til now anyone wishing to use a 3rd display in Eyefinity mode on ATI 5000 series graphics cards had to use a DisplayPort screen. This was seen to be quite restrictive by end users as they essentially had to buy a new monitor but Sapphire has come to the rescue.

Now users can take advantage of resolutions up to 7680x1600 over 3 DVI enabled screens by installing the DisplayPort to DVI adapter which is an active powered device (USB power).

It will be interesting to see if Sapphire begin bundling this with their high end hardware in the future.
