Intel je postepeno dolazil do toga da izbace AVX iz mainstream modela, jer su zapeli u vremenu i prostoru s monolitnim jezgrama i svojim proizvodnim procesima, a ovo čudo AVX tehnike im dodatno drobi ionak zdrobljene procesore, tak da su odlučili da to "nije bitno", a bilo je godinama u svim mogućim PR materijalima. Velim, svi to koristimo bez da znamo, jer hrpa običnih svakodnevnih aplikacija podržava AVX instrukcije, a serverski procesori s obje strane nude itekakve mogućnosti, ali Intel je sam sebe stjeral u kut, dok je AMD na kraju i za Zen 4c i sada novi Zen 5c samo malo presložil LEGO kockice, zadržal SMT i AVX-512, tak da sad jedan 192-core EYPC košta i troši manje, dok parira najnovijim dual-Xeon mašinama.

On average for the tested AVX-512 workloads, making use of the AVX-512 instructions led to around 59% higher performance compared to when artificially limiting the Ryzen 9 7950X to AVX2 / no-AVX512. The Zen 5 AVX-512 implementation with the Ryzen 9 9950X saw its performance go up by 56% while the Ryzen 9 7950X Zen 4 with its "double pumped" AVX-512 implementation saw its performance go up by 41%. Zen 4's AVX-512 was great and now with Zen 5 it's even better with the SKUs having the full 512-bit data-path. This is especially good news for Ryzen 9000 series (EPYC 4005?), EPYC Turin, etc. Making the Zen 5 AVX-512 results all the more exciting is that even with the 512-bit data-path there is no significant difference in the CPU power consumption. Like with Zen 4 AVX-512, whether AVX-512 is on/off the results were typically within a few Watt difference.
