If you've always wanted to use Gordian Knot, but were intimidated by the amount of options, here's your solution: GordianKnotItFast4U. It is based on Gordian Knot but simplifies a lot of the options. You still have to rip manually, but then GKIF4U (we need a shortcut for that long name, don't we?) smart crops, detects if IVTC is needed, performs a compressibility test, adjust the resolution according to the results and encodes the video in two passes to reach the desired size. Right now the program is still under heavy development, but the author was nice enough to list what's going to be integrated in the future.
