Method 1: Clean air vents
Follow the steps below to clean dusty laptop vents that are not allowing heat and air to pass through:
Turn off the computer
Remove the AC adapter and battery
Use a compressed air can to blow the dust out of the vents and replace the battery
Method 2: Close Applications
Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc
Click the Processes tab to view all running processes and sort by usage by clicking the "CPU" header
Identify which programs are consistently using the most CPU
Select the program and click on “End Process”
Method 3: Update BIOS and Power Manager
