OverTheWire is a collection of wargames. Wargames are basically CTF-style challenges where you need to perform a particular task to get a special token as proof that you've cleared that level. In the context of OverTheWire Bandit, which is what I'll primarily talk about, you need to search for and find a secret password to advance to the next level.
