GeForce 7100GS, 7900GS i 7950GT

nVidia is set to release three new products in the coming weeks to do battle with ATi during the holiday season. This time around nVidia is launching new mid-range and entry level offerings to take on ATi’s recently launched Radeon X1300XT, X1650 Pro, X1900XT 256MB, X1950XTX and X1950 CrossFire. nVidia’s new offerings arrive in the form of the GeForce 7100GS, 7900GS and 7950GT.

At the entry level side of things nVidia is replacing its GeForce 6200TC with a new GeForce 7100GS. The G72 based 7100GS retains Turbo Cache support like the GeForce 6200TC it replaces. There will be 128MB of onboard memory which translates into 512MB effective memory with nVidia’s Turbo Cache technology. The GeForce 7100GS is also backed by a 64-bit memory interface with compatibility with DDR2 memory. Four pixel shader units are available on the GeForce 7100GS. Core clock of the GeForce 7100GS is set at a rather conservative 350 MHz. nVidia SLi and PureVideo technologies are supported by the GeForce 7100GS, though it lacks the SLi bridge connector.

Moving up is the retail nVidia GeForce 7900GS. Previously the GeForce 7900GS was only available as an OEM offering from system manufacturers such as Dell. Woot also had OEM versions of the MSI GeForce 7900GS for sale at $139 a pop a couple days ago as well. Specifications for the retail GeForce 7900GS are identical to the OEM versions. A 450 MHz core clock is joined by a 1.32 GHz memory clock. It’s also equipped with 20 pixel shader units and 256MB of graphics memory. Support for HDCP is dependant on individual graphics card manufacturers.
Dell has been selling the 7900GS in its XPS systems for some time, but you cannot buy the cards individually.

At the upper spectrum of nVidia’s mid-range lineup is the GeForce 7950GT. Sporting a 550 MHz core clock and 1.4 GHz memory clock the GeForce 7950GT is a successor to the previous GeForce 7900GT. Memory size has increased to 512MB with the GeForce 7950GT. The GeForce 7950GT will also have 24 pixel shader units like the previous GeForce 7900GT. HDCP compliance and dual dual-link DVI outputs are standard on all GeForce 7950GT cards as well.

SLI technology is supported on the GeForce 7900GS and 7950GT. Availability of GeForce 7100GS, 7900GS and 7950GT cards are expected in the first half of September for for less than $100, $199 and $299 respectively.

Mozda, vec ima X1900GT za 1700kn, samo onda bi 7600GT morala past ispod 1300kn.

m4dm4n 27.08.2006. 14:55

Pa ja sam već bio kupio 7600GT za 1200 kn, dakle cijena im je već pala, a za 7900GS očekujem cijenu od 1500-1600 kn, da ubije x1800GTO, jer njoj nitko ne konkurira trenutno

SRV 27.08.2006. 17:04

Ma cak i 7600GT je brza od X1800GTO, tko ne vjeruje nek pogleda nedavni test na: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/vid...ames-gpus.html

Gainward Bliss 7900GS 512MB...
Citiraj:

Gainward is getting its new card ready for the retail market. The first samples are being prepared and the specs are finalised. The company will brand the card as the Gainward BLISS7900GS PCX 512MB TV Dual DVI.

The card is clocked at 450MHz core and 1320MHz GDDR 3 memory with 256 bit interface. The card comes with 512 MB of memory which slowly is becomeing a standard.

It should end up a little bit more expensive than €199 as it has twice as much memory than the standard Geforce 7900 GS card. Gainward did a special high performance and quiet cooler for the card and claims the support for Essential Vista, Pure Video HD, Extreme HD ready and a few other nice marketing gimmicks.

The card yet again uses G71 chip and this one has 20 pipelines enabled. The card should be in retail/etail in the next two weeks, probably after September 15th.

Asus 7950GT...
Citiraj:

Asus has actually already announced the Nvidia's 7950 GT card. The card is called by the snappy moniker ASUS EN7950GT/HTDP, GeForce 7950 GT and comes with 512MB GDDR3 memory clocked at 1400 MHz while the core works at 550 MHz. it also has two times DVI a TV-out and it is a PCIe 16X card. Its ordering code is (90-C1CIC0-JUAY).

The card has 24 pipelines and uses 95W so you better have at least 350 W PSU to power this card. It also supports HDCP and it is about two weeks away from the announcement.

GeForce 7900GTO...slijepi putnik
Overclockers.co.uk online store is currently taking orders on the GeForce 7900 GTO graphics cards, which are claimed to have GeForce 7900 GTX graphics chip that features 24 pixel shader and 8 vertex processors and operates at 650MHz onboard along with 512MB of 1320MHz memory. Priced at £199.74 including value added tax (VAT), this board is a hybrid of the fully fledged GeForce 7900 GTX (650MHz core, 1600MHz memory) and GeForce 7900 GT (450MHz core, 1320MHz memory). The online store expects 2 thousand GeForce 7900 GTO units to arrive on September 11, 2006.

Citiraj:

This card is more or less identical to any other 7900 GTX on the market accept for two differences. The first is its memory is clocked slower and secondly, look at the price. Performance wise these cards are only approx 3-5% slower than a 7900 GTX with full speed memory, but you can easily overclock these cards as well. So when you consider the price, this is an amazing deal. Be quick! Stock will soon be gone!
