Zašto ne, to je ko dosadašnji i5 na visokom taktu.
Mene više brine što u nižem segmentu nema proca sa HT-om. Znači da bi po potrebi mogli ubacit i3 sa 8 thredova.
Btw pentiumi nisu izašli još 8th gen?

Watt for watt, the Core i5-8250U thoroughly outclasses its Kaby Lake predecessor in every test we can throw at it. The i5-8250U delivers a whopping 59% mean performance improvement over its predecessor when I take all of my tests into account. Heavy multithreaded workloads, and especially heavy AVX workloads, will drive the Core i5-8250U to its base clock faster than you can say "SIMD," but even with its low 1.6-GHz base speed, Kaby Lake-R offers a major boost in performance over the i5-7200U in those tasks. By themselves, eighth-generation Core CPUs don't do much to move the integrated-graphics bar. If you want more graphics horsepower from an eighth-gen ultrabook, though, you can get one with a GeForce MX150 graphics chip and 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 RAM inside for not much more money than models without. If gaming performance matters, the Nvidia chip offers solid enough frame rates and frame times in some of today's most popular games, sometimes even at 1920x1080 with some eye candy on.

AMD Ryzen 5 2500U quad-core mobile processor we tested generally offered competitive performance to Intel's latest 8th Gen quad-core Kaby Lake-R offering in various, highly-refined and optimized machines like the Dell XPS 13 and the HP Spectre x360. Presumably, a Ryzen 7 2700U would look even better in a similar match-up, with a bit more top-end clock speed. Looking at Ryzen Mobile's graphics prowess, as we hoped, the platform offers significantly better performance with its Vega 8 IGP in comparison to Intel's latest UHD 620 IGP in the 8th Gen Core series line-up. In some tests it offered 60 - 70 percent faster frame rates and was able to make unplayable titles playable at 1080p. The early indicators for AMD's Ryzen Mobile platform are strong, both on the CPU and GPU side of the equation. With respect to battery life, however, the picture for us is still pretty murky and we're going to reserve judgement for now.

Dečki, rasprava o Meltdownu i Spectreu prebačena u temu za to, pa da ostavimo ovu temu ipak za nadolazeće sockete i procesore od Intela.

One of the greatest complaints enthusiasts had with Intel's 8th generation Core "Coffee Lake" processors and their companion 300-series chipsets is their lack of compatibility with older 200-series and 100-series chipset motherboards, despite sharing an identical LGA1151 socket. Tinfoil hatters attributed this to Intel's synthetic platform-gating to ensure people buy new motherboards every two CPU generations; while Intel itself maintained that "Coffee Lake" chips have special electrical requirements that come with the increased core-counts, without explaining how that shouldn't exempt quad-core SKUs such as the Core i3-8100 and the i3-8350K from functioning on older platforms.

It turns out that "Coffee Lake" is pin-compatible with older LGA1151 motherboards based on 200-series and 100-series chipsets after all, as modders got some of these chips to work on the older platforms. Intel is using software to prevent Coffee Lake from working on older motherboards. This software comes in the form of the CPU's microcode, the iGPU's UEFI GOP driver, and certain Management Engine bootstraps on the side of the motherboard BIOS that lets it recognize the new chips. With the safe transplanting of these pieces of software, Overclock.net modders rootuser123, LittleHill, dsanke, elisw, Mov AX, and 0xDEAD; succeeding in not only getting the chips to work on older platforms, but also found ways to iron out several stability and compatibility issues. Intel has announced that it has released microcode updates to mitigate the Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilities for all of its CPUs released in the last five years, and is redesigning its future processors to protect against them. Microsoft is releasing these Intel microcode updates for manual installation via the Microsoft Update Catalog.

ako se i je instaliro preko win updejta ko da je rješilo pola problema jer sam prije imo oba yes.

mogu probat pa javim ako imam oba 2 odgovora no,jučer je bio neki update meni.

Intel NUC8i7HVK (Hades Canyon) Review: AnandTech, PC Perspective i HotHardware

The NUC8i7HVK is a unique product in the market. Never has any vendor managed to cram in this amount of graphics and computing prowess in such a form factor. Intel has managed to do it, and it is mainly due to the out-of-box thinking that led to the creation of the Kaby Lake-G (KBL-G) family of products. Without KBL-G's capabilities, this product would have simply not been possible without some kind of compromise. While Hades Canyon has its strengths, it does fall a bit short of perfection due to its disappointing performance in our evaluation of it as a 4K HTPC. The Vega GPU can't decode VP9 Profile 2 - so no YouTube HDR support - and more importantly it doesn't support the Protected Audio Video Path technology required for UHD Blu-ray playback. The latter unfortunately came as a bit of a surprise to even some at Intel, as the company was claiming as recently as CES 2018 that the Hades Canyon platform would support UHD Blu-ray playback.

Načelno iz ovog zakljucujem također i ako ikad budemo vidjeli predstavljanje grafe tipa vega 24 ili slično, da bi trebala imat performanse oko rx 570

Jedino ne kužim kak su uspjeli "sfušati" da svi video izlazi idu prek dGPU Vega čipa kojem fali podrška za dosta vizualnih slatkiša u odnosu na Intel iGPU.

Pola godine nakon inicijalnog predstavljanja Coffee Lake procesora, stiže i ostatak društva s naglaskom na mobilne 45W 6C/12T Core i7/i9 modele.:)

Supermicro (1 - 2 - 3), TYAN i društvo će se već snaći s hlađenjem. LGA-4189 je baš kao i LGA-3647 prije svega namijenjen da Intel drži AMD što je dalje moguće od serverskih ormara.:)

Joj, kak se vi djeca cudite normalnim stvarima ko pura dreku.

Ne hladis nuklearni reaktor nego procesorcic od 200W, sto em nije Bog zna kako strasno, em nije nesto spektakularno novo (pa Itanium Montecito se prije 12 godina penjao vrlo blizu 200W pod takzovanim "maximum thermal design power" rezimom), em nije nesto sto ce brinuti tebe i mene jer koji ce ti moj takvo nesto pod nogama, to buci i zuji negdje daleko i na sigurnom.

Na kraju krajeva, svaki posteni CPU koji drzi do sebe, pocevsi od srednje klase Power unazad 10-15 godina, se ionako hladi vodom.

Pusti Bubba nižu AMD kastu, vidiš da to zavist i triper cure iz njih.
A već i babe na placu znaju da se AMD grije ko blesav i skrhaš jezgru ako ju krivo pogledaš. :D
