Znači ništa od cannonlakea na desktopu. Bilo je i ranije glasina o tome

Ja sam u zadnje vrijeme čitao glasine da coffe kao ipak hoće ići na 1xx i 2xx čipsete, saznat ćemo uskoro

Zar nisu asrock i... slagat ću, al mislim giga rekli da coffee neće ić na stare ploče, što zapravo tvoja linkana slika i pokazuje: kaby na 200, coffee na 300.

The release tomorrow should be a paper launch as there are no processors available or stock to be found anywhere. For more info on the specififcation of these coffee lake processors, have a look here.
Mind you these are CAD prices not listed at USD. So the 8700K at 484.44 would be 389 USD and 329 Euro. These prices would be exclusive of VAT.
PC Canada has not delivery ETA yet mentions that the procs are estimated to arrive on 2017-09-16.
Ryzen kompletno na stranu, ali Intel Core i7-8700K bi prema ovome imal istu cijenu kao i Core i7-7800X koji je u prodaji točno dva mjeseca.
Oba su 6C/12T, dok 8700K ima viši radni takt, 12MB L3 cachea, 95W TDP, ali samo dual-channel podršku i 24 PCI-E staze na raspolaganju.

Zbroji 6700K + 7350K multithread rezultate i to će biti otprilike rezultat 8700K ;)

Druga je arhitektura u pitanju, mislim da će rezultati biti bolji od 6700K i 7350K ali pričekajmo realne benchmarke.

Zašto bi zaostajao u multithreadu, pogotovo ako će imat veći IPC+veći takt i više cache.

U svakom slučaju izgleda obećavajuće, pogotovo Core i5-8400 6C/6T i običan Core i7-8700 sa 65W TDP-om + HD Graphics 630 iGPU.

To su podaci od intela, vidjet ćeš kad izađu. Prema njihovim grafovima je i kaby kao 15% ispred skylake. IPC bi trebao biti isti skylake 1151, odnosno kaby, a singlehread kao takav može biti bolji samo povećavanjem clockova

Drugačije je raspoređen cache i drugačija je arhitektura, još uvijek ne znamo kako će se ponašati prodajni primjerci, za sada ovi rezultati koji cure s inženjerskih primjeraka izgledaju obećavajuće.

Ima neki leak za ove laptop ulv verzije, spominje se samo veći multithread zbog duplo više jezgri/threadova (2c4t vs 4c8t), no ni riječi o većem ipc-u niti singlecoreu općenito.

Što se tiče i7 7700K vs i7 8700K, ovaj drugi će izgleda imati 200mhz veći singlecore boost

Baš me zanimaju temperature, pogotovo ako tvrdoglavo nastave sa korištenjem smeća od paste ispod IHS-a.

Da, tu će po prvi puta biti hexa uz igpu, visoki clockovi (doduše osnovni clock je 3.7ghz naspram 4.2ghz kod i7 7700K) + ako stave pastu odnosno njihovu majonezu...

Možda postoji šansa, ali IMHO teško da budu nakon svih ovih godina odustali od svoje paste, posebice kad su namazali i kompletnu Skylake-X garnituru.

The first wave of processors based on Intel's new 14 nm Coffee Lake silicon will be 6-core parts in the Core i5 and Core i7 brands, which will be launched on 22 August; with Core i3 following on much later in the year, or even early-2018. The boxes confirm several things about these chips, beginning with the fact that their integrated graphics cores will be branded "Intel UHD Graphics 6xx," and that they will require motherboards based on Intel 300-series chipset, even though their socket is "LGA1151."

There doesn't appear to be a socket key difference between these processors and "Kaby Lake," so it's possible that while 300-series chipset motherboards support older "Kaby Lake" and "Skylake" processors, "Coffee Lake" will only work on 300-series chipset, and not older 200-series or 100-series. Intel making the bold move of branding its new integrated graphics "UHD" could hint at its credentials with hardware-accelerated decoding of new video formats such as 10-bit VP9 at 4K without breaking a sweat; and new display connector standards such as HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4.

Šteta što sam potratio dvadesetak minuta na livestream. Za prijenosne su rekli 2 do 13 puta brži sistem u odnosu na sistem star 5 godina. I ostalo valjda dolazi u listopadu.

Kontam da bi onda coffee lake bio cannonlake arhitektura na 14nm kojeg nisu mogli spičit na 10nm

Kao što su prethodni linkovi pojasnili 8 generacija obuhvaća 3 vrste proizvoda - kaby refresh za laptope (zato su leakovi u zadnje 2 god. mislili da neće biti ipc poboljšanja) na 14nm +, coffee lake (14++) za desktop, te cannon lake za ultra low power cpu (10nm)

Mada treba uzet i u obzir da cpu-z nije najpouzdaniji bench na svijetu, pogotovo ako je usporedba sa različitim verzijama

The benchmark was conducted on a test setup that was running a water cooling setup (it is unknown whether it was closed loop) and showcases surprisingly good thermals. So good, in fact, that the user speculates that Intel might actually have used soldered as the TIM instead of the usual paste found in the rest of the Core-X lineup. He was able to reach an all-core clock speed of 4.8 GHz with temperatures staying below 90c (this would be decent temps for even the 7900X).

The vcore was set to auto and saw a peak of about 1.25v – which is once again pretty acceptable for an OC run. While we wouldn’t recommend a 4.8 GHz OC on any Core-X series processor, all of this information means that clocks like 4.4 GHz+ (at 1.18 vCore) should be very achievable by most users (depending on ambient temperature and the silicon lottery of course) and shows an incredible amount of horsepower tucked behind the surface of the 7980XE.
