The NEC LCD2490WUXi has been a very popular monitor in the United States. It's one of those rare 24" IPS based screens, and has received a lot of attention in the market place there. However, the screen has never been readily available over in Europe or the UK....until now!

NEC have recently told us about the upcoming launch of this screen in Europe, expected to happen in February. We are currently waiting for a review sample to put it through its paces, but in the mean time, here is the information about the new model:

The 2490WUXi is H-IPS based and features an Advanced True-White Polarizor as well. The screen offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 8ms G2G response time (16ms ISO), 800:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles. While there have been a couple of other IPS based screens released recently (e.g. HP LP2475W), the NEC 2490WUXi actually uses standard gamut backlighting, which covers the normal 72% of the NTSC gamut. For those who are not fans of the extended gamut displays, and want to work within the normal sRGB colour space, the NEC has proved popular.

We will hopefully feature a full review of the screen soon, but it is expected to be launched in Europe this February, retail price to be confirmed.

Tko voli nek izvoli, ali ja bi radije 30" HP-a za tu lovu.

cijena će biti strašna, ali je i monitor strašan ;)

da imam tu lovu na raspolaganju, bolje 24" NEC nego 30" HP :P

ništa, sutra uplatiti loto i pripremiti se.
