Što se tiče resetiranja USB porta/uređaja našao sam ovo:

Naletio sam već nekoliko puta na taj Baeldung i ekipa piše stvarno OK članke. Budem to proučio i pripremio si nešto za drugi put.
Nije ti to neki bauk. Skuzis koji USB moduli (driveri) su ti aktivni i napravis reload istih. Na primjer:

Ne daj bože da Fedora izgubi jednog korisnika Borba za svakog čovjeka lol

Sve su to dobre sugestije, bude bilo nešto od toga pa probam kada se dogodi. Nego, kada sam već krenuo u zajebanciju s ovime, htio sam instalirati usbutils paket ( https://github.com/gregkh/usbutils ) koji valja sadžri usbreset. usbutils paket koji dolazi s fedorom nema usbreset unutra. Čisto da ne bude zabune.

Ono što mene sada prcka (troubleshootanje nakon cijelog dana troubleshootanja, i to u 19:06) je što mi predmetni paket (kad pokrenem autogen) tvrdi da ne nalazi libusb-1.0.

Opet radis sranja bez razumijevanja materije. Nemoj. Imas tocku 5 i 6 sa tog linka koje si postao - napravi to ako bas hoces tvrdoglavit.

U nedostatku razumijevanja materije sam i postavio pitanje. Opredijelio sam se za točku 4 zato što su točke 5 i 6 predicirane na razumijevanju materije predmetnog outputa sa sys/bus iz kojeg ja ne mogu iščitati koji je to moj predmetni adapter odnosno usb uređaj. Čovjek koji smatra da je ovo razumljiv output treba potražiti pomoć stručnjaka koji mogu propisivati psihotropne lijekove.

Ovu materiju je lakše shvatiti pa sam se iste primio očekujući da instalacija predmetnog usbreset ne bi trebala biti toliko problematična, ali ispada da libusb1, kada je instaliran iz repozitorija, ne napravi libusb.pc file, kojeg treba pkg-config da bi isti linkao. Pretpostavljam da razumijevanje predmetne materija zahtijeva još 50 do 100 sati rada, tako da obustavljam jer jednostavno nije vrijedno.

Bingo. Pokusaj uvijek na jednostavniji nacin rijesit problem nemoj skakat uvijek na kompleksna rijesenja.

Hvala na očitom savjetu. Probaš jedno, probaš drugo, probaš treće. Ne vidim u čemu je problem? Meni se učinilo da bi instalacija tog sranja trebala biti jednostavna, ali eto, nije.

dmesg otkriva koji je od ovih gore predmetni usb uređaj.

Što se modula tiče, ja sa lsmod ne nalazim ništa što sadrži "hci" u nazivu.


EDIT: sad vidim da "sudo lsmod" i "lsmod" daju drugačije rezultate, iako niti jedan ne lista navedene ehci module. modinfo ehci_hcd i ostalih pokazuje da su loadani moduli. YMMV.

Ja sam se pomirio tamo negdje prije 15 godina da standby/hibernate na Linuxu ne radi dobro i da vjerojatno neće nikad raditi

Oduvijek mi je standby radio savršeno. Koristio sam Debiane/Ubuntu na ThinkPadima, tu i tamo neki CentOS.

Zadnja dva službena su Dellovi. Također radi out of the box. Doduše bilo je ranih problema s dizanjem iz sleepa ali to je bilo do BIOSa (zezalo je na Linuxu i Windozama).

Na PC kantama je bilo problema s Gigabyte pločama jer Gigabyte ne može napisati stabilan BIOS bez hrpetine bugova niti da im život ovisi o tome (IOMMU, USB, ethernet…). Na Asusu/Asrocku je uvijek radilo.

Lenovo Tab 10 - radi standby na Ubuntu. Druge distre nisam probao.

Mislim da mene moguće prca MSI po tom pitanju. Imaju hrpetinu biosa za ovu ploču i trebalo je nekoliko godina updejta samo da mi proradi USB-C port. Kod mene se ti problemi očituju prvenstveno time što USB portovi prestanu raditi a i s internetom se počnu dešavati čudne stvari. Konekacija postane lagava te se qbittorrent više ne uspijeva spojiti (port zaglavi pa se to može ponekad riješiti promjenom porta, druge pute ne može).

Nisu to tako strašni problemi, pogotovo kada pomećeš u autostart potrebne aplikacije, bude to vrlo blizu dizanju iz standby, jedino naravno sporije. Ali sve radi out of the box.

Nije mi vrag dao mira. Cista instalacija Fedore 41 KDE na glavni komp (u sigu) i HP Elitebook. HP Je preko USB-C porta spojen na vanjski dock i preko njega spojen na vise USB uredaja, glavni monitor i mrezu.

Test 1: Boot > ostavljen komp 5 minuta u idle > klik na sleep > ostavio 1 minutu > budenje > sve radi nakon par sekundi.

Test 2: Komp radi cca 30 minuta i normalno ga koristim > pustim ga u idle i automatski da ode u sleep > budenje nakon 10 minuta > nakon par sekundi opet sve radi.

Neznam kaj da ti velim pajdo Jedina HW razlika je sto ti imas nvidia grafu i to bi moglo utjecat na sve skupa ali ne na nacin koji opisujes....mreza i USB uredaji moraju radit. BIOS postavke su kod mene na defaultu osim sto je modern standby iskljucen , USB i sve ostalo se gasi kad gasim komp. Dali imas neke aplikacije koje si naknadno instalirao da nisu iz sluzbenih repozitorija a startaju se kad startas komp ili su aktivne kad ti komp ide u sleep? Jel imas ista van standardnih fedora repozitorija i rpmfusion ukljuceno?

Kad već spominjete B550 i USB...

Slučaj od prije par dana - bootam na stolu komponente u rinfuzi, neka Asrock pločevina, AMD B550 chipset, endivija GPU, pokrećem ventoy s nvme2USB adaptera, uštekano otraga u MBO USB-C 3.2 gen2 port. Boot uredno krene i stane na pola. Totalna blokada, na ekranu ništa pametnoga, ne možeš dalje nikako, tipkovnica mrtva. Ne radi nijedna distra koju sam probao: mint, fedora,.... Prva pomisao da je ono govance od nouveau drivera radi probleme, ali ne, ne boota niti s posloženim kernel parametrima.
MBO inače boota bez grafe normalno, ali ovaj put opet blokira.
Update i prčkanje po BIOS opcijama ne pomaže.

Na kraju usred takvog zablokiranog stanja naživo ištekam iz tog porta i uštekam u susjedni USB-A port i boot uredno nastavi dalje
Svi ostali USB2/3 portovi bootaju normalno, samo taj USB-C zajebaje. Jednom kad je sustav podignut, port radi uredno

Pa bio je neki problem sa USBima na Zen2 i 3 na win ako se dobro sjećam, ali navodno je to odavno riješeno preko BIOSa.

Tomek, ja imam dva odvojena problema. Prvo, logitech adapter se ne probudi nakon dizanja iz standby. Ponekad se to dogodi nakon petog buđenja nekad nakon sedmog. Nekad se dogodi u dva buđenja od tri. Malo prije, recimo, nije se dogodilo. Jučer mislim da je. Ukupno bi to sada bilo 4-5 buđenja, nisam pratio.

Drugi problem koji se do sada dogodio 2 ili 3 puta, je da mi front panel ode off uslijed vađenja/stavljanja USB pogona. Jednom je to bio USB M2 adapter/case, drugi put Samsung flash drive.

Mislim da tvoj test case ne pokriva ove situacije. Nisam nikada probao više puta opetovano spuštati komp u sleep da isprovociram prvi problem, imam određenu averziju prema gašenju/paljenju računala kada to nije potrebno.


Shadow, kažem ti, meni taj USBC uopće nije radio do unatrag godinu dana. Nisam niti imao neki uređaj za probati, dok nisam nešto se igrao s tim USBC hubom pa kada sam prvi put probao nije radilo nikako. Probao i linux i onaj drugi operativni. Nakon cca godinu dana napravim flash biosa i onda je proradilo i sada radi, kada probam. A nije baš da to koristim, nego eto, sada imam taj M2 adapter koji se spaja (i) na a type C.

11 na ovo računalo neće nikada. A 10 nisam dovoljno dugo koristio da bih to mogao kazati. Vjerojatno nikada nisam ni stavio u standby na 10. Ali dobro pitanje, da.


EDIT: btw, od softwera koji nije iz repozitorija, pretežito jedino razne appimage imam. Baš zato su mi zgodni za aplikacije koje ne koristim stalno, da budu izolirane na jednom mjestu. Imam i neke stvari koje nisu appimage a koje su nisu instalirane u root: jdownloader, SubtitleEdit, PDFSAM, invokeai, takve stvari. To nema nikakve servise koji bi mogli zaglaviti s nečime.

Nije mene strah ničega. U windowsima 11 jedino što je nepoznato je nakon kojeg random reboota budeš dobio BSOD i više ne budeš mogao koristiti svoje računalo. Jer, jebiga, deveti ogromni feature update nije testiran a netko mora na kraju testirati. Ne treba mi to smeće i đenja. Imaju milijarde korisnika pa neka im oni testiraju daju vlastite podatke za majnaje, nisu im još i moji potrebni.

Nije mene strah ničega. U windowsima 11 jedino što je nepoznato je nakon kojeg random reboota budeš dobio BSOD i više ne budeš mogao koristiti svoje računalo. Jer, jebiga, deveti ogromni feature update nije testiran a netko mora na kraju testirati. Ne treba mi to smeće i đenja. Imaju milijarde korisnika pa neka im oni testiraju daju vlastite podatke za majnaje, nisu im još i moji potrebni.
mkey drag si mi al sad ga dramis izvini. Koristim Win 11 od izlaska i osim par stvari koje zivciraju OS je rock solid i dosad ga nijedan Update nije skrsio. Ako ga ne zelis koristiti, ok sve 5 svatko ima pravo na svoj komp staviti sto zeli. Al od ekipe koja drami oko 11-ice mi se vec riga iskreno. Tak je bilo za svaku verziju Windows OS-a od XP-a na dalje a na kraju su svi zavrsili na istom. Uvijek je tak bilo i tak i bu. Komp je samo alat s kojim zelis "nesto" napraviti a svi znamo da kad je Desktop u pitanju Windows je i dalje car sto se tice izbora aplikacija. I ne ne vjerujem da ce se u dogledno vrijeme to izmjeniti kolko god bismo i ti i ja htjeli da je drukcije. Draze mi je koristiti Linux kao Desktop OS zbog nacina na koji sve funkcionira ali ako mi treba hrpa aplikacija koje su pisane za Windows ili mi hardwer ne sljaka stabilno ili samo polufunkcionalno na istom onda si primoran koristiti OS za koji imas drivere i support.

Suma sumarum > nit je Linux sveti gral savrsenosti nit je Windows 11 takvo sranje kakvim ga mnogi prikazuju. Koristi ono sto ti omogucuje da efikasno odradis sto trebas. Ako te svaka Linux distra na tom kompu prca u mozak sa takvim bugovima ili se s njima pomiris i nades workaround ili te funkcije vise ne koristis ili stavis OS koji radi kak spada i za koji su driveri napisani kak spada i vozis dalje (hint: druga distra nece rijesiti problem ovdje doslovce mislim na prelasku sa Linux sklopa drivera na Windows). Kad je Server u pitanju moj je izbor uvijek Linux ali kad je Desktop u pitanju...iskreno zaboli me vise, koristim ono sto mi zadaje manje glavobolje i sto iskoristava hardwer do punog potencijala i bok. Dal je to Linux ili Windows ili nekaj trece - zaboli me kiki.

Ja mislim da ti dramiš više nego ja i iznosiš argumente koje ja nisam uopće niti spominjao. Dugo godina sam koristio windowse, gurao sam sedmicu dok je išla, i bio sam svjestan da na desetku ne budem išao kada nabavim novi komp. I tako je i bilo. Nisam srao ni po ovima ni po onima, meni je taj alat dobro služio. Osmica mi je bila teški trash tako to nisam imao nikakvu namjeru koristiti.

Mene kao mene windows za dnevno korištenje ne zanima, prije svega iz razloga privatnosti. Za moj use case linux software je dostatan. Iz moje perspektive, izbor softwera na linuxu je ogroman i meni dostatan. Kada bih morao koristiti nešto iz windows sfere onda bih morao koristiti windows, očito. Kako ne moram, ne moram.

Moje jedino iskustvo s windows 11 je bila instalacija na poslovnom laptopu, gdje je OS uredno, čisto i bez ikakvih problema instaliran da bi na kraju, nakon zadnjeg reboota kojeg obično napravim na samom kraju da vidim je li sve OK, jednostavno na bootupu pošao u BSOD. Nešto vezano sa SSD. Nakon sat vremena troubleshootanja više mi se nije dalo, vratio sam se na 10 i ostavio tako. Sve normalno, normalna instalacija i na kraju ne ode u BSOD na bootu.

Ako mi je najveći problem na linuxu to da mi nakon nekoliko buđenja iz standby zapne taj jebeni adapter (inače ja bežične miševe ne preferiram, nego Master 3S ne postoji žičana verzija), neka ga. Htio bih to riješiti ako je izvedivo, ako nije sigurno se zbog toga neću vratiti na windows. Ovo što mi je do sada dva puta u 5 godina zaspao cijeli front USB header, to mi također ne igra pretjeranu ulogu. Ono što bih najradije promijenio je da stavim adapter otraga tako da oslobodim jedan port ispred, jer mi trebaju oba povremeno. Tako da ako to uspijem riješiti s resetiranjem USB kontrolera ili porta ili šta li, onda mi ovo praktično više neće predstavljati nikakav problem.

S druge strane, ako ovo usporedim s povremenim problemima na windows 10 laptopu mogu kazati da je windows puno problematičniji. Suspend to RAM nije radio nikako na laptopu, teška katastrofa. Suspend to RAM na kompu s linuxom radi puno bolje. Možda je to više do laptopa, a možda su u šumi.

Dalje, nakon buđenja iz standby windows redovito izgubi mrežu (LAN) i ponekad treba čekati i preko minutu da dođe sebi. Dalje, pokretanje iz hibernacije na laptopu traje znatno dulje nego S4 na kompu, logično. Dalje, windows management na windowsima je po meni katastrofa. Rasporedim si tri prozora, jedan na pola širine ekrana, druga dva po pola druge polovice ekrana, i on uporno, u raznim situacijama, te prozore s polovine visine prebaci na punu visinu. Smiješno.

Dalje, povremeno, ali redovito windowsi na lapotpu se smrznu, odnosno baš jako uspore, prilikom shutdowna. Obično prije nego napravim povremeni reboot koristim službene MS alate da malo počistim kramu (Disc cleanup utility) jer windows takve stvari baš iznimno voli gomilati. Napravim reboot i laptop se jedva dovuče do desktopa. Perforrmanse kao da je CPU ostao na pola jedne jezgre i 512 MB RAMa. Pustim ga da se "stabilizira" da vidim hoće li doći sebi i ništa. Napravim još jedan reboot i nakon deset minuta vrati se na desktop i ponaša se kao da ništa nije bilo, sve po starom.

Možda je to sve zbog samog laptopa, možda je nešto od toga potaknuto i mojim načinom korištenja (mjeseci hibernacije) ali činjenica je da OS super čist, samo nužni minimum instaliranog softwera, ne koristim ga nizašto drugo ne za posao. Nema na njemu nikakvih privatnih pizdarija, sutra si ga mogu uzet natrag i dati na forenzičku analizu ako hoće. U skoro 6 godine ove firme dva puta samo otvorio portale (ono jednom kada je imbex tražio od čitatelja da potvrde da nisu članovi HDZa). Nikakvi eksperimenti, samo i isključivo alati potrebni za obavljanje posla.

Suma sumarum: svatko ima svoji način upotrebe, potrebe, očekivanja i iskustvo. Ja sam danas updejtao BIOS, trajalo je puno kraće nego inače, ne znam je li to dobro ili loše. Budem vidio kako će se ponašati ovaj tjedan.

P.S.- Elitebook je bio sad u sleepu cca pol sata. Otvorim ekran - nista. 10 Minuta prode - nista sivi ekran. Reboot. I isto sranje neovisno o distri to ti tupim. PowerManagement na Linuxu je jednostavno traljav. Instaliraj Windows 10 ili 11 i testiraj dal se i tamo dogada da izbacis OS iz jednadzbe.

Kako sam kazao, instaliran je windows 10 kao dual boot OS, ali ne mogu se prisiliti da ga koristim tjedan dana. Pogotovo što je dokazivanje negativa neizvjesno.

Rekao bi ja da mkey nije nikada probao Win ME; e to je bio bogovski OS.
Tamo je svaka promijena trazila reinstall OS jer bi ga skrsilo.
IMHO najgori (tj najnestabilniji) OS koji sam ikada imao prilike koristiti….

Ali da, neshvatljivo je ovo panicno izbjegavanje win10/11, probaj covjece, ne grize, 11 su dugo vani i vj su popeglaniji, imaju mana, ali nisu tako losi kako si zamislio.

Ni ja ne volim win 10/11 ok, ne volim taj metro gui gdje ne vidim kaj je druga app i tako (kada nisu u fullscreenu). Jbtg... nemam više 20 godina i zdrave oči.



Doduše ne volim ni web stranice gdje se dijazneri zaigraju pa bijela pozadina i onda neka siva slova.


Korisim oba OS-a i svak radi svoje. OK, koristio sam i treći (Mac OS) kada mi je trebalo tj. kada je firma radila na njemu.


Svaki ima svoje prednosti i mane.

Nisam nikada Win ME koristio, istina. Koristio sam kratko 95 (to je bio neki eksperiment godinama kasnije) i dosta dugo windows 2000 koji mi je u vrijeme fakulteta bio čisto solidan za moje potrebe. Znam da je ME bio često predmet izrugivanja.

Ono što, disco, nije istina, je koliki ČITATELJI ovog foruma nisu u stanju ČITATI ali su uvijek u stanju komentirati. Za takve jednostavno nemam vremena. Ideš ti frende lagano na ignore. Sve najbolje.

spider, s tobom se slažem, svaki alat ima svoju upotrebu. Generalno smatram da, ako je nekorektno ljude na windows temi nagovarati da koriste linux, onda je isto tako nekorektno ljude na linux temi nagovarati da koriste windows.

Ne radi se tu o tome da netko nekome želi preporučiti već brane svoj izbor. Klasični fanboy pristup od kojeg sam umoran. I onda sam ja za psihijatriju. Upravo smiješno. Jednostavno odrastimo i krenimo dalje. Neka svatko odabere svoj OS ili bilo što drugo i neka živi sa svojim izborom. Nadam se da je to zadnje na tu temu.

Da se vratim na predmetni tehnički problem, ovaj put uspavanom adapteru nije dugo trebalo da opali snooze. Ovo danas je bilo drugo buđenje iz sleepa nakon updejta biosa jučer tako da nije dugo trebalo.

tomekova sugestija nije urodila plodom.

Kada to odradim dok adapter radi, miš prestane raditi na 2 sekunde i onda se opet spoji. Tako da očekujem da ovo bude onda OK rješenje dokle god je adapter u istom portu. Meni OK workaround, čak možda i nešto što mogu dodati u skriptu koju pokrene na loginu. Bolje spriječiti nego liječiti.

They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this f*cking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich c*cksuckers who don’t give a f*ck about them. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.

Rekao bi ja da mkey nije nikada probao Win ME; e to je bio bogovski OS.
Tamo je svaka promijena trazila reinstall OS jer bi ga skrsilo.
IMHO najgori (tj najnestabilniji) OS koji sam ikada imao prilike koristiti….
Ček ček, ti si uspio zbutati WinME bez plavog ekrana?
