10+ years. Based on the above, if the numbers stand, one can pick and chose the max voltage and max overclocking frequency to trade with the life expectancy of a CPU. The above only discussed the long term failure rate or life expectancy issues related to electromigration, but the question about short term degradation related to high voltage (if there is any) remains open. And as i recal that would be ~15yrs for a non-overclocked CPU. If you overclock the CPU or run it at higher voltage then that life-time will be ~5yrs which is still too long for me (note: i said overclocked CPU by mean avg overclocked not extreme overclocked) Those rules are as standard, but not always applied. Sometimes your computer just drop dead by some reasons/ bad material (ie. capacity..) " Dakle da mi proc traje i 3 godine dobro je. U biti traje ti 2 godine, pa ga vratiš na normalu i prodaš, a tom drugom će raditi još 1 ili 2 godine, ako ne i više ![]() Šta će ti procesor 5 godina?!?!? A fora je da sam ono s 2.0 V rekao čisto onako, 2.0 V je apsolutno previše, jako teško hladiti i ... Meni je max overclock pri 1.8 V na zrak, nema potrebe za više, samo se više grije i ne ide preko 2530 Mhz ! |

Imam ja 386icu iz 89 ! Pa šta? Nećemo pretjerivati. Imam u biti i par procesora oko 8 godina (Pentium 166 i sl.)... Tako i onako je fora za nove procesore, dakle 5 godina i kasnije nemaš koristi, osim za piskaranje u Wordu i neke sitnice. I nemamo šta diskutirati, ti si zadovoljan s tih 500Mhz, meni to nikako ne bi bilo dosta, tako da, a i upravo sam to rekao, imaš ga par godina pa prodaš nekom kao što si ti... |

Evo sada sam frendu složio AMD 500Mhz. E ljudi kako sam ja sretan... Ode disk, dobim novi, a već kupio drugi, super imam 2, ode pržilica jednom frendu zamjenim mu dobim bolju, njemu dam svoju (ista kao njegova) ![]() ![]() |
