A znaci zapravo te ProtonVPN pita svaki put ne Seahorse. Krivo sam te skuzil. Onda app ne upisuje podatke u bazu kak spada ili uopce ne. Bug ili je security feature

Ne znam što je ali Brave isto pita i ostavim prazna polja i više ne pita, seahorse zapamti iz prve.

Pa da te ne pita app za lozinku a da opet nije sve to u nekom tekst fajlu spremljeno Seahorse sprema lozinke za sve aplikacije na siguran nacin kao i KDE Wallett no cini se da ProtonVPN aplikacija nema pojma da treba tamo zapisat podatke (ili je mozda dev odlucio da korisnici moraju uvijek svejedno upisat login podatke). Brave (Chrome) zapisuje svoje podatke u Seahorse. E sad - ako ne koristis autologin Seahorse se automatski otljuca kod logina. Ako koristis autologin onda moras jednom ukucat lozinku za Seahorse (login lozinka) kad aplikacija zeli pristup bazi lozinki. Ako ne zelis da te u tom scenariju pita moras maknut lozinku iz Seahorse-a kao sto sam gore opisao.

VNC je tigervncserver, a za pristup se koristi s windowsa TightVNC Viewer

Gnome2/Mate feature? Znam da sam nekad davno na Gnome 2 imao slicne probleme. A koji app su te ikone? GTK ili QT aplikacije?

Mislim da nije rijesenje za kolegu koristenje novog jos manje suportanog i testiranog "hey look it's shiny!!!" sucelja. Testiranje drugih sucelja nije losa ideja al onda bi radije preporucio nesto bez ikakvog blinga (LXQT/XFCE mozda). Prvo jos neznamo kakve su to aplikacije kao drugo cemu uopce GUI na Linuxu? Zasto ne servis za svaki taj VNC Session pa se korisnici spajaju direktno na dedicirani VNC Session a ne skakat duplo ako nije protrebno.

Nisam stigao prije do kompa, danas je bio vanjski dan.

Anydesk samo služi ako se trebam od kuće spojiti. Inače ničemu ne služi u većini slučajeva.

Last Tuesday, loads of Linux users -- many running packages released as early as this year -- started reporting their devices were failing to boot. Instead, they received a cryptic error message that included the phrase: "Something has gone seriously wrong." The cause: an update Microsoft issued as part of its monthly patch release. It was intended to close a 2-year-old vulnerability in GRUB, an open source boot loader used to start up many Linux devices. The vulnerability, with a severity rating of 8.6 out of 10, made it possible for hackers to bypass secure boot, the industry standard for ensuring that devices running Windows or other operating systems don't load malicious firmware or software during the bootup process. CVE-2022-2601 was discovered in 2022, but for unclear reasons, Microsoft patched it only last Tuesday. [...]

With Microsoft maintaining radio silence, those affected by the glitch have been forced to find their own remedies. One option is to access their EFI panel and turn off secure boot. Depending on the security needs of the user, that option may not be acceptable. A better short-term option is to delete the SBAT Microsoft pushed out last Tuesday. This means users will still receive some of the benefits of Secure Boot even if they remain vulnerable to attacks that exploit CVE-2022-2601. The steps for this remedy are outlined here (thanks to manutheeng for the reference).

Ja mogu.
Imam dual boot s win10, ažurirao se dok su djeca igrala roblox i puf, ode sve. Ali brzo je netko izbacio kako zaobići.

Ja sam izgubio živce pokušavajući namjestiti EFI Secure Boot za dual-boot Windows 11 i Arch (za koji treba izraditi custom ISO - ma daj, neda mi se sa tim za*ebavat ).

Imam osjećaj da je Secure Boot i TPM primarno prilagođen Microsoftu i to radi super na Windowsima, a ako želiš neku egzotiku, tough luck. Zvuči mi ko Apple.

Citas mi misli. Opensuse recimo relativno dobro s tim radi. Osim kad skrse Tumbleweed pa lupe starije shim pakete od onog u Leap verziji . Sa Fedorom takoder dosad nisam imao problema.

Sva sreca pa obojica lupetate. Secure boot je prisutan na enterprise mreznoj opremi vec barem 5-6 godina a gore je... tko bi rekao... iskljucivo Linux. Da ne nabrajam dalje. A to sto ta prica ne radi s Archevima i drugim opskurnim distribucijama je jednostavna zivotna cinjenica koja prave Arch korisnike ionako ne uznemirava, s obzirom da je svaki uspjesan login de facto premija!

Ma jok. Sve je to teorija zavjere. Bubba svaka cast svemu al ak je tak onda mi objasni zakaj Linux distre na kojima UEFI Secure Boot ne radi probleme (Fedora, OpenSuse, Mint...pa cak i Gentoo na primjer) koriste shim firmware- potpisanim od strane Microsofta? Ubuntu koristi kolko znam dual-shim signaturu Canonicala i Microsofta. Tko potpisuje shim firmware na gore spomenutoj mreznoj opremi? Zasto onda nemamo vecu raznolikost po tom pitanju? Ne vjerujem da je lijenost developera razlog tome. Sjeti se koliki je to u pocetku bio "pain in the ass" za sve Linux distre do razine da neka racunala nisu dopustala boot icega osim MS bootloadera. Kako onda nebi dobili pomisao da MS ima mokri san biti novi Apple? I sjeti se stucavica pokrenutih od strane samog Microsofta sa "napretkom" spomenute tehnologije...

I da svjestan sam da (recimo) Debian moze potpisivat vlastite pakete ali i dalje mu je potreban Microsoft certifikat.

Imam osjećaj da je Secure Boot i TPM primarno prilagođen Microsoftu i to radi super na Windowsima, a ako želiš neku egzotiku, tough luck.

Pricamo li o bootanju razlicitih OS-eva i slicnom opskurnom i vjerojatno nepodrzanom drkanju ili o tome da je "Secure Boot i TPM primarno prilagodjen Microsoftu", sto... jednostavno nije? Jer ja sam doslovce iskljucivo na to reagirao.

Pustimo sad TPM po strani trenutno i ajmo se koncentrirat na Secure Boot, sto se prihvaca kao "sigurna signatura" za bootanje Linux OS-a na UEFI Hardweru sa ukljucenom Secure Boot opcijom.

A Billy Boy je svetac?

Neznam jesi li svjestan da sam teoriju zavjere spomenuo u sarkasticnom smislu i zelim voditi sa Bubbom jedan od onih razgovora koji su tako rijetki na ovom forumu zbog ovakvih izljeva (iskreno dosad sam mislio da nisi jedan od onih koji bi ovakav post napisali)...a drugo...odkad je PC platforma u vlasnistvu MS pa je MS taj koji definira standarde iako to znacilo da ubije konkurenciju sto na kraju znamo kako moze zavrsiti? Zasto bi itko trebao MS placati ikakve licence da vrti svoj softwer na PC hardweru? I ako su vec isto pokusavali na druge nacine (dakle nikakve teorije zavjere vec antikompetitivne stvari radi kojima su dobili po prstima vise puta) tko kaze da nece pokusati opet? Nije problem kad korporacije zele zaraditi lovu, to je normalno s obzirom na svijet u kojem zivimo. Kad korporacije dobiju momentum i pokusaju izgurati konkurenciju da bi postale monopol - e tu stvari pocnu smrditi. Mene ne zanima sto je baba rekla nego tehnicke izvedbe i rijesenja te zasto su stvari trenutno takve kakve jesu.
