NVIDIA GeForce 266.58 WHQL Driver Suite Released

NVIDIA released its latest version of GeForce software suite, the unified package that installs GeForce drivers, PhysX system software, 3D Vision software, HDMI audio driver, and related system software. Version 266.58 released by NVIDIA is WHQL-signed and available for all current versions of Windows. All GeForce GPUs from 6-series onward, and ION series, are supported. Version 266.58 WHQL installs PhysX system software v9.10.0514 and HDMI audio driver version 1.1.13.1. In terms of performance improvements, 266.58 WHQL introduced a number of game-spcific performance improvements for GeForce 400 and GeForce 500 series GPUs. SLI profiles were added and improved for several games.

Performance
Increases performance for GeForce 400 Series and 500 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. the latest Release 260 drivers. The following are examples of some of the most significant improvements measured on Windows 7. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration:

GeForce GTX 580:

• Up to 7% in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (1920x1200 4xAA/16xAF)
• Up to 12% in Battleforge (SLI 1920x1200 4xAA/16xAF Very High)
• Up to 11% in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (SLI 1920x1200 4xAA/16xAF)

Visual Quality

• Adds ambient occlusion support for one of the most popular games of the year: Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. Ambient occlusion improves the quality of lighting, shadows, and depth perception in many parts of the game.

Problemi sa losim performansama u BF2 (osobito boljka Fermi kartica) ce biti rijeseni tek sa 3xx driverima. Zapravo Fermi ima problema sa sporijim procesorima u 80% igara na trzistu, samo sto je u BF2 jako izrazeno.

Da ali zato sa brzim procesorom ubija. Ja sam jucer bas testiral BF2 sa solo 470 na 840mhz, 266.68, 2600k na 4.7 u 1920xs1080 16xQ i dobio prebrutalne performanse.

Kad sam kupil 470 na ovakvim postavkama igra je isla sa 40, mozda 50fps a sada ide preko 70.

Meni na 1680x1050 na GTX 460 nema više onog primjetnog pada FPS u BFBC2 kada je u tijeku mortar attack (minobacački napad) u blizini. Prije se znalo dosta usporiti kada bi oko mene sve eksplodiralo. Sada i dalje ide glatko i igrivo...

Ja sam primjetio poboljšanje u svim igrama. Još ću morati provjeriti 3dMark11.

Driver Sweeper ili Driver Cleaner si instaliraj a drivere briši u safe modeu.

Ja sam stavio zadnje drivere 266.58whql sa nVidie stranice, sve radilo ok do danas. Ne znam zbog čega, nisam ništa dirao po driverima i Win-u.Diže mi taktove u full 3D na video fajlovima, fotografijama, You Tubu, kad otvaram Nvcontrol panel i onda nakon nekih 20-30 sekundi spusti taktove u 2D, osim na You Tube tu spusti na Low 3D.
Instalirao sam drivere na čisti Win7 Ultimate 64bit.

Nisam promijenio u moj komp da imam 580GTX, sad sam primijetio da kad mi se uključuje Screen Saver isto diže taktove u 3D Low.
Kaj je to normalno, mi se neče nešto desiti grafički.

Ja na to ne obraćam puno pažnje. Jedino me počne nervirati kada se vent zavrti previše i počne da ruči iz kućišta. A to na kojoj mi frekvenciji radi GPU dok nešto gledam mi ništa ne znači. To je do drivera i toga kako šta "raspoznaju" (o čemu se radi) i onda na osnovu toga setuju frekvencije.

Može li se to u driverima kako složiti da ne diže taktove?
Mene to smeta, pa diže clock na dosta stvari i onda se i vent. se počinje brže okretati.
