Nekada davno sam imao problem na w7 gdje nije prepoznavalo flash drive na pojedinim USB portovima. Pošao sam u task manager i obrisao sve uređaje vezano za flash drive. Trebalo je upaliti opciju za prikazivanje skrivenih uređaja. Nakon toga, pri idućem uštekavanju pogona, flash drive je prepoznat i radio je normalno. Doduše, to mi se bilo tada dogodilo na samo jednom od USB portova, ne znam koliko ih predmetni laptop ima.

1. Power management

Otiđi u Control Panel > Power Options.
Klikni na Change plan settings (za trenutni plan).
Klikni na Change advanced power settings.
Pronađi USB settings > USB selective suspend setting.
Postavi na Disabled za oba stanja (Battery i Plugged in).
Također provjeri PCI Express > Link State Power Management i postavi na Off ili Active, jer ponekad utječe na USB kontrolere.



2. USBSTOR servis

Pritisni Win + R, kucaj services.msc.
Pronađi USBSTOR.
Klikni desnom tipkom i odaberi Restart. Ako nije pokrenut, kliykni Start i postavi na Automatic.

3. Čišćenje "Filter Drivers" u Registry

Pritisni Win + R, kucaj regedit.
Idi na: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR
Pogledaj desnu stranu. Ako imaš puno ulaza koji se zovu kao "Mass Storage Device", a neki imaju status "Failed" ili su stari, to može biti problem.

--> ovo je generalno točna putanja, ne vidim doduše taj Status failed. To je možda izmislio.

Brzi test: Ponekad pomaže brisanje ključa: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR (kopiraj cijeli put i briši ga ako si siguran da nemaš druge USB uređaje koji rade, ili prvo napravi backup).

4. Hidden Devices u Device Manageru --> ovo bi stvarno moglo pomoći

Otvori Device Manager.
Klikni View (Gledanje) > Show hidden devices (Prikaži skrivene uređaje).
Potraži pod sekcijom Universal Serial Bus controllers ili Disk drives. Ako vidiš ikone s sivim bojom, klikni desnom tipkom i odaberi Uninstall device, pa ponovno umetni USB.
Zaključak i preporuka
S obzirom na to da printer radi, najvjerojatnije je riječ o korupciji u USBSTOR driver stacku ili power managementu.

5. "Legacy USB Support" ili "XHCI Hand-off" opcije u BIOSu --> ova opcija zna ubiti tipkovnicu u biosu, ali ne znam da onemogući vanjske pogone.

Microsoft has apparently terminated the account VeraCrypt uses to sign its Windows drivers and bootloader, leaving the encryption project unable to publish Windows updates and throwing future releases into doubt. VeraCrypt's developer says Microsoft gave no clear explanation or warning for the move. "I didn't receive any emails from Microsoft nor any prior warnings," Mounir Idrassi, VeraCrypt's developer, told 404 Media. From the report:
VeraCrypt is an open-source tool for encrypting data at rest. Users can create encrypted partitions on their drives, or make individual encrypted volumes to store their files in. Like its predecessor TrueCrypt, which VeraCrypt is based on, it also lets users create a second, innocuous looking volume if they are compelled to hand over their credentials. Last week, Idrassi took to the SourceForge forums to explain why he had been absent for a few months. The most serious challenge, he wrote, "is that Microsoft terminated the account I have used for years to sign Windows drivers and the bootloader."

"Regarding VeraCrypt, I cannot publish Windows updates. Linux and macOS updates can still be done but Windows is the platform used by the majority of users and so the inability to deliver Windows releases is a major blow to the project," he continued. "Currently I'm out of options." Idrassi told 404 Media the termination happened in mid-January. "I was surprised to discover that I could no longer use my account," he said.

On the forum and in the email to 404 Media, Idrassi shared what he said was the only message he received connected to the account shutdown. "Based on the information you have provided to date, we have determined that your organization does not currently meet the requirements to pass verification. There are no appeals available, we have closed your application," it reads. Idrassi told 404 Media the message is concerning his company IDRIX. "As you can read in their message, they say that the organization (IDRIX) doesn't meet their requirements, but I don't see which requirement IDRIX suddenly stopped meeting," he said. Idrassi said he has tried contacting Microsoft support, but he received automated responses that he believes contained AI-generated text.

Čudi me da gamad to nije prije napravila. Koristim već preko desetljeca TC i VC. I nastaviti cu one way or the other, jer bit locker je za mene Microslop-ovo gofno kojem nista ne vjerujem i koje ide na disable odmah nakon instalacije win-a.
Bolesno. Al sta drugo očekivati od MICROSLOP-a.

@Disco i @mkey, ništa nije pomoglo.

Obrisao sam cijeli USBSTOR, ne preko regedita jer se nije moglo nego preko USBDeviewa i kroz device manager, 0 hidden devices.

Storage Service uredno radi.

Reinstalirao Windowse kroz Windows Update, printer i dalje na svim portovima radi, ali storage USB i SD kartica ne.

Proskenirao sam i s par AV alata, ništa nisu našli.

Što se moglo smrdati mi nikako nije jasno... Koliko ima smisla raditi boot stick s Linuxom pa preko video calla asistirati, vidjet ćemo, sreća pa ima još jedan laptop na kojem svi ti USB storage uređaji normalno rade.

Koja je to katastrofa. Za live distro test praktično ne treba nikakav assist, samo boot i po meni to bi 99.99% sigurno radilo. Jedino bi mu trebao određeni assist da si složi bootabilni disk, ali i to je trivijalizirano do jaja.

Thanks, Tim. We’ve seen these reports and are actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We’ve reached out to VeraCrypt and have spoken to Jason at WireGuard, they should be back up and running soon.

Some background on this, this is all part of our ongoing efforts to help protect customers and the Windows ecosystem. We published a blog last October that shared we would require account verification for all partners in the Windows Hardware Program who had not completed account verification since April 2024. Other platform vendors are doing the same.

We worked hard to make sure partners understood this was coming, from emails, banners, reminders. And we know that sometimes things still get missed. Microsoft has started stripping Copilot branding out of Notepad in Windows 11, replacing the old Copilot menu with a more generic "writing tools" label. The AI features themselves aren't going away, but Microsoft seems to be backing off the heavy-handed Copilot branding and extra entry points. Windows Central reports:

As promised, Microsoft is now beginning its effort to reduce and remove Copilot branding across Windows 11, with the latest Notepad update for Insiders outright removing the Copilot icon and phrasing. Now, the AI menu is simply called "writing tools," and maintains the same functionality as before. Additionally, Microsoft has also removed references to AI in the Settings area in Notepad. Now, the ability to turn on or off these AI powered writing tools are now listed under "Advanced features."

This change is present in the latest preview build of Notepad which is now rolling out to all Windows Insiders. The app version is 11.2512.28.0, and you'll know you have it if you see the Copilot icon replaced with a pen icon instead. [...] For Notepad, it appears Microsoft has opted to replace the Copilot menu with something more generic. It's still the same functionally, but it's no longer leaning on the tainted Copilot brand. Of course, you can still easily turn off all AI features in Notepad if you don't want them.
The Verge reports that the "unnecessary Copilot buttons" are also disappearing from the Snipping Tool, Photos, and Widgets.

A senior Microsoft engineer has confirmed that the company plans to phase out the Windows Control Panel in favor of the more modern Settings app in the near future. He added that File Explorer and the Start Menu will also receive a UI overhaul and performance improvements over the next few months, beginning with the April update next week.
Speaking to Windows users on X this week, Microsoft's Director of Design, March Rogers, said the company is working to address several UI issues across Windows 11. To that end, all settings options are being consolidated in a single location, ensuring users will no longer need to switch between the Control Panel and the Settings app for basic tasks such as configuring networks or printers.

To je sve posljedica toga što idu mijenjati na silu nešto što je bilo dobro napravljeno. Prednost držanja svega na jednom mjestu je što se može lako pretraživati, ali onda to treba napraviti od A do Ž a ne da uvođenje rezultira time da korisnik mora voditi računa o još jednoj dodatnoj aplikaciji na kojoj se nalazi dio postavki. I onda to još stalno mijenjaš i prebacuješ vamo tamo.

Windows je u utrci sa Mac OS-om i kada pogledas Control Panel, kojeg preferiram, zaostaju 25 godina sa dizajnom. Na zalost sada smo u eri gdje je bitniji izgled. Ono sto meni nije jasno kako MS ne moze redizajnirati "skin" bez diranja funkcija. A onda Settings, koji je buducnost, vec sada izgleda ko settings video igre gdje nista nije pregledno i logicno a sta ce tek biti gasenjem c. panela. Neki dan trazim neke opcije za miš, i nadjem ih pod system/displays. Gašenje opcije "printscreen open screen capture" je u: "bluetooth & devices". Moderni UI dizajneri ocito ne mogu nista drugo ponuditi do widnows phone interfejsa starog 16 godina. Lista rijeci. To je to.

Da ukidanje c panela lol. Kakvi debili vode taj microslop to je za ne vjerovati.
Dovoljno su zasrali sa dodavanjem dodatnog ekrana opcija od win10, da bi doso do core opcija, a sad ce i to rashebat lol.
Ne kužim sta je falilo svemi tome kak je na w7 bilo riješeno. Valjda moraš bit mulac iz woke ere sarenila da bi to mogo komprehendat.

To je dizajn za populaciju sa velikom minus dioptrijom koja odbija nositi pomagala.

Da, mobilni interfejs je referenca. Ali iskreno, nije windows nikada ni bio dizajniran logicki. Samo smo mi kroz ovih 20-30 godina naucili gdje se sta nalazi. Koliko ljudi znac proci 4 podmenija u c. panelu da promjeni decimale i format vremena. A sad ce to biti zakopanu u settingsu. Ako vec nije.

Nisam se puno igrao sa tim opcijama u settingsu ali koliko vidim nema; Ako pogledas raspored slova, tipa h:mm:ss. S njima imas potpuni kontrolu prikaza datuma. Da li je puno ime dana, ili skraceno. Da li je zapravo ime ili broj itd. Npr:

dddd: Saturday

MM: 04
MMM: Apr
MMMM: April



You get the point. Ovo mi je jako bitno zbog dokumenata. Pretrage i organizacije jer se veze za druge programe a ujedno: Kod nas je d/m/y, ameri: m/d/y i australija y/m/d. Pa se snadji.


A pored imas tab za decimale. Dodje do gresaka ako se pomjesa "." i "," recimo u 3DS MAXu. Zaokruzi aplikacija na cijeli broj i ode sve u tri lijepe..

Decki...imam malo nezavidnu situaciju...long story short > trebam pokrenuti VPN aplikaciju na login screenu (win 11, sluzbeni lap). Probao sam kemijat sa Regeditom kroz HBCD (load Hive) al - 0 bodova. VPN se cini se skrsio kod updejta pa se ne starta i trebam neku mogucnost samo da ili kreiram neki lokalni account na koji se mogu kod boota prijaviti da startam to govno pa da se mogu sa svojim korisnikom prijavit u domenu ili nacin da se govno starta kod boota prije nego se ijedan korisnik ulogira.

Imao sam sličan problem, ali na Linuxu.
Sad ćeš se ti ljutiti, ali meni ga je Claude riješio.
Na login screenu u Fedori mi se nisu pokretali Tailscale ni Rustdesk pa mu nisam mogao pristupati dok se ne bi ulogirao.

Task Scheduler Library -> desni klik Create New Task -> označiti "Run whether the user logged in or not" -> tab Triggers -> New -> at Startup -> tab Actions -> New -> Start a program -> namjesti Conditions i Settings itd...

Thanks na inputu decki al se sjetio starog puta HBCD bootao > otkljucao disk > omogucio Admin account > login u Admin Account > startao VPN > login u vlastiti Account na domeni sljaka Jos cekiram kako da se kod logina VPN starta da se isto sranje opet ne dogodi. Brijem da je kombinacija istekle lozinke/zamjene/neuspjelog synca i istovremeno updejta VPN klijenta kulminirala sranjem trenutnim...Cekirat cu ovo sa Task Schedulerom...ili cu ga lupit kroz regedit

@Neo > Gemini sam pitao pa je bacao neke idiotarije mi koje nakon 3 ispravljanja nisu bile ono sto znam da bi trebale biti. Uzdaj se u se i u svoje kljuse

Ne znam tko je koristil Remote Desktop aplikaciju ali bila je zgodna, dinački resizing je radil super (vjerojatno jer je koristila zadnju verziju RDP-a), šteta da su ju deprecateli. Ovaj Windows App nisam još probal.
Probao upravo i ne podržava web accounts odnosno NLA i NTLM v2, a to normalno radi u nativnom remote desktop clientu. Prevedeno, ku*čina.

Itko od vas koji se bakcaju sa RDPom probao Parsec? Citam po netu da je suludo brz, al nisam ga jos imao prilike probati... Osobno koristim Amazon Workspace, pa onda koristim onaj njegov protokol (prije je bio PCoIP, sad je neki Amazonov), skroz pristojno radi...

Probao upravo i ne podržava web accounts odnosno NLA i NTLM v2, a to normalno radi u nativnom remote desktop clientu. Prevedeno, ku*čina.
