Nekad veliki Interplay ovih je dana upogonio nove web stranice sukladno namjeri da ponovo prostanu vrhunski proizvođači igara. Na istima s ističu planovi za četvrti nastavak Earthworm Jima, i ono što je nama zanimljivije, MMO-a kojeg nazivaju Project V13.

Mediji su navodno odmah shvatili kako je riječ o Fallout MMO-u budući da prava na franšizu prodana Bethesdi nisu uključivala mogući MMORPG kojeg je Interplay zadržao u svom vlasništvu. Dodatne naznake da je uistinu riječ o Fallout MMO-u potaknulo je izvješće kako se Chris Taylor pridružio timu koji će raditi na Projectu V13, a isti je okarakteriziran kao "osoba koja je radila na razvoju originalnog Fallouta".


Baš me zanima kako će izgledati Descent 4 i MDK 3! (za MDK 3 nisam našao nikakve stranice)

It was based in Orange County, California, USA. The division was formed during 1996, adopting the name "Black Isle Studios" during 1998. The idea for the division's name came from the Black Isle in Scotland - founder Feargus Urquhart's native country. Black Isle Studios is most famous for working on the Fallout and Baldur's Gate series of computer role-playing games, though it only published the Baldur's Gate series.

In 1998, several key members responsible for the division's first title, Fallout, left Interplay to form Troika Games after they "were unable to come to an agreement with Interplay as to how [their] next team should be structured". On December 8, 2003, in the midst of serious financial difficulties, Interplay laid off the entire Black Isle Studios staff.

In 1997, Interplay developed and released Fallout, a successful and critically-acclaimed role-playing game set in a retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic setting. Black Isle Studios, an in house developer, followed with the sequel, Fallout 2. The most successful subsequent Interplay franchise was probably Baldur's Gate, a Dungeons & Dragons game that was developed by Bioware and spawned a successful sequel and several expansion packs.

Bas i nije u potpunosti istina, bethsoft ima prava na sve, od vault boya, nuka cole preko mr. handya do ... ma sve intelektualne i ine bastine interplaya sto je ikako povezana s falloutom. No ima catch, interplay moze napraviti jos jedan naslov pod uvjetima opisanima ovdje http://www.neoseeker.com/news/8883-c...allout-mmorpg/ tek toliko da se ne poveselite da ce interplay nastaviti s falloutom.

Interplay se ponovo našao u nezavidnoj situaciji jer mu Bethesda prijeti oduzimanjem prava za izradu Fallout MMO-a. Nakon što je Interplay prodao sva prava na Fallout Bethesdi, uspio je zadržati prava na Fallout MMO, uz uvjet da do travnja ove godine osiguraju financijska sredstva i započnu s razvojem.

Iako je Bethesda početkom mjeseca uputila upozorenje da rok ističe, par dana prije zadnjeg datuma Interplay je uspio udružiti snage s bugarskim razvojnim timom Masthead Studios koji će raditi na projektu V13 što je radno ime za Fallout MMO. Pitanje je hoće li ovaj potez biti dovoljan Bethesdi da Interplayu omogući produljenje ugovora ili će čitava stvar završiti na sudu.

"Under the terms of the settlement, the license granted to Interplay to develop the Fallout MMO is null and void, and all rights granted to Interplay to develop a Fallout MMO revert back to Bethesda, effective immediately," announced the winning company. "Interplay has no ongoing right to use the Fallout brand or any Fallout intellectual property for any game development. ZeniMax will pay Interplay $2 million as consideration in the settlement, each party will bear its own costs of the litigation, and Bethesda will continue to own all Fallout intellectual property rights."


Interplay has permission to continue selling Fallout Tactics, Fallout and Fallout 2 until December 31, 2013, after which time Bethesda gets sole control over all games.
