Gigabyte ploča, njen bios i njihov support

Evo zadnjih par dana imam prepisku sa Gigabyte supportom oko nekih postavki u biosu, odnosno zašto iste ne mogu naći. Evo c/p njihovih odgovora na moje upite.

Question : I have a GA-8IPE1000-G(Rev 4.x) motherboard, and cannot seem to find quick post option (every second reboot memory is fully tested), which i find annoying, and there is no cpu temperature shutdown option in bios. I would like to have bios that supports these functions, as vell as cpu multi change (I am aware that it can be changed with MIB, but I do not like to do system changes in windows, and I do not like that utility).

Thank you for supporting GIGABYTE products and contacting GBT Tech Support. As to the problem you mentioned, please try to update BIOS to the latest version where you could download from: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ProductID=1863

Please make sure that you extract the file you download. And you will receive three different files. Then please save it to your floppy disk under A:\. We suggest you to use Q-Flash tool to update BIOS. For more information about BIOS upgrading, please kindly refer to motherboard user manual or you may visit our website: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...flashBIOS.aspx

After bios updating, please do not forget to load BIOS fail-safe default setting and please also do not try to overclock your system at this moment.

Question : As to Your answer to my earlier question, I have latest bios version for my motherboard model (F5), and that version does not solve my problems.Please issue a new bios version that has cpu shutdown temperature settings, cpu multiplier settings (I am aware that my Northwood is unlocked only to lower multi), and quick post setting. I do not find Your earlier answer to be satisfactory.

BIOS version F5 has Quick power on self test function under Advanced BIOS
features and CPU warning temperature function under PC health status.
Meanwhile, if you can not find the CPU multiplier settings, it means the CPU
you have is lock the function.

Question : There are no such options under Pc health status and advanced Bios setings. I already had latest bios on my mobo when I bought it. I reflashed F5 bios, as You instructed me, but that did not help. BTW I am fully aware of ctrl+f1 showing extra options. Still there is NO cpu temp warning settings, and quick post is not enabled (my ram is tested every boot-up). If You like I can upload and send links of pictures of my bios settings and my bios version, as proof that there are no such options on my motherboard.

Question : I repeat: there are NO SUCH options in BIOS settings. They are (mostly) enabled through Your easy tune utility, but even if I were using easy tune (which I am not-because I do not like such widows utilities, or I may as well be a Linux user, because there is no linux version), that does not solve quick post problem. Please issue a bios verion that has above mentioned options built in it. Thank You.

Neznam kako vama, ali meni je presmiješno da se od jednog Gigabyta ne može dobiti bios sa podrškom za quick post i cpu shutdown temperature.

Ja sam inače razočaran sa Gigabyte-om, dosta loš support

eh, i ja sam imao Gigabyticu, poslao sam im i ja upit, pa su me fino odhebali

Imao sam 2 gigabyte ploce, sa niti jednom nisam bio zadovoljan i zato nikad vise gigabyte...: baad :

nisam primjetio ali mislim da niko nije spomenio opciju biosa koju gigabyte ima a mislim da je ctrl+f1 ili shift+f1 nisam siguran. znaci u biosu stisnite to i trebali biste dobiti prosirene opcije.barem je na mojoj ploci tako

Kod grafičkih su dobri...ali matičnih suksaju..čast iznimkama!

mada da im je katastrofalan support....

Gle po meni je katastrofalan support onaj koji se niti ne potrudi odgovoriti na upit (npr. po mom iskustvu Gainward, gore NE MOŽE). Ali ovo je presmiješno, da me uvjeravaju da je tu nešto čega nema, pa koga su oni to zaposlili u support? Hrpu trinaestogodišnjaka možda, koji se kao kuže?

Loš je i Sapphire, uopće ne odgovaraju, sa Antecom sam imao smiješnu situaciju da su mi napravili nekakav "support ticket", pa sam mogao pratiti online što se dešava s mojim pitanjem.
I što se desilo? Njih 5-6 je ping-pongalo moje pitanje od jednog suppporta do drugog, sve dok jednom nije dosadilo i zatvorio je sve skupa kao riješeno BEZ DA SU ME IJEDNOM KONTAKTIRALI. Lolčina
Epox mi se isto pokazao loš, dok nisam naletio na Europski, svaka čast, odgovor isti dan (onaj na nizozemskoj domeni)

Što bi to trebalo značiti da će kao nešto poduzet ili da se yebem? Ja se nadam da ću uspjet sredit asus p4p800, ako uspijem Gigabyte ide na placu.

Pričekaj tjedan dana, ako ti se ne jave, uzmi Asusicu koju planiraš uzeti.

A support je koma...Asus caruje po ovome što vidim...svi odgovori su došli isti dan ili idući dan rano ujutro i uvijek je bilo rješenja,nije bilo nikakvog duljenja.

Asus je već kod mene, a "sređivanje" je topla nada da ću uspijeti naći što ne valja s pločom i popraviti kvar.

Nemam love za shocking, a ovo mi je palo u ruke kao pokvareno, ploča je u stanju doć do progress bara od win boota, dalje ne ide, a ako se ulazi u bios zbloka se. Kako su na njoj izgorila 3 MS napajanja nadam se da je samo u pitanju corupt bios, ili da je izgorilo nešto nebitno, tipa lan kartica. Nije za vidit da je išta pregorilo, bar ne golim okom. Uglavnom kad ulovim vremena, imat ću nešto za igrat se, bar neko vrijeme.

Sa Gigabyteom imam dobar odnos.
Nekoliko puta sam ih maltretirao. Odgovorili su mi u roku 3 dana i jedanput su mi dali najnoviji bios jer su u verziji prije pronašli bug. Za pohvalit.

Još bolja iskustva imam sa Asrockom od kojih sam dobio odgovor u roku 24 sata.

Ma gle evo meni već tjedan dana svaki puta odgovore unutar 48 sati (osim preko vikenda), ali me tupani cijelo vrijeme uvjeravaju da je tu nešto čega nema. I na kraju mi daju neki maglovit odgovor da će problem MOŽDA biti riješen. Pa što je to dobar support? Ako mi neko ne vjeruje sa foruma, evo posudit ću digitalac, pa da vidite kako izgleda ploča bez quick posta i cpu temp shutdown opcija. Te opcije je imala moja abitica SA7 koja je pred skoro 5 godina bila najjeftinija brand name ploča za P4 sa 533fsb.

Nisam siguran, ali koliko se sjećam niti moja GA-7NNXP, svojevremeno najjači model nije imala cpu temp shutdown opciju.
Imala je samo onaj trotle ili tak nešto koji se je mjenjao u postocima.

Ovdje nema ničeg, ima prikaz temperature, voltaža, ali NIŠTA za podesit. Strašno, neznam što drugo reć. Da se podesit iz windbloza preko onog njihovog easy tune alata, ali ja mrzim te šarene niškoristi utilitye, koji mi bezveze vise u trayu i troše resurse. Šta je tolki problem tih par stvari ostavit otključane u biosu? Nije mi uopće jasno zašto toga nema, ako je greška onda nek se povuku iz posla jer je to već četvrta revizija te ploče, a ako je namjerno izostavljeno onda su jednostavno debili. Uglavnom moja prva i zadnja Gigabyte ploča. Pa nije da tražim Vdimm ko' na DFI lanparty seriji.

A tek da vidiš debilizma na njihovoj KT880 chipset ploči (al bar stabilno radi pa sam složio comp mojoj 7-godišnjakinji da igra SIMS-e :) )
