Obje Vega kartice su na kraju ispale ni-vrit-ni-mimo, bez obzira što 56 izgleda bolje u odnosu na 64 model. IMHO, mogli su komotno izdati Triple-Fan Vega 56 prototip kao referentni model, jer je očito napravljen po uzoru na Sapphire Tri-X R9 Fury OC, a samim tim cijela situacija oko potrošnje i buke ne bi bila ni približno toliko loša. Jasno da budu custom modeli bolji u tom pogledu, ali nakon godinu i pol su mogli odmah ići s nereferentim modelima. Na temelju svih (na)pisanih recenzija, Phoronix je jedini koji je uistinu oduševljen s novim Vega karticama, čisto radi odlične Linux podrške, dok su se Techgage jedini osvrnuli na Workstation & Compute stranu priče. Ostali su na ovaj ili onaj način isfrustrirani Vegom, što se posebno vidi kod HardwareCanucks recenzije:

So there you have it. After a nearly two years of false leads, junk tabloid journalism, an endless number of teases by AMD and a solid 48 hours of benchmarking we now know where AMD’s RX Vega fits into things. For those who waited all this time in the hope Vega would compete with the best nVidia had to offer, this launch will likely end with a mix of regret and hope. But if you are someone who appreciates value, then AMD might just have something for you. With all of this being said, what AMD has done here is nothing short of masterful; they've laid just enough breadcrumbs over the space of more than a year to keep potential buyers in a state of perpetual suspended animation. Then they used events to insure interest remained at a slow, steady boil by allowing the press and online personalities to release tantalizing morsels of information and unboxings at strategic intervals. Folks waited, and waited, and waited some more. Vega is what they are left with and looking back on this long, meandering path I’m honestly not sure this strategy will work in the long run.

Talking to AMD’s engineers, what especially surprised me is where the bulk of those transistors went; the single largest consumer of the additional 3.9B transistors was spent on designing the chip to clock much higher than Fiji. Vega 10 can reach 1.7GHz, whereas Fiji couldn’t do much more than 1.05GHz. Still, what it means is that those 3.9B transistors are serving a very important performance purpose: allowing AMD to clock the card high enough to see significant performance gains over Fiji.

Sve u svemu, kartice su zamotane u jako lijepa pakiranja i oko toga su svi suglasni. 56 model će po svemu sudeći biti kartica po izboru mnogih koji se odluče na kupnju, pogotovo kad stignu custom modeli, ali nažalost daleko je to od onog što nVidia već ima spremno. Obzirom da su u vrlo kratkom roku postali jedan od većih/utjecajnih igrača na AI, deep/machine learning, HPC GPGPU području, nažalost uistinu nemaju razloga (jedno dogledno vrijeme) brinuti se oko konkurencije.
