There is an unconfirmed rumour that the Chinese government is going to replace the current Bitcoin trading market to monitor all the trades. Currently their opinion is that Bitcoin can be used as a way of laundering and extortion, and has no real use. It can be also used to move assets to overseas without having the government’s permission, which is against the law here in China.
This should explain the massive drop that is happening now.
