AMD FSR 4.0.2 FINALLY working on RX 7000 series!
Citiraj:
AMD’s final FSR4 release uses FP8 (8-bit floating point), which is only supported on RDNA4 architecture. The leaked INT8 version works on Radeon RX 7000 cards, but not on RX 6000 series, as RDNA2 lacks WMMA (matrix) acceleration. Those cards would need a different version to function. Since AMD never confirmed plans to support FSR4 on RX 7000, it is unclear whether these leftover files were part of early development or something dropped in favor of another technology, such as FSR Redstone, which may have broader compatibility.
