My issue was resolved by disconnecting one of the CD/DVD units installed in my system. Bam, it installed with no errors.
I have the DVD unit setup as master and the CDRW unit set to slave on the secondary IDE channel. I'll change both to cable select later on, I'm just happy it's working!
