OK guys, here is beta 12 is you want to test it out : * The HT as DC checkbox is checked by default if your proc has Hyperthreading. If it doesn't, it is disabled & unchecked Swarm dude * Minor to Major modifications with the GUI were made, in the monitoring section : check them out ! * One bug killed : OCCT didn't load Voltage monitoring values if the 3.3V sensor was disabled Enjoy ! http://www.ocbase.com/OpenBeta/OCCTPT1.1.0.b12.zip |

Nice I gave it a go, no problems what so ever. And the proc passed stabile But this little thing is not related with OCCT but with SpeedFan and other similar programs. They have a problem reading the correct CPU voltage, I guess that is because of the uGuru chip that is integrated on the mobo and does all the measuring & monitoring. Only the Abit EQ program shows correct CPU voltages. SpeedFan reads 1.22V instead of 1.7V Could you add Abit EQ to the list of supported programs, or calibrate readings for SpeedFan while reading vcores for uGuru? I could run a couple of tests and see can that be calibrated, for example if the EQ reads 1.5V and SpeedFan reads 1V and the example I already said 1.7V in EQ and 1.22V in SpeedFan. If that is so, you could just add +0.5V to the value that SpeedFan reads and the CPU voltage would be correct. Or am I bothering too much

Alot of OCCT comes from user feedback... actually, you would be amazed at how many things come from user feedback As for the readings adjustment, i don't think i'll ever implement that. in fact, it is a speedfan/everest/etc problem, and it isn't up to OCCT to modify these values... µGuru isn't very well supported, that's true, bt i don't think your 0.5V offset is common to all motherboards Sometimes it could be... let's say, 0.2V ? That would mean i'll have to add alot of stuff in the options as this can happens everywhere (3.3V, etc). Moreover, i don't think this would be useful to alot of people. In fact, you are the veru first person i remember with this kind of problems.... for 3 years now So sorry about that, but i don't think that'll make it live. Oh, and b13 is out, adding :

Just to let you guys know : OCCT PT 1.1.0.RC1 is out OCCT now always generates graphs, even if you abort tests, or if an error is detected (10s is the minimum test length for graphs). Plus a bunch of new features and bugfixes => i'm now Vista compatible (if you don't have an administrator account under Vista, only the current CPU frequency will be detected - that's the only problem right now). I only need one last word translated ("cancelled", like in cancelling a test (when the user presses the OFF button)) - i just sent mail to my translators Enjoy ! And tell me if you find any problems http://www.ocbase.com/OpenBeta/OCCTPT1.1.0.RC1.zip |

Sent mail to you 1-2 hours ago... I'll repeat: cancelled -> "prekinut" or "zaustavljen" cancelling a test -> "prekidanje testa" ili "zaustavljanje testa" To others (in english): what version do you prefer? In croatian: kako ćemo prevesti to "cancelled"? Meni je oboje OK, ovisi u kojem kontekstu stoji...

Cancelled prekinut, zaustavljen bi bilo kao paused, cancelling a test prekidanje testa. Tako bi barem meni bilo O.K.

Hy! Great job! I just want to inform you that it looks like the bug (mismatch Conroe-Allendale) is still present in 1.1.0 version.

Also, my general affirmative suggestion about languages and translations in this Ex Yugoslavia area would be: Please, be careful about differences in languages, because there are still lots of open war wounds around and for general welfare it is very good to pay attention on lots of tiny details and differences between local languages. I personally love all languages and all good people here and around the world, and I am sure that majority of people in this forum feels the same, and there is no problem reading and using some software or other thing in Serbian, Macedonian etc., but I think that it would be better to translate if it is possible, so everybody can be satisfied. EDIT: Sorry, I forgot, I can offer my help in Serbian ( Serbian is easy because there is a big similarity with Croatian, so that would not be a big help ) and for Slovenian I am not so sure...maybe someone else.

i have one question. why is my cpu temp quite lower in occt 1.1.0 than on 1.0.2a? I always use custom test for cpu only 60min. in 1.0.2a temp is 55-59 c but in 1.1.0 it is 47-54 c.

Maybe version 1.1.0 uses temperature sensor inside CPU core?

nije do senzora. nego program zagrijava slabije nego starija verzija. jer i drugi mi programi pokazuju niže temp.

Just some news about what's going on : -OCCT PT 1.1.0 was successfully validated on a 8-core system : it proved unstable. It was a bi-quad-core (2x4cores) Xeon Clovertown with 24GB of memory (yes, 24 GB). "RAM" crashed under 15min, "CPU & RAM" between 15 to 1h15min, CPU mode ran 16 hours. Here's a screenshot : -OCCT is now used by chinese power supply companies to stress-test their products I was really surprised to learn that it was THAT popular over there... -On a "what's new" or "what's boiling" in my head i'd rather say, i have planned : *A programmable test. You tell OCCT to run your own test, composed of "1h CPU&RAM, 30min RAm, 15minCPU mode" and OCCT will run it all alone and graph it. *"memtest" mode where OCCT will try to test the memory left available by the OS; it won't decently compete with memtest86, but it's still a nice addition. It's roughly done (i.e. running), but i have *NO* idea on how efficient it is right now. It is multithreaded already now i have the interface and thread monitoring stuff to implement... well, still some work on that. *"Oh great OCCT, unleash your power, kill that power supply now !" mode : CPU & GPU stress testing in order to have the maximum load on the computer. I do have a 3d test (DirectX) that is OK-ish (gets my 7900GTX only about 2°C under 3dmark2006), but it loads a CPU to 100%, and is less efficient than the *real* OCCT test. So i'm struggling to make a test that willload the GPu to 100% while leaving the CPU somewhat alone... dunno if i will be able to do it. there probably won't be any error checking on the GPU results, though. *Better Core2duo support : i ordered a E4300 this morning, along with a Asus P5N-E SLISo well, there's still alot of work to do, and i'm not quite done yet Zadnje izmijenjeno od: Tetedeiench. 20.02.2007. u 00:25. |

I agree! Also, maybe, if it is possible, that integration with Everest works eaven when everest is not installed, when it is just extracted from zip file (everest works the same way in both cases). This is because lots of pc gurus (I do not think that I am) do not like to install softvare when it is possible to have all features without the need of instalation.

beroland : it already works just launch everest, go to the options, enable the shared memory in there. Restart everest, and OCCT will find it I just can't automatically enable the shared memory, which is disabled by default. As for shutting down the computer... hum, my question would be : how do you then check what are the test results ? :/ |

If computer failed during the test there should be a message with some note about the failure. But how can a computer note a failure if he restarted becouse of unstability. simple again..... OCCT should have some log that let's say every 10 seconds note how computer is preforming. If he restarts there will be no note in log about finishing the test and then a message should pop out saying how long did it lasted. Of course this is in case CPU haven't overheated |
