Onda sam ja malo priglup jer ja na Win11 svaki put iznova tražim i googlam kako dodati HR layout.

Settings (logično) -> Time and Language (prilično logično) -> Language & region (napola logično jer ima i "Typing" i to najčešće prvo kliknem) -> U "Language" kliknuti tri točkice ("...") pored "English (United States)" (wtf) -> Lanugage options (wtf) -> scroll na dno i onda tek dođem do "Keyboards" i "Add a keyboard" (wtf).

Na WS2008R2 (aka Win 7) sad sam u 3 sekunde, bez da znam napamet gdje se nalazi, našao: Control Panel (logično) -> Region and Language (logično) -> Keyboard and Languages (logično) -> Change keyboards... (logično).
Hvala kolega na detaljnom opisu ovog ludila, međutim ne zaboravi da na kraju balade HR tipkovnice nema na listi, nego Standard. To je isto mnogo logično. I, naravno, navedeni win11 koraci vrijede za ovu ediciju, pitanje je gdje će to utrpati s idućim većim releasom. Logično bi bilo da se još dodatno više zakomplicira, i da konačnu lokaciju sakriju iza barem još 5 klikova. Neka pitaju jebeni AI da li to ima smisla, ja mislim da i nabadalo vidi da je to suludo.

Dati ću jedan primjer: jučer sam na jedan laptop instalirao win 11, na drugi MX linux. Za potonji je trebalo barem duplo manje vremena, s time da sam bio i umorniji i tanjih živaca dok sam se zezao s MX.

Sa windowsima kod bootanja nikakvih problema, sve sigurno, sve šljaka, ali mi iz nekog razloga ignorira unattended.xml. Uopće mi se niti ne da ići kopati zašto, neka ga.

Onda hoće da odaberem region, i otvori onu ogromnu listu koja ne reagira na tipkovnicu, tako da možeš ti stisnuti C ili H ali budeš morao scrollati do toga što tražiš. Što, ako miš nije pri ruci, ne ide. Ostavim na UK, neka ga. Pametniji popušta.

Onda pizdi sa svim onim glupostima, ova telemetrija, ona telemetrija, skoro me motivirao da obustavim proces i da idem istražiti što se dogodilo sa unattended fajlom. Ali izdržah.

Onda slijedi debilana s accountom. Oće online, ja idem na domenu, pa OK, pa next, pa confirm, da, da, DA ne želim taj jebeni online account, odjebi, ostavi me na miru.

Onda poslije instalacije pali 3-4 puta update; prvi put kao skida a sve stoji smrznuto; pa onda kao skine ali stoji sve na retry; pa onda nekoliko ciklusa update i reboot. I naravno da čeka da ti napraviš restart nakon što žvače pola sata, jer naravno da ja imam vremena gledati u nj cijelo to vrijeme. Naravno.

I tek onda kreću te mješovite debilane s tipkovnicom, default aplikacijama, ovim onim. Najosnovnije stvari ne rade. Najnajosnovnija funkcionalnost pasivno agresivno zakomplicirana. Pa mater im jebem, ponudite dobar software pa nećete morati drkati ljude da isti koriste.

Umjesto da olakšate korištenje vlastitog softwera vi namjerno komplicirate korištenje tuđeg, kreteni jedni. Hrpetina gluposti koje su rezultat retardiranih fix ideja. Debili.

S druge strane, MX linux. Bootam live ISO, problem, secure boot. Predmetni lenovo ima neki čudan BIOS pa malo mozgam dvije minute dok skužim kako ugasiti to sigurnosno čudo tehnike, i nakon toga radi bez problema. Onda problem s Nvidia grafikom, setup neće nego ryzen integrušu. Neka ga.

Bootam ISO, dođoh na desktop za 1-2min, okinem install, esc za prekid integrity check ISO image (instalirao isti 10x, radi), klik za dodavanje tipkovnice, stisnem C, par puta strelica dolje, i eto crvenbijeliplavi: Croatia. Onda kliknem na drugu opciju da odaberem vrstu tipkovnice (with guillemots, jel'te). I to je što se region tiče to.

Setupiranje diska je najdugotrajniji dio postupka. Obrišem postojeći FS (windows 11, naravno, brišem ga bez razmišljanja) napravim EFI i jednu BTRFS particiju, dodam potrebne sobvolume, next, confirm, instalacija kreće. 3 minute ako pogledaš da li ima šta na mobitelu.

Kroz idućih par ekrana poklikaš opcije za swap/zram, napraviš (offline, nema nikakve potreba za bilo kakvim zaobilaznim metodama) account, regija, timezone, domena i još pokoja opcija.


Za divno čudo, ne pita ništa za bilo kakvu telemetriju. Dok sve ovo uneseš instalacija je gotova, reboot i eto te na desktopu. Ukucam "sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y && sudo reboot". Gotovo, idući put kad pogledaš desktop sistem instaliran i up to date. OK, dodatno sam pokrenuo aplikaciju za instaliranje nevidije, MX ima milion malih aplikacija za te razne sitnice.

Naravno da poslije svašta nešto podešavaš po svojim guštima i potrebama, ali ove najosnovnije stvari su jednostavne, nisu nepotrebno zakomplicirane, jer za to jednostavno nema potrebe. Nema prisile, nema nutkanja, sve je na izvol'te pa biraj što ti paše.

Od MX default browsera, playera i raznih viewera mi se ne povraća. Ako ti nešto od toga ne paše, nema problema, slobodno deinstaliraj i instaliraj nešto drugo. Default aplikacije se podese u 10-15 sekundi, sistem ne traži da podesiš default aplikaciju na 45 ekstenzija ponaosob.

Ovo je za mene sumrak razuma. Oprostite, jučer sam gledao Kruleta pa me malo inspirirao i dok ovo pišem on čita naraciju u mojoj glavi Ponijelo me.
