In the newest 22H2 Insider builds for Windows 11, Microsoft is offering the AMD pre-release 31.0.12000.20010 UWP driver and the driver package also comes with the 22.05 OpenGL beta driver which massively boosts the performance of AMD GPUs in OpenGL applications.

AMD preparing AI-based Noise Suppression technology, an alternative to nVidia RTX Voice

Noise Suppression technology has just appeared in a leaked teaser video that was accidentally posed by AMD themselves on YouTube. Although the video was already taken down, Redditors were quick to make a copy. From the video we learn that Noise Suppression will work the same way nVidia does, which noise cancellation for input and output devices by injecting AI magic into of the audio pipeline. AMD will be adding this technology to its Audio and Video tab into the AMD Software Adrenalin Driver. So it will be part of the AMD software stack, combining even more features into one app. It is not quite clear when the technology will become available, but the leaked tear clearly mentioned ‘available now’, indicating that it should have been posted when the new driver is released.

Amd Revamped Its Drivers for Directx 11, Performance Increased by 10 Percent

AMD has decided to revamp its own drivers for DirectX 11, and this has produced a big performance boost. An average of about 10 percent, and in some games one can expect up to 30 percent performance gain.

Incidentally, AMD boasts of its strict testing approach, where it uses 6,000 different hardware setups.

AMD has provided as many as 26 updates for its own WHQL drivers last year alone. However, the reds are not only focusing on the latest APIs, but also seeking to introduce optimizations for older ones, and the improvements made for DirectX 11 are a good example of this.

AMD is claiming that optimizations made for older DirectX 11 APIs have caused performance to increase by an average of 10 percent compared to drivers 22.5.2 from May and 22.3.1 from March.

Odlicne vijesti od Amd-a za DX11 optimizaciju, jos se ceka kada ce u nove drivere ukljuciti podrsku za RSR (FSR 1.0) za Polaris i Vega grafiku, tako da se ne moraju koristiti programi za aktiviranje FSR 1.0 u svim igrama.

S obzirom da je mining-gpu groznica opala, mozda RSR i ne dovedu na starije arhitekture i tako da korisnici tih starijih kartica vise kupuju nove Rdna 2 i 3.

Da, čini se OK i stvarno bi za nadolazeće RDNA 3 modele mogli imati kompletni softverski paket. Obzirom na kuršlus zvan Intel ARC GPU, Radeon i GeForce budu još jedan dulji period jedini izbor.
