Ali me hebe što ne prikazuje dobro slike u whatsappu kada uploadam. Sad jel trebam kaj uključiti ili nemam pojma. Ne da mi se sada to istraživati pa se vratio na FF.

Ne vidim ništa posebno u LibreWolfu osim da troši 3x više RAM-a od Firefoxa i osjeti se da je sve sporije. Čisti profil, ništa nisam migrirao.

Pa nitko nije ni rekao da je Librewolf ista posebno. Firefox minus "Firefox bullshit". U biti ono za sto je Firefox nekad stajao a to je privatnost korisnika.

Želiš poručiti kako kod tebe FF nakon nešto sitno vremena upotrebe ne ode na 6+ GB RAMa?

LibreWorlf kod mene sa 20 tabova, ukupni RAM usage 14.6GB.
Zagasim LW, ukupni RAM usage ode na 8.55GB.
Ponovno startam LW, 3 taba, 9.85GB. Kroz koji sat ode to opet na 5-6GB.

Po meni je to najnormalniji standard za browsere danas (koliko god bilo nenormalno).
Koliko ja znam, jedino rješenje za takve probleme je agresivno unloadanje tabova.

Iako razumijem i onu logiku koja nalaže da ako RAMa ima da RAM treba i koristiti.
Samo što mene muče korjeni koje sam pustio u assembleru u kojem je RAM svetinja

Ne ode nikad toliko, ma neka on troši koliko hoće, ali stvar je u tome što se cijeli OS uspori u vražju mater zbog LibreWolfa odnosno lošeg RAM managementa, ispada da 32 GB više nije dosta za ugodan rad...

Logika da je free RAM useless RAM ne pije vode, nemoguće je raditi čim tako ode na 80% i više.

Ne znam zašto kod tebe to toliko usporava. Možda zbog page fajla? Ne vidim kako bi LW sam po sebi za to bio odgovoran.

Moje iskustvo sa FF je da više manje pojede istu količinu RAMa. Iako ga nisam koristio već neko vrijeme.

Naravno da kada RAM usage pređe granicu, da će poći sve u materinu.

Sada je kod mene ukupni usage išao već na 11.7GB. Zatvorim dva taba pa ode na 10.7GB. Tako da nije klasičan memory leak u pitanju.

Kod mene na win11, Firefox radi praktično cijeli dan, trenutno ima 9 tabova otvoreno, 1350MB zauzeće memorije.

Za usporedbu, kod mene Brave sa otvorenih 20 tabova (razne stranice):
Maltene isto, samo je Vivaldi, 30 tabova (nisu hibernirani), uptime dan i pol, ~3,5 GB RAM-a. Imho, to je neka normalna cifra koju vidjam

Browser u pravilu ne gasim, komp navecer hiberniram i tako u krug.

Firefox + uBlock Orgin je stvarno super, od kada sam prešao s Chroma na njega apsolutno ništa mi ne nedostaje. Nema ništa reklama na Twitchu i Youtube-u. Eto jedino zna ponekad imati kakvu sitnu greškicu pri prikazu stranice jer je sve optimizirano za Chrome ali sve u svemu ja super zadovoljan.

Ne sjećam se gdje sam čitao, ali mislim da i sam ublock dev preporučuje FF, jer je jedini browser koji i dalje dozvoljava low level integraciju ad blockera. Odnosi se vjerojatno i na sve podverzije FF tipa Librewolf itd.

Kak se Brave nativni blocker nosi s YT reklamama?

TLDR: tko zeli samo da Adblockeri i dalje sljakaju kak spada > Firefox. Tko zeli to + postivanje privatne sfere > Librewolf ili neka od ostalih Gecko baziranih rijesenja.

Ima li itko kakvih saznanja vezano za LibreWolf i temp cache? Svaki puta kada pogledam (na par raznih instalacija) u "clear data" dijalogu, prikazuje mi se 0 kao filesize za keširane fajlove. Ispada da LW ili ne koristi cache (što ne bih rekao da je slučaj pošto bih generalno očekivao sporije otvaranje stranica) ili možda koristi /tmp, što bi značilo da je to onda samo RAM.

/tmp nije RAM osim ako ga tako ne konfiguriras u fstabu.

Na dobrom dijelu distribucija koje sam koristio zadnjih par godina to je bio default. Koliko vidim to uključuje i LMDE ali ne i MX Linux. Potonji možda zato što sam ga intalirao na mašini s 8GB RAMa.

Ali to nije tema. Našao sam "browser.cache.memory.enable" koji je uklj na LW, što vjerojatno objašnjava pojačanu upotrebu RAMa. Ne znam kaka je situacija na FF po tom pitanju, iako sumnjam de kešira 3-4 GB temp fajlova.

"browser.cache.memory.capacity" je u mene -1
"browser.cache.memory"max_entry_size" je 5120.

"browser.cache.disk.capacity" 256000
"browser.cache.disk.enable" je false

"devtools.cache.disabled" je false.

Jeste, to je to (uz browser.cache.memory.enable = false & browser.cache.disk.enable = true)

Moguće da se korištenje RAM može dovesti u normalu ako se browser.cache.memory.capacity postavi na neku razumnu vrijednost, npr. kao cache na disku na 256000.

LW izgleda po defaultu, za razliku od FF, gasi keširanje na disku. Privacy na max. Nisam zadovoljan, trebali su pod minimalno implementirati enkripciju na RAM cache.

Probajte waterfox ako vam ne pase librewolf. Mozda više paše. Cak bih htio floorp koristiti ali imam osjecaj da nema bas security updatea toliko cesto pa tko zna, plus napravljen je samo za winse.

Nakon desetljeća Firefox-a prešao sam na Brave. Sve djeluje življe.
Za sada vidim jedan problem, ponekad, kad otvaram nešto u novom tabu, vrti u nedogled i nikako da pokaže stranicu. Moram zatvoriti tab i probati ponovo jer refresh ne pomaže. Najćešće se to događa na Redditu. Ima li lijeka za to?

Prešao na Librewolf prošli tjedan, zadovoljan sam. Nisam primjetio neku razliku u performansama naspram Firefoxa kojeg sam koristio odavno ali ako je ovaj sigurniji onda i trajno ostaje.
