More and more rumors surface that a GeForce GTX 570 graphics card in December. Additionally, the site also notes the Radeon HD 6950 and 6970 are now scheduled for December 13th.

A slightly watered-down version of the GF110, or rather chips that do not meet the GeForce GTX 580 spec, will be placed on the upcoming GeForce GTX 570. The GF110 chip on the GeForce GTX 570 will have one streaming multiprocessor disabled, bringing the total CUDA core count to 480 - the same as the outgoing GeForce GTX 480. Performance is said to be around the GTX 480's level, but with a TDP quite similar to the GTX 470. Expect 1280MB memory on the new card.

Rumored frequencies are set at 690 Mhz on the core, 1380 Mhz on the shaders and 3800 MHz on the gDDR5 memory.

On a day when a lot of other geopolitical things are being leaked, our friends from Sweden found the specifications sheet of NVIDIA's new upcoming high-end graphics accelerator, the GeForce GTX 570. The GTX 570 will be a deputy to the company's recently-release GeForce GTX 580, it is based on the GF110 graphics processor, with 480 CUDA cores enabled, and a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface holding 1280 MB of memory. At this point it looks like a cross between the GTX 480 and the GTX 470, but the equations take a turn when clock speeds step in: 732 MHz core, 1464 MHz CUDA cores, and 950 MHz (3800 MHz effective) memory, churning out 152 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Power consumption is rated at 225W. NVIDIA's upcoming accelerator is slated for release on 7th December, just five days ahead of AMD's Radeon HD 6900 series launch.

Ne baš, jer bude kartica imala istu/sličnu cijenu od 3.000 kn ko i GTX 480, a u isto vrijeme bude kao prednost imala samo malo manju potrošnju i zagrijavanje. Performansama bude GTX 480 i dalje bolja kartica, ali je EOL GF100 modela taj koji bude prevagnul u korist GTX 570. Makar ne sumnjam da bude sa našlo bisera koji budu "staru" GTX 480 išli mijenjati za "novu" GTX 570.

Šalu na stranu, iskreno, ne podnosim 470-icu koliko to cudo urla dok vrti metro...a 480 ne želim ni čuti...

Starting next week nVidia will launch its second performance graphics card this fall with the GeForce GTX 570. The card builds on the same GPU as big brother GeForce GTX 580 - GF110 - but the cards will be clearly separated. nVidia has given partners free hands to develop the card as they please. We have already seen the complete specifications for nVidia's new graphics card, but it turns out that there may be some significant differences between manufacturers and models. The reason is simple, nVidia has instead of sending out a complete reference card just sent the new GF110 GPUs that will be used for GeForce GTX 570. The rest - I.e. circuits board, clock frequencies and coolers - is up to each partner. GeForce GTX 570 will not have the regular reference design, which means the previously leaked specifications may be a bit off, at least considering clock frequencies and power consumption.

Overall this feels like a good thing since it means the consumers will have more to pick from and the companies can come up with its own efficient solutions that nVidia doesn't have time to come up with for the partners. The specifications that will last is of course the number of CUDA cores and memory bus, since these are tied to the GPU, but other than that partners have relatively large freedom to whatever they please to tailor their cards to their liking. This means that prices of GeForce GTX 570 may vary more than usual at launch, which all comes down to what solutions the companies choose. GeForce GTX 570 will be in stores at launch, but the quantities are harder to predict. Most likely we're dealing with a short supply in the beginning, which would not surprise since GeForce GTX 580 is still a rare sight. nVidia hopes to fill some stockings this Christmas with the new performance card. On the 7th of December we will reveal more about the card and see if it continues the positive trend set by big brother GeForce GTX 580.

British retailer YoYo Tech, which claims to be "famously first for Fermi", started giving out the pricing of NVIDIA's upcoming enthusiast graphics card, the GeForce GTX 570. The card, according to this retailer, is priced at £299 (GBP), including 17.5% VAT, that's £246.6 excluding it. Direct conversion to USD would yield $384. Based on this, we can garner a guess that the US pricing could be somewhere between US $350 and $400. The GeForce GTX 570 is NVIDIA's upcoming graphics card based on the 40 nm GF110 GPU, it features 480 CUDA cores, and 1280 MB of GDDR5 memory over a 320-bit wide memory interface.
