Trebalo mi je malo dulje, ali napokon sam našel vremena da upogonim prijašnji Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G kak i priliči u kombinaciji s Fedora Workstation 37 operativnim sustavom. Uz Fedoru, razmišljal sam da složim aktualni Debian, Ubuntu, Pop!_OS ili openSUSE, jer svaka od tih distribucija je i više nego dobra za moje potrebe, a obzirom da bi na svima završilo GNOME sučelje, na kraju se nisam previše zamaral, a i Fedoru sam koristil još od prvog Ryzen 5 1600 modela, pa je opet prevagnulo na tu stranu. Istinabog, mašina se već koji tjedan veselo vrtjela s Fedorom 36, ali kad se već nudi nadogradnja na novu 37 verziju koja ionak stiže za koji dan - nek se veseli , a sav hardver je uredno prepoznat i radi kak spada.
Jedino čega sam se pribojaval u smislu potencijalne nekompatibilnosti je kakvih 50 kn vrijedan TP-Link WN725N USB nano wireless adapter kojih imam već par komada i rade besprijekorno na Windows sustavima, ali sam se ipak za svaki slučaj pripremil za kojekakve borbe s vjetrenjačama, tako da to čudo tehnike što lakše upogonim na modernim Linux distribucijama. Šok i vjeverica moment je nastupil odmah prilikom instalacije, kad je rtl8192eus čip uredno prepoznat u pravoj plug'n'play maniri kakva je inače poznata na Intel sustavima. Uz to, Logitech Unifying Receiver za bežičnu periferiju je također prepoznat bez ikakvih problema, a obzirom da sve radi i nakon Fedora 36 na 37 nadogradnje, ko zna - možda mi Vidoviti Milan šalje pozitivnu energiju dok ovo pišem, pa bolje da ne izazivam vraga.
Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G na 3.6GHz se pod 100%-tnim opterećenjem ne zagrijava više od ~50°C, a pošto je riječ o mobilnom APU rješenju zapakiranom u AM4 desktop izdanje, taj procesor sam po sebi nije neki pretjerani potrošač i kalorifer.
Vega iGPU isto tak s friškim Mesa driverima odrađuje svoj dio bez pardona.
