Otključavanje jezgri je izgleda postala normalna stvar, pa se ne naglašava previše kao prije. Kod Gigabajta je za dvije najbolje AM3+ ploče naveden "Auto Unlock Support".

Mislim da to većina ploča danas ima riješeno ovako ili onako. Za BD se još nezna kako će to funkcionirati .

Ocekivah da ce i dalje boldati otkljucavanje jezgri na svakoj novoj kutiji - to me je zapravo najvise zbunilo. I dalje mi se cini osobitost koju nije naodmet vizualno podebljati. Kupac koji sece u nekom velikom ducanu i cita kutije maticnih... atraktivno je i dalje - posebno prvom kupcu.

Kilavi li se AMD 900-tka izvan spomenutih datuma? Ili jos unutar najava? Bilo bi lijepo vidjeti vec koju plocu.

AMD's upcoming Llano line of accelerated processing units (APUs), to compete with Intel's Sandy Bridge LGA-1155 processors, is said to embed what AMD will refer to as the Radeon HD 6550 graphics core. Unlike Sandy Bridge where a processor die is simply fused with a integrated graphics northbridge onto a single die, Llano will see the GPU part of the silicon integrated with the rest of the APU in many other levels, including assisting the x86 cores with serial processing loads. Llano's embedded GPU carries the AMD Radeon SKU of HD 6550. It will feature on AMD's Fusion A8-3550 and A8-3550P APUs, is DirectX 11 compliant, has 400 stream processors, and a core clock speed of 594 MHz. It uses memory shared from the main memory, but in all likelihood, AMD might work on SidePort-based memory support. Further, the Radeon HD 6550 can work in tandem with discrete AMD Radeon HD 6570 and HD 6670 "Turks" based graphics cards in the same way as AMD's IGPs have been known to work with entry-level Radeon GPUs using Hybrid CrossFireX. When the HD 6550 iGPU is working in tandem with HD 6670 or HD 6570, the graphics hardware will be recognized as "Radeon HD 6690".

Pa, strpi se još ovih misec dana. AMD je službeno potvrdio da 1.-og na azijskom Computex 2011. prvi na scenu stupa LIano i 9xx chipset, a onda 7.-og u LA na scenu stupa FX BD i nove AM3+ ploče.

Ako pricekas mozes biti samo u duplom dobitku, ili ce novi bull biti bolji i brzi ili nece ali ce srusiti cijene sandya, barem za malo.
Mjesec dana zbilja nije puno, pogotovo ako planiras dati par kila kn za novi stroj kojic es koristii tko zna koliko dugo!

Asus M5A99X EVO AM3+ ploča

Here is the first picture of the M5A99X EVO, an upcoming socket AM3+ motherboard by ASUS based on the AMD 990X + SB950 chipset designed AMD's FX-Series "Zambezi" 8-core, 6-core, and 4-core procesors. The AMD 990X is designed for discrete graphics with up to two graphics cards in CrossFireX. It is likely that the final iteration has NVIDIA SLI support out of the box. The AM3+ Black socket is powered by 8-phase Digi+ VRM, cooled by a large heatsink that sits next to the northbridge heatsink. ASUS came up with a new heatsink design theme. While the P8P67 series uses heatsinks with curvy/wavy fins, the M5A series uses sharp edges.

The AMD 990X northbridge gives out 16 PCI-Express 2.1 lanes split between two x16 slots. When both slots are populated, the graphics cards run on x8 bandwidth. The third black x16 slot is wired to the SB950 southbridge, and is likely x4. Other slots include two PCI-Express x1 and a PCI. Storage connectivity includes six SATA 6 Gb/s ports from the SB950 southbridge that support RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, 10 modes; a third-party controller drives two additional SATA 6 Gb/s internal ports. We don't know if there's another such controller handling eSATA. Other connectivity features include at least two USB 3.0 controllers made by ASMedia (ASUS subsidiary), two internal USB 3.0 ports by header (for front-panel or bracket), and probably two more ports on the rear panel. There's Realtek-made 8-channel HD audio, a gigabit Ethernet connection, and VIA-made FireWire controller.

AMD FX-Series processors natively support DDR3-1866 MHz memory standard, there are four DDR3 memory slots wired to the socket, support dual-channel memory. The board supports various overclocking and energy-efficiency features, including EPU (energy processing unit), and TPU (TurboV processing unit). With this generation of chipset, the AMD platform is transitioning to UEFI as the system firmware standard. ASUS will give this board a mouse-driven graphical user interface for its UEFI setup program. The immediate benefit of UEFI is the ability to boot from volumes larger than 2.2 TB in size.

The ASUS M5A99X EVO is likely to be launched in mid-June.

pa vjerojatno bi i ovaj prvi FX-4110 trebao biti bolji jer se radi o seriji i arhitekturi. ali opet je sve na nagađnjima. nema još puno do predstavljanja i prvih rezultata pa ćemo vidjeti. mislim da bi bilo blesavo da ima iste ili slabije performanse od starog procesora, ali mene recimo više zanima kakav će biti odnos snaga sa trenutnom ponudom Intelovih SB procesora. nekako mi se čini da bi se FX-4110 i 6110 trebali tuči sa i5-2600K dok bi 8110 i 8130P trebali konkurirati, ili čak preteči, i7-2600K. recimo da tih 8 stvarnih jezgri treba potući HT. ali i cijena će tu igrati ulogu.

hmh. nešto nisam baš impresioniran niti pločom niti 990X chipsetom. znam da treba pričekati da se ploča pojavi na tržištu pa da vidimo pune specifikacije ali ovako na prvi pogled ne mogu reći da je neki veliki napredak u odnosu na 8xx seriju, osim što podržava BD. može biti i zato što sam isti dan išao baciti pogled na Asrock Z68 Extreme iz Intelovog tabora koja je, na mene barem, ostavila dojam nešto tehnološki modernije i fičurima bogatije ploče.

Moje jedino ocekivanje je dobar "bang for buck" i nista drugo. Ako uspiju dosegnut performanse LYnfielda ili sl., "clock per clock" sa svom silom jezgri, bit ce to jako konkurentni procevi. Sam broj jezgri jos uvijek nije garancija performansi a kako ce se "hardwerski HT" ( cini mi se ko dobar naziv za takav nacin slaganja) snaci u svemu je za mene najveci ?. Pogotovo u situacijama gdje broj jezgri nije presudan faktor a toga ima jos uvijek podosta.

Leaked slides hint on AMD Bulldozer and Llano performance

Tech Report writes leaked slides from Donim Haber give a rough indication of the performance of AMD's upcoming Llano and Bulldozer processors. The most interesting slide of the bunch illustrates the relative performance of a number of AMD's upcoming APUs versus three different Sandy Bridge CPUs. Results are provided for 3DMark and PCMark Vantage, and things look pretty grim on the CPU front. None of the Llano-based A-Series APUs come close to matching the PCMark score of even the Core i3-2100. The lone Bulldozer example, an eight-core model, barely beats the Core i7-2600K. Things look much better for AMD if you focus on the 3DMark scores, which show the A-Series APUs trouncing Sandy Bridge's integrated GPU. That matches yesterday's assertion that Llano's integrated graphics component will offer three times the performance of Intel's HD Graphics.

TI SSovi mi nista ne znace. Rezultati u Vantageau sa integrusama mi nisu bitni u zivotu. Iz aviona je vidljivo da imaju puno jacu integrusu i da po tom pitanju sigruno jedu Intel za dorucak ali mene to ne interesira jer imam gtx 580. Dobar deal bi bio da ta integrusa ima dovoljno snage da prozvace neke razumne rezolucije i igre i nekome bi to sigurno bila savrsena kombinacija, iganje do 1680x1050 sa medium detaljima i u tom stilu.
