Gledam malo onu Core Voltage stavku ... trljam oci (dug je bio dan) ... ali me cini se ne varaju.

Novi Gulftown puno bolje regiraju na dizanje napona, nego što su reagirali Bloomfieldi. A pošto je i sa potonjima srušeno 6GHz, ovo je samo početak Gulftownove slave.

Ne. WR drže Shamino i Kingpin...~43k...što je za reći nego fenomenalni rezultat. S ovom su konfiguracijom su srušeni rekordi i u 3DMarku 03, 05, 06 te Vantageu.

Intel researchers working on self tuning CPU

'Silicon Madness reports Intel researchers are working on a more energy efficient processor prototype that automatically tunes itself based on various parameters like clockspeed, temperature and voltage.

By using some of die space, Intel's engineers are able to do way with some of the methods used today in processor binning. Intel will still choose the best silicon for more expensive processors but it can now do so without that incurring a power and frequency penalty due to the safety margins required. The processor will also automatically adjust itself when the user provides better cooling to the system, readjusting itself as needed when temperatures get warmer during the summer, without any need of user intervention.'

Intel worries about GPU viruses

'Intel is studying all the possibilities to ensure security with Larrabee, as the chip giant is worried that hackers may be able to create the first GPU viruses. X-bit Labs reports sooner or later hackers will find ways to executive malicious programs on GPUs:

Thanks to multi-core architecture, GPUs can process multi-threaded tasks much more rapidly than central processing units. But while GPGPU technologies provide a number of benefits, they can also harm in case GPUs execute malicious code. Intel Corp. believes that GPU viruses are about to emerge and is taking steps to ensure that its forthcoming Larrabee is secure enough...'

Je da nema veze sa temom al svejedno..
Nijedan senzor ti pod LN2 neće pokazivati realnu temperaturu. Eventualno onaj u BIOSu (kod mbo) no i to je jako upitno. Da imaš negdje očitat pravu temperaturu pod LN2/DICE nebi mi kao "must have" navodili K-type termometar.

Intel Core i7 960

'Earlier this year there have been rumors about an upcoming Intel Core i7 960 -- well it's here already.

The processor has a clock frequency of 3.2 GHz and is replacing the recently introduced 3.06 GHz Core i7 950. The all new 960 will cost 562 USD. The Core i7 960 has four physical CPU cores hyper-threaded towards eight, 8MB L3-cache, a 4.8 GT/s QPI link with a 130W TDP.'

New Celeron E3400 2X+ faster;

Intel's soon to launch Celeron E3400, a CPU with 1MB cache, 2.60GHz core clock and an 800MHz FSB can end up more than two times faster when compared to the old Celeron 440 single-core 2.0GHz CPU with 512kB cache. Celeron E3400 is the latest addition to the new dual-core Wolfdale 45nm-based generation of Celerons. Celeron 440 is a single core CPU based on Conroe-L, 65nm.

This time we are talking about the remaining CPUs from the Core i5 branding category for desktops and in early January Intel plans to launch five new parts.

Since the Core i5 brand is already out as a quad-core, we are certain that this announcement will bring some additional confusion over what are you buying. The slowest of the dual-core desktop clan is Core i5 650 and this one works at 3.2GHz, has two cores and four thread support as well as 4MB cache. It will start selling on the January 3rd for $176, wholesale price.

The faster brother is Core i5 660. It shares the same spec but works at 3.33GHz and should sell for $196.For the same money you will get Core i5 661 that shares the same spec but doesn't support SIPP 2010 and if you want the best dual-core you will have to reach for Core i5 670 and get yourself a 3.46GHz CPU that will debut for $284.

Intel to release Core i7 930;

The most successful and longest selling Nehalem CPU, the Core i7 920, will finally be replaced in Q1 2010 by Intel.

This move was previously expected with the introduction of Core i7 950 and 975XE and once again with the Core i7 960.

The release of Lynnfield Core i7 860 was expected to cannibalize i7 920 sales, and this may have happened. The replacement, Core i7 930 runs at 2.88 GHz, and is expected to fit in the same $280 price range.

ASRock launches affordable i5/i7 platform;

The P55DE3

ASRock, the affordable side of Asustek, has lunched a new P55-based motherboard dubbed the P55DE3. With this board ASRock aims at those craving a nice punch without splashing too much of their hard-earned cash on the i5/i7 platforms.

This P55-based board features 4+1 phase design and ASRock recommends Core i5 series CPUs. P55DE3 supports up to 16GB of "2400+(OC)" DDR3 memory. The board supports Intel's Turbo Boost and will come with Turbo Monitor, allowing for closer inspection of your "turboed" pet.

The official site lists 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode), 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (at x4 mode, 2.5GT/s), 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots (2.5GT/s) and the board will feature four SATA II 3.0Gb/s connectors and two powered eSATA II/USB connectors.

The I/O panel features Coaxial SPDIF out, optical SPDIF out, six USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA II/USB connectors, RJ45 LAN Port with LED and 7.1 channel HD audio (ALC888).

As usual, ASRock ships a slew of their tools and apps with this board, and the list includes: Instant Boot, Instant Flash, EZ OC, OC Tuner, IES, OC DNA and multi-speed fan control. The company even addressed the sometimes-annoying LEDs with their "Good Night LED" option in BIOS, which will when turned on extinguish the keyboard and power LEDs when the system is in hibernation/standby mode.

Another money-saving feature on this board is the possibility to instal LGA775 coolers through the provided mounting holes, which will surely save some cash to those who for instance already own an LGA775 cooler. ASRock calls this "technology" Combo Cooler Option, but we'd imagine that such a "technology" is pretty easy to develop with a keen eye and a drill of some kind. Still, a nice option indeed.

Dok se posteni testovi sa tim stvarcicama ne pojave i dokazu svoju isplativost i napredak ... pametno bi bilo pricekati s ocjenama.

DFI MI P55-T36 Mini ITX P55 motherboard detailed; TCMagazine.com

You've seen it in ATX, in micro ATX form and now it's time to admire Intel's P55 chipset powering a Mini ITX motherboard. The rather cute and compact model seen below is the MI P55-T36 made by DFI and it features a 6-phase PWM, support for Core i5/i7 LGA 1156 processors, the ABS II CPU auto upgrade technology, and two DDR3 memory slots.

The mini ITX board also boasts one PCI-Express x16 slot, one eSATA and three SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel integrated audio, a Clear CMOS button and a debug LED.

The MI P55-T36's pricing and release date are yet unknown.
