Za početak probaj u Safe mode bootat pa od tamo.

Ako nejde onda probaj programom Unlockerom.

Nakon toga nekim live os/programom, hirens ili linux...

Kolegica me zamolila da probam spasiti podatke sa jednog Toshiba vanjskog diska. Radi se o 2.5" HDD sa USB Micro B portom. Nema unutra adapter nego je na pločici USB Micro B. Taj konektor se blago klatari, ali ne bih rekao da je išta polomljeno. Kupila je novi kabel.

Spajanje na komp rezultira time da nakon nešto sekundi lsblk prepozna disk, ali ga nisam niti pokušao mountati. Ako disk ostane ukopčan tijekom reboota, boot zaglavi, vjerojatno dok pokušava detektirati disk.

Počeo sam pokušaj spašavanja podataka sa ddrescue i "-n" opcijom za prvi, kao brži prolaz, bez retry. Tako je žvakalo pomalo par dana i napravio je recovery od kakvih 12% da bi onda skroz usporio.

Potom sam se išao dodatno educirati vezano za ddrescue i našao opcije "-a" i "-c" koje su zaista dosta ubrzale čitanje do nekih 20%. Čak je projekcija dovršetka bila manje od dva sata, u usporedbi sa par stotina dana u trenutku kada sam odustao od prvog pokušaja.

Nakon kakvih sat vremena ddrescue se počeo žaliti kako je možda krivi block size pa onda da ne vidi disk. Pustio sam da disk malo odmori, ali nije bilo promjena. Ako probam opet bez "-a" i "-c" ide opet sporo, ali se postotak ne mijenja s tih 20.42% ili koliko je već točno. Projekcija dovršetka par hiljada dana.

U niti jednom trenutku disk nije puštao nikakve posebne zvukove, kada se ukopča osjeti se da se vrti unutra. Na dodir se u niti jednom trenutku nije osjetilo da je vruć, jedva je bio topao. Makar u tom malenom plastičnom kućištu se nije osjetilo ništa posebno.

Klatari je malo preteška riječ, u najgorem slučaju je labav, mislim da nije polomljen. Cimanje tih milimetar gore dolje ne izgleda da ima ikakve posljedice na vezu sa računalom. Svašta sam probao. U toj fazi kada je prešao sa "sporo čitanje" na "brzo čitanje" pa na "nula čitanje" disk je skupa sa kabelom bio na polici, spojen na mini PC, apsolutno ništa se nije kretalo. Loši kontakti postaju lošiji s vremenom, ali ne baš minutu kasnije.

Preporučio sam kolegici da proba sa ranije spominjanim infolabom.
