PowerToys 0.96 upgrades Advanced Paste with a redesigned UI and support for multiple AI endpoints, including Azure, OpenAI, Gemini, Mistral, and local models like Foundry Local and Ollama. The release also improves the Command Palette and PowerRename tools.

"Copilot Actions on Windows 11" is currently available in Insider builds (version 26220.7262) as part of Copilot Labs, according to a recent report, "and is off by default, requiring admin access to set it up."

But maybe it's off for a good reason...besides the fact that it can access any apps installed on your system:

Znam. Ali ovo je odluka managementa - ne developera ni testera. I to je zapravo jedini jebeni problem Windows 11 kao OS-a. Da je to sve opcionalno OS bi bio top. Mislim da cu se poigrat sa Nikky-evom idejom. Problem je samo da je sve to tolko integrirano u sustav da hoces ili neces izbacivanje tih "kljucnih" komponenti rezultira potrganim sustavom.

Ma znam, imam doma double commander u win/lin ali na poslovno ne bi htel puno toga instalirati.

Ja sam sarkastičan, ali evo ovaj free commander ti je sasvim upotrebljiv, pogotovo ako znaš komande tj shrtcoute još iz doba norton commandera, iste su.

The latest Windows 11 releases, versions 24H2 and 25H2, have a very bizarre bug, where closing Task Manager does not close its process properly, and every other launch results in duplicate processes piling up and eating your system's resources. Right now, there are no official fixes, except for a temporary workaround, where Microsoft recommends users kill duplicated processes with the taskkill.exe /im taskmgr.exe /f command executed as Administrator. However, enthusiasts have already discovered a way to resolve the issue.

Starting with Windows 11 version 24H2, Microsoft automatically encrypts all drives when you set up a new computer. In the past, BitLocker was a security feature reserved for Professional SKUs, but now, encryption is standard even on Home editions. While BitLocker is not a bad thing per se (it is for your security, after all), the bad part is that Microsoft is not asking users whether they want it or not. Windows 11 won't even let you know that it just encrypted all your drives, and there are already plenty of horror stories about users losing their data. Not cool.

Last month, Microsoft announced that it is introducing a new wake phrase, "Hey, Copilot", that Windows customers can speak to trigger their Copilot experience. This brought back memories of the ill-fated "Hey, Cortana" from 2015, but the jury's still out on how Copilot will fare in this domain. Now, Microsoft is looking to go one step ahead in this area by introducing a new phrase.
In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has noted that while Microsoft 365 Copilot on Windows already has voice activation through "Hey, Copilot", it is in the process of developing a "semantic goodbye word" as well. In simple terms, you'll be able to invoke Copilot's voice interface through "Hey, Copilot" and disengage with it through a phrase like "Bye, Copilot", making it a hands-free interaction.
