Šta mu je stvarno stevica došao u posjet? Ja tog Jaya ne pratim, ali kanal mu nije baš malen.
Da, imaš i na GN i na Jayevom kanalu videe, jer je Jay nakon plaćenih NZXT videa u kojima promovira smetje pretplatu, brže-bolje zamolil Stevea da mu dođe detaljno pokazati kak GN testira, pa da i Jay napravi zaokret u tom smjeru, a kad ono - goli kurac, jer Jaya to nikad nije ni zanimalo, pošto isto ko i Linus samo gleda pare od sponzora i to je išlo tak dugo, dok GN Steve nije postepno svima sjebal računice, kad su krenuli razno-razni dokumentarci, a Jay i ekipa odmah nakon toga snimali video isprike i objašnjenja zakaj su uzeli nofce, a samo su "htjeli pomoći ljudima". Jay, Linus, Paul's Hardware i sl. veliki kanali žive na staroj slavi, dok su non-stop vrtjeli jedno te isti plaćeni video materijali zakamuflirani kao recenzije i te navike je teško promijeniti.

Konformizam i monetizacija. Kada čovjeku prihod ovisi o tome da nešto "ne vidi" možeš biti siguran da "neće vidjeti". Za linusa znam, a baš je i očito da shilla. Našli si najmanji zajednički nazivnik i samo roštaju. Stevica je za njih superheroj.

People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this f*cking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. Da i to ih jebe, jer GN Steve i australski mu imenjak rade svoj dio kak spada, bez previše pizdarija, dok su ovi godiama ko bubreg u loju bez pardona i srama uzimali nofce od koga god je trebalo, samo da se složi "objekitvan" video s unaprijed pripremljenim scenarijem i natuknicama s blesimetra. Linus je pak posebna sorta TopShop/Delimano TV prodaje koja se više nimalo ne skriva da im je guranje smeća i zagađivanje algoritma primarna djelatnost. I onda mu GN Steve složi dokumentarac na tu temu, pa je problem zakaj Steve to tak javno pred svima priča. Makar, obzirom koliko ljudi je Linusu otišlo i kreiralo iste takve "plati, pa prodajem" kanale, na kraju budu se međusobno i zasluženo ugušili.

U prvom slučaju nVidia dobiva direktan pristup svemu, tako da su korisnici lakše sigurni, dok u drugom ionako nema razloga za brigu, kad Pavel Durov kod sebe lokalno vrti backup arhivu.

PayPal is notifying customers of a data breach after a software error in a loan application exposed their sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers, for nearly 6 months last year. From a report:

The incident affected the PayPal Working Capital (PPWC) loan app, which provides small businesses with quick access to financing. PayPal discovered the breach on December 12, 2025, and determined that customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, business addresses, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth had been exposed since July 1, 2025.

 The financial technology company said it has reversed the code change that caused the incident, blocking attackers' access to the data one day after discovering the breach. "On December 12, 2025, PayPal identified that due to an error in its PayPal Working Capital ('PPWC') loan application, the PII of a small number of customers was exposed to unauthorized individuals during the timeframe of July 1, 2025 to December 13, 2025," PayPal said in breach notification letters sent to affected users. "PayPal has since rolled back the code change responsible for this error, which potentially exposed the PII. We have not delayed this notification as a result of any law enforcement investigation."

AI is infiltrating every aspect of our lives, and even more so in organizations which are embracing its latest advancements. Although AI tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot can be very useful when used correctly, it seems like a recent bug actually resulted in a privacy nightmare for enterprise customers.
As first spotted by Office365ITPros, a recent advisory posted on the Microsoft admin portal indicates that Copilot is reading your confidential emails as it summarizes messages for you. This is a massive violation of privacy and security, considering data loss prevention (DLP) policies like privacy labels are specifically designed to restrict scenarios like these.
Microsoft has noted that this was unintended behavior and was actually due to a programming bug. It primarily impacted emails in the Sent Items and Drafts folder, which were sent to Copilot Chat for summarization of content. This issue was first discovered by customers on January 21, 2026, and is being tracked under the CW1226324 ID.

Discord won’t roll out age verification globally on its platform next month as previously announced, and says in a blog post that it’s delaying the launch until the second half of 2026. Now it will hold off on expansion until it adds more verification options, vendor transparency, and other changes. Discord says that before it rolls out age verification globally, it will add more options for users to verify their age (including with a credit card), include documentation of every verification vendor used, add an option for “spoiler channels” in Discord as an alternative to age-gated channels for walling off certain topics, and publish a technical blog post explaining how its age estimation systems work.

Russia stepped up its bid to subjugate the Telegram messaging app on Tuesday, announcing in a state-run newspaper that it was investigating billionaire founder Pavel Durov as part of a criminal case involving accusations of terrorism. Russia is trying to block Telegram, which has more than 1 billion active users and is used very widely in both Russia and Ukraine - and steer tens of millions of Russians towards a state-backed alternative known as MAX. Telegram had become a tool of the NATO military alliance and Ukraine, and was used widely by radicals and terrorists and posed a "threat to our society." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the authorities had noted a large amount of material on Telegram that could "potentially pose a threat" to Russia.
Discord se zakopal do te mjere da za nadolazeću provjeru punoljetnosti, svima izlaze u susret nudeći između ostalog - izbor kreditne kartice i slične popratne dokumentacije za verifikaciju korisnika. Rusi su se pak prestali zajebavati nakon kaj je ispalo da tzv. specijalna operacija nije baš tak kratkog vijeka, a i ne sviđa im da širenje propagande ide preko plaformi koje nisu u njihovoj nadležnosti.

Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed multiple security vulnerabilities in Anthropic's Claude Code, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered coding assistant, that could result in remote code execution and theft of API credentials.
"The vulnerabilities exploit various configuration mechanisms, including Hooks, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and environment variables – executing arbitrary shell commands and exfiltrating Anthropic API keys when users clone and open untrusted repositories," Check Point researchers Aviv Donenfeld and Oded Vanunu said in a report shared with The Hacker News.
The identified shortcomings fall under three broad categories -
  • No CVE (CVSS score: 8.7) - A code injection vulnerability stemming from a user consent bypass when starting Claude Code in a new directory that could result in arbitrary code execution without additional confirmation via untrusted project hooks defined in .claude/settings.json. (Fixed in version 1.0.87 in September 2025)

The bill comes from state Sen. Matt Ball and Rep. Amy Paschal, both Democrats. "The intent is to create thoughtful safeguards for kids online through a privacy-forward framework for age assurance," Ball told PCMag. "Unlike some laws in other states, SB 51 doesn't require users to share personally identifiable information or use facial recognition technology."

The legislation also promises to centralize the age check through the OS, rather than mandating that each app enforce their own age-verification mechanism, which can involve scanning the user's official ID, thus raising privacy and security concerns. The bill also forbids the sharing of the age-bracket data for any other purpose. But it looks like it's easy to bypass the age check proposed by SB26-051. The legislation itself doesn't mention any state ID check to verify the owner's age. In addition, the bill doesn't seem to cover websites, only apps and app stores.
The report notes that the legislation was based on California's bill AB 1043, which was passed last year and expected to take effect January 1, 2027.

A sprawling Chinese influence operation -- accidentally revealed by a Chinese law enforcement official's use of ChatGPT -- focused on intimidating Chinese dissidents abroad, including by impersonating US immigration officials, according to a new report from ChatGPT-maker OpenAI. The Chinese law enforcement official used ChatGPT like a diary to document the alleged covert campaign of suppression, OpenAI said. In one instance, Chinese operators allegedly disguised themselves as US immigration officials to warn a US-based Chinese dissident that their public statements had supposedly broken the law, according to the ChatGPT user. In another case, they describe an effort to use forged documents from a US county court to try to get a Chinese dissident's social media account taken down.
"This is what Chinese modern transnational repression looks like," Ben Nimmo, principal investigator at OpenAI, told reporters ahead of the report's release. "It's not just digital. It's not just about trolling. It's industrialized. It's about trying to hit critics of the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] with everything, everywhere, all at once."

Michael Horowitz, a former Pentagon official focused on emerging technologies, said the report from OpenAI "clearly demonstrates the way that China is actively employing AI tools to enhance information operations. US-China AI competition is continuing to intensify. This competition is not just taking place at the frontier, but in how China's government is planning and implementing the day-to-day of their surveillance and information apparatus."

Neki Windows wrapper tipa Wine i sl. ?
Ili dignit VM sa instaliranim Win10 i isključiti mu network adapter.
Tako onda uvijek imaš i backup cijelog sustava jer je cijeli VM u jednom .vdi fajlu i možeš ga pokrenuti na bilo kojem kompu...

Ja se bas htio rijesiti Windowsa komplet, da imam linux i erp program za rad i fiskalizaciju. Trenutno program ne radi na linuxu i nisam bas siguran hoce li u buducnosti pa sam mislio da postoji laka opcija. Ne bih se zezao sa VM jer imam i kolege loji rade na to pc-u pa bih sinzadao glavobolje

Ne treba VM. Wine dovoljno dobro radi da na kraju to postaje praktično pitanje klikanja ikone na desktopu. Problem je s evenutalno nekakvim servisima, automatskim updjetom i slično, tu možda ima potrebe za nekim dodatnim radnjama. Wine po defaultu radi dobro za GUI aplikacije, dok je proton (i derivati) u pravilu kompatibiniji, ali i više orijentiran igrama.

Ima nekih dosta jednostavnih aplikacija koje omogućuju vrlo laganu administraciju, kao npr. bottles. Tako da svakako imaš neki overhead ali ima to i svojih pozitivnih strana

Da li imaš primjer neke aplikacije koja ti treba a koja je dostupna online?

Privatnost i sigurnost podataka i korisnika
Shvatio sam sto si pitao, dao sam imena cisto jer si mozda probao. Koliko znam nema free instalera od ovih navedenih, ali cu svakako pitat, mozda se uspije dobit neki demo, ne trial. Ako budem dobio svakako probam taj Wine hvala

Recent security incidents have proven that internet-connected cars can be tracked and even hijacked by hacking their advanced infotainment systems, wireless keys, and the cloud servers of their manufacturers. However, researchers have also discovered serious vulnerabilities in an overlooked area: the systems that electronically monitor tire pressure can leak location data.
The device in many automobiles that warns drivers when their tire pressure is low transmits the data in unencrypted cleartext and carries a unique identifier for each vehicle. Researchers from IMEDA Networks and several European universities recently discovered that relatively inexpensive wireless devices can track Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) signals to spy on drivers covertly over extended periods.

California introduces age verification law for all operating systems, including Linux and SteamOS

California's Digital Age Assurance Act (AB 1043), signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in October 2025, requires every operating system provider in California to collect age information from users at account setup and transmit that data to app developers via a real-time API, with the law taking effect on January 1, 2027. The law's broad definition of an "operating system provider" — anyone who "develops, licenses, or controls the operating system software on a computer, mobile device, or any other general purpose computing device" — pulls in not just Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, but Linux distributions and Valve's SteamOS.

According to AB 1043, OS providers must maintain a "reasonably consistent real-time application programming interface" that categorizes users into four age brackets — under 13, 13 to under 16, 16 to under 18, and 18 or older — and hand that signal to any developer who requests it when their app is downloaded or launched. Developers who receive the signal are "deemed to have actual knowledge" of their users' age range under the law, which shifts legal liability for age-appropriate content decisions onto them. Penalties for non-compliance run up to $2,500 per affected child for negligent violations and $7,500 for intentional ones, enforced by the California Attorney General.

Enforcement against Linux distributions, however, is likely to be problematic. Distros like Arch, Ubuntu, Debian, and Gentoo have no centralized account infrastructure, with users downloading ISOs from mirrors worldwide, and can modify source code freely. These small distros lack legal teams or resources to implement the required API, so a more realistic outcome for non-compliant distros is a disclaimer that the software is not intended for use in California.

Da, svašta su zamislili, jer nije dosta da bude na niovu aplikacije ili nekog pretplatničkog servisa, već je najbolje implementirati provjere na nivou OS-a.
