Generalno gledano ja mogu prihvatiti da aplikacija koristi RAM tamo gdje bi učitavanje/obrada podataka možda bila skuplja nego jednostavno držati cachirano. Ali smatram da taj usecase nije ni približno toliko dobro rasprostranjen kao mamory leakovi.

A u ovom, totalno offtopic slučaju škužajte, da netko kaže cinnamon cachira šta ti ja znam pa zato ne laga i nije spor. Ajde, neka ga. Ali cachira i uz to je spor i lagav za popizdit. Pa jebemu kako to, kako to!?!?!

Imamo generacije developera koje nikada u životu nisu Unalloc pozvali. Nataknem ih na garbage collector.

They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting f*cked by a system that threw them overboard 30 f*cking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this f*cking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich c*cksuckers who don’t give a f*ck about them. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.

E kako me slatko nasmija.

Mislim da se radi "sakupjanje" nepotrebni poodatak u sam ram sve dok se aplikacija ne zatvori. Ja imam problem sa Photoshopom. Otvorim tezak projekat koji uzme recimo 20GB. Kada ga zatvorim u samom Photoshopu, RAM ne pada. Znaci nije nista otvoreno osim "praznog" PS-a ali ne vrijedi. RAM stoji visoko. Otovrim drugi projekat i RAM podje da raste. RLDR svaki put moram zatvarati Photoshop pa otvoriti novi PSB da se ram isprazni.

Moze se to sad staviti na teret Adobea, mozda ne nuzno MS problem ali vjerujem da pojedini programi isto rade.

Šala mala Mladene, nisam ništa loše mislio time. Ja isto želim uživati u korištenju računala a kada start menu laga, e onda mi je uživanje uvelike narušeno.

Promo, kažem, problem je u tome što developeri danas ne znaju da memoriju ponekad treba i osloboditi. Evo primjer qbittorrent, pratim ga danas i bez nekog posebnog razloga došao od 2 i nešto na 5GB u kratko vremena. Pa šta će ti to, tugo nesretna, cache je na 512MB, kakvih 5GB??? Nakon restarta je na 670 i ide lagano gore. Vjerojatno dosta toga što seeda samo ostavi učitano u memoriji i ne zanimaju ga nikakva ograničenja.

Libtorrent verzija 2.0, kaže da su napravili neki workaround za qbit 5.1 ali izgleda da je to sve džaba. Ljudi govore da je zadnja solidna verzija bila 4.6.7 a nakon toga je krenuo raspašoj.

Opet, ima RAM, je da je skup, ali ima ga, nije problem. Ali mene zanima da li je aplikacija sposobna počistiti za sobom ili nije? Imam ja vode i sredstava za čišćenje u WC ali ipak gledam da redovito pogodim školjku.

BTW, evo ga qbit na 965 dok sam ovo napisao. 980. Ajmoooo.
