Imam na poslu 500 GB disk koji je popusio bad sectore (ali jos radi), vrti Ubuntu 11.10. Zamjenski disk je mali 60 GB SSD. Ono sto me zanima je kako najlakse i najbezbolnije transferat OS?

Tj. trebam nesto a'la True Image za Windowse 7, jucer sam s tim bez problema sa 500 GB diska bacio OS na 100 GB disk i obratno (swap OS-ova tj.)... Kako to isto pod Ubuntuom?

Od onog sto sam uspio naguglat je da se particije kloniraju sa DD-om, ali svugdje pise da radi samo sa 2 diska jednake velicine, ili ako je destination veci od sourcea. U obratnom slucaju, trebao bi particionirat source da mu boot particija bude manja ili jednaka destination particiji... Ali posto mi disk sa OS-om ima bad sectore, to mi se ne cini pametna opcija jer bi se moglo desit da dio podataka ne bude citljiv... Sto ne dolazi u obzir. A Ubuntu mi se ne instalira ispocetka zbog mali miljon settingsa koje sam natweakao u medjuvremenu.

Ideje?

Aj probaj sa dd najprije...

1) bootaš bilo koji live Linux DVD
2) Kreiraš particiju iste veličine na drugom disku (Gparted)
3) dd if=/dev/sda(x) of=/dev/sdb(y) gdje je sda(x) particija koju trebaš kopirat a sdb(y) odredišna particija na koju želiš premjestiti podatke
4) makneš stari disk iz kompa
5) Restoraj GRUB (ili koji već boot manager distra koristi
6) Bootaj novi sustav



A ak ne mountaš particiju pa kao root sa "mv" ili "cp -a" premjestiš/kopiraš sve čitljive fajlove na novi disk...

P.S.-možeš probat i sa partimage...

Ne znam skoro ništa oko Linux-a, ali imam ideju.

Možda da napraviš kloniranje na drugi HDD istog ili većeg kapaciteta (jer to sigurno radi), a onda tek pokušavaš prebaciti sve na SSD. Čisto da spasiš sve što možeš sada dok HDD nije do kraja krepao.

imam jedan problem radi se o laptopu 6735S unutar njega je HD3200...instlirao sam linux ubuntu 11.10...no problem je u sljedecem ekran kao da je bluran, sve mi je nekak mutnjikavo. Na trenutke mi iygleda odlicno u sljedecem trenutku mi uzas. Dali se netko nasao u slicnom problemu pa da napise neku smjernicu ili link bio bih zahvalan

E to ti je radi ATI drivera. Naime property ATI driver nevalja apsolutno ništa a ovo kaj se tebi dešava je upravo dokaz njegove kvalitete + da ti ne pričam sad koliko drugih stvari ti radi njega ne radi. Moraš njega maknuti i koristiti oss driver ( nešto je sporiji ali za razliku od property drivera radi a nekih 3 do 15 fps-a razlike te neće ubiti ).
Otvori terminal i radi redom ovo

i trebalo bi raditi. Također možeš otvoriti i Ubuntu software centre i instalirati iz njega Ubuntu restricted extras, čak je i lakše nego ovo gore.

Swap je particija koja se koristi tijekom rada računala kao podrška RAM memoriji računala. Swap particija bi trebala biti najmanje 512 MB, a najviše nekoliko GB, iako je 1 GB sasvim dovoljno. Ja imam swap 5 Gb jer kao koristim kod suspenda da ne ide u ram već u swap.

sto se tice iso-a nemogu ga samo tak mountat. Moram prvo kreirat neki direktori di cu ga ubaciti. Nakon toga ovo kao sto si napisao

al kazem nije problem mount, vec ja njega samo vidim kad ukucam "gksu nautilus", inace nevidim iso file, no opet odem pod Media i tamo klinem di sam ga mountao i on mi kaze da nemogu pristupiti tom file-u

Ček, lagano. ajmo od početka. Za mountanje iso nemaš kaj tražiti pod /media , već to radiš pod /mnt. Kaže da je read only jer ne možeš uređivati dokumente na njemu kaj je i logično i razumljivo.

Ljevo je folder kad otvorim /mnt. Desno je folder kad sam ukucao "gksu nautilus"

pozdrav, posto nisam bas upoznat s linuxom, trebao bi vasu pomoc. imam neku atom konfu (1.6 ghz proc, 2 gb ddr2, intel integrirana grafa, 80 gb hdd...) i cini mi se kao da je sedmica malo prezahtjevna za takvu konfiguraciju... konfa inace sluzi kao htpc, znaci multimedija i surfanje, pa bi mi trebala preporuka verzije linuxa koja bi bila najbolja za tu svrhu.

Neces se bas usricit s Linuxom:
- nemas iskustva
- nemas bas punu podrsku nativno

Dugo san se ganja s jacim Eeeom (dc atom) i opet je Win7 najbolje radio... Na kraju san ga i proda. Probaj s Meego OSom.
