Konfiguracija RAID 0
Ovako, imam jedan SATA300 HDD WD 120GB (WD1200JS). Sutra planiram da kupim jos jedan, posto mi svakako treba dodani prostor na disku. E kupit cu identican HDD, i planiram da ih uparim da rade u RAID 0 polju. E sad, posto to nisam nikad radio, moze li mi neko dati par informacija, sta i kako...
Prvo cu ubacit jos jedan HDD, formatirati ga, malo provjeriti jel radi, mozda dan-dva, onda napraviti back-up sa C: i spojiti ih da rade kao jedan. Time pretpostavljam da gubim sve podatke, i sve valja nanovo instalirati.
E kako spojiti?
Nasao sam u BIOS-u ove opcije:

Da ukljucim ovako, kada ustekam dva diska u SATA 1 i SATA 2 (od ukupno 4) porta? I sta dalje? Gdje definisem da hocu RAID 0, a ne recimo RAID 1? I onda? Treba li sta formatirati, ili nesto? Onda znaci OS prepoznaje ta dva diska kao jedan od 240GB?
Eto ako moze par informacija, bilo bi super. Hvala!

ne, upravo suprotno. meni trena RAID 0, dakle dva diska, duplo veci kapacitet, teoretski duplo veca brzina.

a raid 1 je je dva diska, kapacitet jednog (manjeg, ako su razlici) i u slucaju da jedan crkne, ostaju podaci... a to mi ne treba.

nemoj me ucit molim te, ako znas odgovori na pitanje ako ne, suti.

Nakon što uključiš RAID podršku za sata portove na kojima su ti diskovi pri slijedećem bootanju dobit ćeš konfiguracijski dialog za kreiranje RAID polja i tu kreriraš RAID polje (određuješ koje ćeš diskove koristiti i koji tip polja želiš).
Ako namjeravaš instalirati sistem na RAID polje stavi da ti je polje bootabilno i prethodno pripremi RAID driver floppy disk koji će ti trebati za instalaciju windowsa... ili nabavi privremeno treći disk na njega instaliraj windowse i samo prebaci sistem na RAID polje nakon toga (sa nekim programom tipa Ghost ili Acronis). U tom slučaju ti ne trebaju dodatni driveri...

He wants to bitch slap you because
you’ve never seen Big Trouble in Little China.
What? Have you been living in a fucking cave?!

He wants to kick your ass in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
And he will.
Because he’s a fucking Geek.

And he wants his toys.
He wants the complete set
in mint condition,
still in the box.
He wants every item on the planet that is even remotely related to Ultraman.
Because Ultraman is Airwolf!

He could give a squirt of piss
about sports or politics or rhetoric.
Such things are of no consequence to him.
What matters is the release date of the next Lord of the Rings movie!

You see, The Geek can’t wait.
The Geek has no patience.
He wants what he wants when he wants it.
And all he wants is stupid shit!

He wants his own Tardis.
He wants his own light saber.
He wants to buy a DeLorean and he wants to drive it 88 miles per hour.

He wants movies.

He wants the impossible to find Japanese bootleg with
6 minutes of never-before-seen footage.

He wants to watch Blade Runner. Again.
He wants to watch Brazil. Again.
He wants to watch A Clockwork Orange.

e jos jedno pitanje. da li je moguce da sa prvobitnog diska napravim sa Acroins True image 9 back-up na dvds, zatim spojim u raid dva diska, instaliram samo WIN (zbog raid drivera) i onda vratim image i sve kako je bilo?

Ja imam tri diska tako da sam sebi prebacivao postojeću instalaciju s diska na RAID ali mislim da bi i to trebalo raditi.

Napravi dva imagea, za svaki slučaj. Jedan će sadržavat sistem takav kakav je, a u drugi ćeš instalirat RAID drivere (nakon što uključiš kontroler u BIOS-u). Također, napravi si Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, korisnije je neg instalirat Win pa TrueImage pa vraćat image.

slazem se.

e sad jos jedno pitanje. pretpostavimo da ih spojim u RAID 0, i nakon toga isntaliram sve... onda odlucim iz nekog razloga da vratim na pojedinacne diskove? sta trebam uradit? iskljuciti RAID u biosu, i samo udarit WIN isntall, da formatira prvi disk, a drugi nek ostane da ga ja rucno formatiram iz Win-a? ili?
