Google has started obfuscating their Gmail code, making it unreadable! What was a difficult job (after a half to one-hour job reformatting the densely packed code to a readable state before I could even start analyzing it) has now become impossible.
The changes Google have made have rendered the Init, Mouse Button and Compose Events patches ineffective.
As I can no longer read the code to figure out workarounds, it is with much regret that I must admit defeat. If you still want to use Opera to access Gmail, your only option is to use the Opera 7.60 beta.
Remember to Identify as Opera, otherwise Gmail won't respond to mouse clicks! Press F12 to check your settings.
