Koliko se može skužiti, Alien: Romulus je tzv. woke, jer je u glavnoj ulozi ženska koja nema tipične fizičke predispozicije za Xenomorph peripetije.
Na stranu sad da je cijela Alien franšiza zpočela taj trend ženskih likova koji nadilaze situacije u kojima se nalaze. I onda još za dobru mjeru, Alien: Romulus radnjom smjeste između orginalnog Aliena i još boljeg nastavka Aliens, tak da sva tri spomenuta filma imaju itekakvu povezanost uz popratnu raznolikost likova, a neki su čak i pripadnici manjina.

Ripley is often considered one of the most significant female protagonists in cinematic history, and is a prominent figure in popular culture.
