Kam vam se tak zuri sa narucivanjem Brinka? Jos nisam vidil niti jedan PC gameplay video, sam su nam pokazivali gameplay sa playstation-a i xbox-a. Nadam se da sam u krivu, ali Brink mi trenutno smrdi na port sa konzola. Tak da moju lovu nece dobiti sam na lijepe oci.

Iskreno, nisam ocekival ovak "visoke" recommended specs.

Čovječe, minimum je 8800gs, a recomemended je gtx460. Malo prevelika razlika. A možda ima mali milijun grafičkih postavki, pa se može balansirat.

Ja sve teže mogu zamisliti načina na koji igra može flopat.
Jedino što mi se dosad baš ne sviđa je malo pretrpan UI i "glow" igrača, mislim da se to moglo malo preglednije riješiti.

We've had a lot of questions about the dedicated servers for the PC version of Brink lately, so we've thrown together answers to the most common questions out there. The big news is that the dedicated server files will be freely available, so anyone will be able to put up servers for Brink.


Before we dive into the rest of the stuff, as noted over on Bethblog, you'll be able to pre-load Brink on Steam prior to release. We'll let you know once we have more information in regards to timeframes and such.


And now, on to the questions:


What is the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server allows anyone to run multiplayer servers for the PC version of Brink. As the server is standalone, it does not require a full version of Brink to be installed and is completely free.


Where will I be able to get the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server will be available for download via Steam prior to release. Once the server is available, you can simply browse to the Tools tab in your Steam client and grab it from there.


Will I be able to run several instances of the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server on a single machine?
Yes. The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server comes with several premade bat files that automatically define different ports for each instance. It’s also possible for you to set your own, custom ports.


In terms of available game options, how customizable will the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server be?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server includes several different game configuration files covering all of the regular game modes, including campaign, stopwatch, objective, and co-op challenges. In addition, there are a variety of server-side commands available that allow you to further customize your server, including team sizes, time limits and overtime, warm-up rules, friendly fire, voice chat, availability of Command Post buffs, rank restrictions, number of bots, and password.

Easy! Once the Standalone Dedicated Server is available on Steam, you’ll be able to start getting Brink game servers up for your customers. We’re currently aiming to have the server files available before release so you’ll be all set when the game comes out.

Nema neograničeno, 3 ili 4 buffa moze ispucati odjednom i onda mora cekati da se napuni, a kolko sam vidio poprilično sporo se puni pa ce trebati malo taktike kad i koga buffati. Vidjet ces na HUD-u dolje lijevo kad ispuca injekciju da mu se jedno polje smanji.

zanimljiv je ovaj trailer. tjesim se da ce igra raditi solidno i na slabijim racunalima (kao sto je moje).

-On the question if there will be a spectator mode, not unimportant for eSports, Steve 'badman' Hessel answered:

"Not on consoles, there is only a 3rd person view. On the PC on the other hand there is such a mode. We were well aware that such a mode is wished-for." Therefore there will also be demo recording.

-Allthough I played a light body type the movement is slower than for example RTCW or Enemy Territory. On the PC version the movement will feel faster because you won't be limited to FOV 75 like on the consoles

-I was surprised by the speed during firefights. In normal shooters you're accustomed that enemies come around corners or jump over walls but in Brink they come from everywhere. The gameplay is pretty hectic, you need to keep a good overview over the battle

-I was dissapointed that there were no hitsounds.

-The teamplay reminds me of RtCW and Enemy Territory and you get the same feeling of "team power".

-the maps have a strong resemblance to Enemy Territory, the same goes for the objectives. All the maps we played were really well thought out. In contrast to some other shooters you can look forward to fascinating maps. One of the reasons why the maps are so good is surely de_dust2.

-About DLC: There won't be charged items or an item shop.

-Brink is a shooter that catches the attention right from the start. It just makes a lot of fun and it won't get boring fast. The game is definitely finished, we won't get a half-done version.

You can block every ability. You can set everyone to level 1 or if you want to some other level.
badman couldn't give a definite answer on the SDK or a promod. At the moment they want people to play the game how it's released.
About DLC: There won't be charged items or an item shop.

Talking to the ESL guys they said that they have big plans for Brink. Even TheFly, ESL founder, was also at the event. OFC they will use their ESL Anti Wire Cheat Tool. They will focus on the PC but they also plan some smaller console leagues.

hm, možda je još rano za otpisati igru koja je primarno MP orijentirana?
mislim, masa ljudi još nije ni imala priliku zaigrati online.
ostaje da se vidi, no moram priznati da mi je optimizam malo splasnuo; do zadnjeg časa sam bio u dilemi napraviti preorder ili ne, sad ću svakako još pričekati.

Poprilične su rasprave glede IGN-ove recenzije, a inače je prosječna ocjena drugih recenzija oko 80%.
S druge strane, igrači dosta veličaju balansiranost i gameplay na tragu Q3 modova.

Na kraju sve ovisi kako populacija prihvati igru u prvih par mjeseci.

a eto,gledam cijelo jutro ovaj live stream, i uzasno me igra deprimirala. toliko sam bio hypean oko igre, sad ju vrlo vjerojatno necu ni zaigrati...

tipicni konzolitis fps, zalosno je da vise nema kvalitetnog fpsa za pc, vec se sve prilagodava retardima na konzolama. jos jedna u nizu igara koja je obicni port, od bugova, do jebenog norecoila

lol, zasto onda uopce izdavati na pcu.

i onda ekipa sere kad neko ko IGN da ocjenu 6.0, iskreno igra ni ne zasluzuje vise, jer od ovog cu uvijek prije zaigrati ET ili ET:QW, koji su alfa i omega u svom zanru....

a da ne pricam da ce ih BF3 sve pregaziti
