...ili zašto Stacker jednostavno više nije dovoljno dobar Dakle u početku bijaše Stacker.



I Stacker bijaše dobar i moćan i iako se dobro uklapao u dnevnoj sobi kraj TV-a to definitivno nije bilo to i potraga za adekvatim kučištem koje bi udomilo sve komponente koje su bile u Stackeru je počela.

Nakon par dana frustracija izbor je već bio pao na Silverstone LC17c prvenstveno zato što je to jedino desktop ATX kučište vrijedno spomena koje se može nabavit u nas dok o kučištima poput Origenae ili Ahahix možemo samo sanjati... ali onda sam sasvim slučajno na jednoj njemačkoj stranici koja ima dostavu za Hrvatsku naletio na Ahanix kučišta i uskoro je Ahanix D4 bio naručen, plaćen i za 5 dana dostavljen.

Inače cijena kučišta je ~160 EUR s tim da su Njemci odbili 16% a naši dodali 22% (carine na PC dijelove nema) tako da me uz razne takse i poštarinu sve skupa izašlo oko 1400 Kn

Tijelo je od 1,5mm aluminijskog lima a sama prednja maska je napravljena od 8mm (!) debelog brušenog crnog aluminija i sve skupa izgleda kao vrhunska audio komponenta. Iako je kučište prostrano (za jedno HTPC kučište) i podržava full ATX specifikaciju odmah je bilo jasno da će trebati napraviti neke izmjene da bi overclockirani SLI sistem stabilno funkcionirao.

about sports or politics or rhetoric.
Such things are of no consequence to him.
What matters is the release date of the next Lord of the Rings movie!

Prva izmjena je bila na kavezu za diskove koji originalno podržava samo dva diska a njegov smještaj onemogučava instalaciju dugih grafičkih kartica. Pravac Bricostore i za 40 Kn od komada bakrenog lima savijen je novi kavez u koji su stala sva četiri diska i koji je montiran poprečno tako da ne smeta karticama. Do njega je montiran 120mm TT Smart Led ventilator koji će biti zadužen za usis zraka u kučište. Namjerno sam koristio taj vent jer smanjen na 7V je doslovno nečujan (naravno uz minimalni protok zraka) ali se može pojačati na 2800 rpm i tako po potrebi momentalno stvoriti propuh.

Druga izmjena je promjena orijentacije napajanja koje je originalno okrenuto unutar kučišta tako da izvlači vruči zrak van ali na taj način usput dodatno opterečuje i grije samo napajanje. Izbušene su nove rupe i napanje je okrenuto tako da je sad izolirano od ostatka sistema i direktno vuče hladni zrak izvana tako da ostaje hladno (i nečujno) i pri največem opterečenju.

Što nas dovodi do zadnje izmjene, kako kučište originalno nema nikakve otvore za usis zraka (osim proreza na prednjoj maski) trebalo je napraviti dva nova otvora. Jedan naprijed lijevo za 120mm usis i jedan nazad desno za usis napajanja.

Vrijeme je za instalaciju komponenti:

Svi ventilatori (Freezer64pro, 1x 120mm naprijed, 2x NVsilencer5, 2x 60mm pozadi) su spojeni na Aerogate1 i smanjeni na min (7V). Napajanje je odvojeno od sistema, diskove hladi 120mm usis koji usput ubacuje hladni zrak ispod kaveza i tako dodaje hladni zrak na chipset a silenceri ispuhuju vruč zrak sa chipseta i grafičkih direktno vani i tako dodatno smanjuju temperaturu unutar kučišta. Freezer64pro hladi procesor uz dodatnu pomoć dva 60mm venta tako da su temperature u idleu sa svim ventovima smanjenim na min za stupanj dva veće nego u Stackeru uz napomenu da je cool'n'quiet isključen i da je proc overclockiran (!) na @2600

Jedina buka koju komp proizvodi u idleu je zujanje diskova koje se kad je komp u vitrini uopće ne čuje.

Kučište ima ugrađen VFD ekran sa 2x16 znakova koji je spojen preko paralelnog porta vanjskim kabelom. Da bi proradio potrebno je instalirati driver koji dolazi na CDu i LCD Smartie program koji služi za kontroliranje displaya. Program je opensource, ima gomilu plugina i nakon malo privikavanja omogučuje prikaz sata, datuma, podataka o diskovima, procu, memoriji, pjesme koja svira, emaila, rss feedova, volume... ima plugine za nero, winamp, sppedfan, everest, omogučava aktiviranje određenih ekrana na osnovu uvjeta....itd. Instalacija protiče bez problema i nakon određenog vremena privikavanja s njim se u potpunosti može kontrolirati display.

Pošto je ovo HTPC dvoumio sam se dali instalirati MCE ali pošto to zahtjeva reinstalaciju windowsa ta opcija je otpala tako da se izbor sveo na Media Portal ili Meedio. Na kraju je pobijedio Meedio prvenstveno zbog mogučnosti izvođenja programa na TV-u tako da monitor ostaje slobodan. Osim toga program ima gomilu plugina, ugrađene video i audio codece ali dozvoljava i korištenje instaliranih sistemskih codeca (xvid,divx,ffdshow...) i vanjskih programa i decodera (powerDVD, winDVD, VLC, mplayerc, foobar, winamp...) za reprodukciju videa i audia. Troši minimalno resursa (30-60 Mb uz učitanu bazu od 100ak filmova i serija i ~6000 mp3ca) tako da mi je uvijek pokrenut na TV-u, kontroliram ga daljinskim preko Girdera, konfiguracija je prilično intiuitivna i uz relativno malo truda može se prilagoditi svojim potrebama...
Osobno nemam TV karticu tako da ne znam kako je tu pokriven ali sve ostalo je 5+
...

Crn, kao i uvijek, fenomenalno. Kada bi svi threadovi bili kao tvoji

Jako lijepo kučište, a i svaka čast na onom držaču diskova kaj si napravil. Ali bome, rezati kučište od 1400kn
Stvarno, najradije bi stavio ovo kao sticky, da ekipa vidi da jedan HTCP može biti itekako snažan - da može služiti kao i igrača platforma.

P.S. Probao sam ovaj Meedio, nažalost, ne podržava moju Experticu (TV Tuner)
Nisam previše baš gledao kako dela, poslušao sam par pjesama i par slikica i to je to. Čisto fini program - fala kaj si ukazao na njega

Hmmmm, http://www.meedio.com/ koliko vidim nema ga vise. A taman sam ga ponukan tvojim opisom htio probati.
Na svu srecu MP se i dalje razvija i za par dana bi trebao izaci novi TV engine 3.0. MP je pak sam po sebi zahtjevniji a cini se da ce biti jos vise.

Crn, svaka ti cast...odlicno si to izveo, pogotovo izrezao kuciste, izgleda kao tvornicki

Na pocetku sam mislio da slazes neki HTPC od novih kompnenti (aka nekakav sempron i sl), a kad sam vidio da hoces ubaciti SLI unutra i sve sto uz njega ide

Jos jednom svaka cast na trudu i izvedbi! Skidam kapu! : goood :


Nego, koristis li monitor ili sve radis preko TV-a?

Crn svaka ti dala komponente za HTPC Odličan tekst i odličan HTPC. A šta će bit sa Stackerom? I meni se više sviđa Meedio od MediaPortala, MediaPortal mi je još nekako sirov, možda bude bolji.

Meedio je nažalost kupio Yahoo i sad razvijaju tu novu aplikaciju koja je okljaštrena verzija meedia. Na sreću meedio forum je još aktivan i tamo se može naći novih plugina i tema ali i sam program ima ugrađenu opciju downloada plugina i tema...
