Couldn't start the year without a bang, so here it is, this time for the ATI fans since I have made them wait since October, new Omega Drivers for Windows XP based on the official Catalyst 7.12 drivers.

What's New in Omega Drivers?
v4.8.442[*] Based on the Catalyst 7.12 Official drivers.[*] Major video card support rewrite from scratch. This time every Radeon card under the sun should be supported, if the divers don't install on your card you either have a freak of nature card or a card too new that not even the ATI has support for it. (Many thanks to all the people that sent their unsupported IDs)
[+] Added support for desktop HD3k Series and laptop HD2k Series.
[+] Experimental Gamma settings. Now whatever gamma setting you set on your desktop should pass on to your 3D applications. (tested with Adobe Gamma)
[+] The "temporary" fix for AGP cards still included. Waiting for ATI releases an official fix... *sigh*[*] Upgraded installer to reflect logo/site changes.[*] Upgraded drivers to v4 because of the previous details, plus thanks to a new install method I found, reduced the driver's size by a lot without loosing any features or options.


Known Issues:
1) After installing the drivers you will notice that they give you version number 3.8.442 instead or 4.8.442, no need to worry, is just a typo, sorry about that, I added the new version number when I was building the new installer and totally forgot about the driver build, since it was already compiled.

2) For the 2D->3D gamma trick to work properly you must NOT run CCC (if you have it installed); when CCC is open it forces it's own gamma settings overriding any gamma you have set using a 3rd party tool. If you happen to open CCC by mistake, in order to recover the gamma correction values, you only need to run whatever gamma program you use and gamma should be back to your settings again.

3) Since Overscan has been from the drivers, if you need to connect your PC to a regular TV that DOES need overscan in order to view it properly, you need to install the official CCC Control Panel from ATI after my drivers so you have access to the new "scaling" feature and scale the overscan to fit your needs.

4) From Cat 6.6 and up ATI removed driver-level support for the following series of cards (including Mobility models): Radeon 7k, 8k, 9k-9250 Series. Since the Omega Drivers use ATI drivers as a base, that means they will also not include support for these chipsets, they may install, but the PC may give you a BSOD or a black screen upon boot, install newer drivers at your own risk. People that need to install Omega Drivers on these cards should use v3.8.252 or older, you can get these on the Archive section of my site.

Nice, ubrzo stavljam pa javim dojmove. :) Valjda sad budu Tray Tools-i radili na HD3850. :)

Ako misliš na overclock-mislim da neće:)

Ma mislio sam na sve - oc, regulacija venta, profili i sl. Necu onda ni stavljat ako overclock nece radit, ne volim koristit vise utility-ja. A Riva kad postavi odredjeni takt, on ostane i u 2D modu. :( CCC ne stavljam ni za zivu glavu :)

Evo vidis srv to sam i ja mislio. Onda sam stavio CCC. Mracno dobro radi. Mracno.

trenutno imam drivere za grafu iz siga koju sam dobio sa cd-a...jel bi dobio na perfomansama kad bi ovo stavio?

steta sto neazuriraju nvidia drajvere :( inace kad sam imao atia samo omega je bila kod mene :)

@Fleks: mozda na kraju i stavim CCC ako se umorim od cekanja postene verzije ATT-a. :) Ima li CCC regulaciju brzine venta, makar za 2D i 3D mod?

ccc nema nikakvu regulaciju brzine venta, ali je po meni trenutno najbolji za oc 3850 (samo za one kojima je 770mhz dovoljno, ofkors ;))
atitool mi smrzava komp, a riva (kako je već spomenuto) zakuca taktove na istu vrijednost u 2d/3d modu što dovodi do znatno većeg zagrijavanja u 2d.

on topic: jel netko isprobao ove drivere? jesu bolji šta od vulgaris 7.12?

Nisam probao cekam da proba neko drugi :D

@Stevo: Nema nazalost... Al sta nisi ti uzeo accelera??? A att cemo cekat jos neko vrijeme kako se cini. Lik na forumu tam zica da mu ekipa da pare za hd3850 da moze napisat podrsku za nju kad sam zadnji put gledao, naravno niko ga ne dozivljava :(

Jedino imam na kompu UT3 pa će mi to poslužiti kao za test
1280x1024 sve moguće opcije upaljene na max i aa..me sve :)

idem sada staviti omega drivere pa se strpite malo dok nebudu stavljeni

edit:
eto stavljeni su omega i osim što mi nakon svakog resetiranja kompa izbacuje neke erore[koristio sam driver cleaner pro 1.6[zadnji]] ali sam to riješio,u igrama je sve isto.Isti fps ista grafika...uopće nema razlike..tako da sam se opet vratio na starije drivere koje sam imao

essssssssssss a pazi ovo prije tjedan dana sam trazio drajvere sa omege jer sam stavio bio nove windowse i banana i onak ljut koji k i evo ih sad :D

Pa tak su negdje i izašli-prije 6-7 dana:D
I za XP i za Vistu.

Jer se isplati staviti na hd3870? Jer ako nema nikakvog napretka ne isplati se sve bristati itd...

Accelero S1 nisam uzeo jer ga u tom trenutku nije bilo. Eno jos uvijek ga nema.

Accelera ces se nacekat ako je suditi po linksovom forumu. onak cim dodje se razgrabi, a imaju opet male kolicine trazene robe... Ja sam svog kad sam ugrabio imao vise srece nego pameti. Isto tak i sa grafom...
