At first glance
I probably appear to be a somewhat ordinary,
somewhat average looking fellow.
Calm, harmless, at ease.

comic book collecting,
Monty Python dialogue memorizing,
Dungeons and Dragons playing GEEK
that I struggle daily to keep hidden from the world.

is the greatest fucking film of all time!

you’ve never seen Big Trouble in Little China.

And he will.
Because he’s a fucking Geek.

And he wants his toys.
He wants the complete set
in mint condition,
still in the box.
He wants every item on the planet that is even remotely related to Ultraman.
Because Ultraman is Airwolf!

He could give a squirt of piss
about sports or politics or rhetoric.
Such things are of no consequence to him.
What matters is the release date of the next Lord of the Rings movie!

You see, The Geek can’t wait.
The Geek has no patience.
He wants what he wants when he wants it.
And all he wants is stupid shit!

He wants his own Tardis.
He wants his own light saber.
He wants to buy a DeLorean and he wants to drive it 88 miles per hour.

He wants movies.
He wants to see the Director’s Cut.
He wants the impossible to find Japanese bootleg with
6 minutes of never-before-seen footage.

He wants to watch Blade Runner. Again.
He wants to watch Brazil. Again.
He wants to watch A Clockwork Orange.

15 otvorenih tabova, generira 17 chrome.exe procesa uz utrošak od cca. 330 mb memorije. Too much, no preglednik je brz i otvara bez grešaka ( za sada ). Npr, u FF nisam mogao ispravno pogledati stranicu javno.net.

Počeo koristit Chromium, i sad vidim da novi release izlazi gotovo na poludnevnoj bazi. Updatea li se on automatski ili baš i ne?

Inače "killer feature" je odličan jer osobno u pravilu nikad ne koristim više od 3-4 taba istovremeno (doduše znam se i ja zanijet pa otvorit nekad i 6-7 ). Tako da sad konačno imam pravi low memory-usage browser.

moraš ga ručno updateati ali u biti one početne 'ozbiljne' bugove su riješili skoro isti dan tako da se ne moraš opterećavati...
skini Chrome Nightly Builds Updater i sa njim možeš provjeriti koji je zadnji build, je li prošao stability testove i automatski ga skinuti ako želiš:

Jedno rješenje imaš par postova iznad, ako ti se da kopati po sql bazi pogledaj ovaj link.

Kako si prebacila bookmarke iz Chromea u FF?

Chromium sve sejva u svoj folder ili ima neš kaj sejva u Local user settings?
Isto ima sve u User Data folderu, i tamo ima jedan file koji se zove Bookmarks i gle tamo se nalaze bookmarki koji sam napravio u Chromiumu! Znači li to da ne spremaju jednako bookmarke Chrome i Chromium? Tj. to se može zaključiti iz viđenog.
Ako skineš portable, onda sve sprema u svoj folder.

Kako si prebacila bookmarke iz Chromea u FF?
Nisam. Chrome nema taj feature još. U principu sam radila jako puno c/p, a onda sam se sjetila da su mi bookmarksi od FF i Chrome više manje isti, jer Chrome imam tek tjedan, dva, pa sam vratila bookmarkse iz fajla u FF, pa iz FF u Chromium.

Za managanje i brisanje pojedinih stvari iz favoritesa pogledaj ako nisi , mislim da je bilo i govora o sinkroniziranju bukmarkova!

Nisam. Chrome nema taj feature još. U principu sam radila jako puno c/p, a onda sam se sjetila da su mi bookmarksi od FF i Chrome više manje isti, jer Chrome imam tek tjedan, dva, pa sam vratila bookmarkse iz fajla u FF, pa iz FF u Chromium.
I mislio sam si, ali rekoh možda si otkrila nešto novo.

Za managanje i brisanje pojedinih stvari iz favoritesa pogledaj ako nisi , mislim da je bilo i govora o sinkroniziranju bukmarkova!

Sad sam malo zbunjena; kaj Chromium nije portable Chrome?
Chromium je GPL verzija Chromea i to je zapravo daily build.

Pa mogu se fino importati bookmarkovi iz mozille u chrome

tools (onaj kljuc)/import bookmarsk and settings/odabereš mozillu/i klik ok..i to je to

sada ce ti se to u chromeu staviti pod "other bookmarsk"..jednostavno radiš drag&drop na bookmarsk bar..eto to je to..nije da je bajno ali je ok

Od kada je izašao, svakodnevno ga koristim i doista je osjetno brži od FF. Istina nedostaju mu još neke osnovne stvari kao ovo sa exportom bookmarka ali sve se to može relativno brzo i lako dodati. Ne znam što čekaju.

Zna li netko što je sa Chromiumom i njegovim različitim spremanjem bookmarka?

... dovoljno je backupirati Bookmarks file ili prebaciti cijeli folder na drugi PC ako želiš prebaciti i history, cache, downloads, session...

Monty Python dialogue memorizing,
Dungeons and Dragons playing GEEK
that I struggle daily to keep hidden from the world.

But The Geek Wants Out.

He want to talk to you.
He wants to give you his doctoral dissertation on why
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
is the greatest fucking film of all time!

He wants to bitch slap you because
you’ve never seen Big Trouble in Little China.
What? Have you been living in a fucking cave?!

He wants to kick your ass in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
And he will.
Because he’s a fucking Geek.

And he wants his toys.
He wants the complete set
in mint condition,
still in the box.
He wants every item on the planet that is even remotely related to Ultraman.
Because Ultraman is Airwolf!

He could give a squirt of piss
about sports or politics or rhetoric.
Such things are of no consequence to him.
What matters is the release date of the next Lord of the Rings movie!

You see, The Geek can’t wait.
The Geek has no patience.
He wants what he wants when he wants it.
And all he wants is stupid shit!

He wants his own Tardis.
He wants his own light saber.
He wants to buy a DeLorean and he wants to drive it 88 miles per hour.

He wants movies.
He wants to see the Director’s Cut.
He wants the impossible to find Japanese bootleg with
6 minutes of never-before-seen footage.

He wants to watch Blade Runner. Again.
He wants to watch Brazil. Again.
He wants to watch A Clockwork Orange.
Again and Again!

But I deprive him of these things, as best I can,
until I can no longer ignore his voice
screaming in my head.

I am Jekyl. He is Hyde.
I am Bruce Banner. He is the Hulk.
Especially the Hulk from issues #272 to #378.

But no longer!
I am putting a stop to all this nerdy shit right now!
I’m an adult, for Christ’s sake!
And this body isn’t big enough for the both of us.
One of us has to go, and it’s gonna be him.
I banishing the Geek forever to the Phantom Zone,
just like in Superman II !
