Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. plans to spend $100 billion over the next three years to expand its chip fabrication capacity, a staggering financial commitment to address booming demand for new technologies. TSMC, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced semiconductors, already planned a record capital expenditure of as much as $28 billion this year, but recent trends and developments have pushed for even more capacity. TSMC expects to invest USD$100b over the next three years to increase capacity to support the manufacturing and R&D of advanced semiconductor technologies.

... Intel počinje shvaćati da 20 milijardi uopće nije puno i impresivno, te da drugi imaju još više novaca za potrošiti na konkretna rješenja bez potrebe za pompoznim najavama i prijelomnim člancima.

I američka vlada možda shvati da njihovih 28 milijardi neće osigurati nikakvu tehnološku SAD-a...

Sličnu situaciju su imali prije više od 15 godina ...

... umjesto ovog, mogli su napraviti Comet Lake refresh, s time da ostave orginalni Core i9 10C/20T model, samo s 11900K imenom, dok za Core i5 i i7 slože ove "nove" jezgre koje ima Rocket Lake i to je to. Nitko se ne bi bunil.

Ovako hoćeš-nećeš moraš pregledati točnu specifikaciju procesora na Intelovoj stranici na kojoj se vrti reklama na kojoj piše da je u pitanju brand-new-and-the-best-of-the-best technology (ono, svira, pjeva i pleše i samo kaj ti ne popljuga...) kako bi te odvratili da uopće gledaš AMD procesore.

Nažalost, ništa ih ne spašava u ovoj situaciji, čak ni AVX-512 implementacija zajedno sa svom silom popratne skalamerije.

I'm not completely sure what to make of Rocket-Lake. It is a departure from the usual Core-i processors in that it has newer features found on recent Intel Xeon processors. Rocket Lake looks more like Core-X. It has AVX512 and DL-boost. The Intel Core i9 11900KF is considerably different architecture than previous Core series processors and the first Core desktop processor to include AVX512. However, where I would have thought that AVX512 would have had a large impact (HPL) it performed poorly compared to Xeon and Core-X family of processors. The i9-11900KF is certainly a good processor but given the closeness of the price to the AMD Ryzen 12-core 5900X. I would expect the 50% additional cores of 5900X to mostly outperform it.

Čudno mi je to sto nova serija nema izbor od 10 jezgri. Jel se isplati 11700 i 11900 u odnosu na AMD-ov izbror?

Intel could easily make a 20+ core processor with these Cypress Cove cores, however the die size would be too large to be economical, and perhaps the power consumption when all the cores are loaded would necessitate a severe reduction in frequency to keep the power under control. To that end, Intel finalised its design on eight cores. For die sizes, even with enabling only eight cores, the new Rocket Lake design is substantially bigger than the 10-core variant on Comet Lake. So it's worth noting that Intel's new 8 core Rocket Lake processor is actually bigger than the 10 core Broadwell-E processor from 2016. One major difference between those two however is AVX-512, which does have a slight die-size increase. Nonetheless, Intel is approaching its HEDT platform die size with Rocket Lake, but can't sell them for as much as the HEDT has historically sold for.

... obzirom da 8C/16T Rocket Lake all-core 5.0GHz AVX-512 OC Turbo BUG forum ediŠon modeli potrošnjom nadilaze 64C/128T EPYC i Threadripper modele, bilo što veće od osmerojezgrenih čipova, cijelu situaciju dodatno podiže u još veće apsurde.

Ovako hoćeš-nećeš moraš pregledati točnu specifikaciju procesora na Intelovoj stranici na kojoj se vrti reklama na kojoj piše da je u pitanju brand-new-and-the-best-of-the-best technology (ono, svira, pjeva i pleše i samo kaj ti ne popljuga...) kako bi te odvratili da uopće gledaš AMD procesore.

SK Hynix to build $106 Billion Fab Cluster: 800,000 Wafer starts a month

South Korea authorities this week gave SK Hynix a green light to build a new, 120 trillion won ($106.35 billion) fab complex. The fab cluster will be primarily used to build DRAM for PCs, mobile devices, and servers, using process technologies that rely on extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV). The first fab in the complex will go online in 2025. The four fabs will have a planned capacity of around 800,000 wafer starts per month (WSPM), which will make the site one of the world's biggest semiconductor production hubs. Keeping in mind that we are dealing with EUV fabs, it is not surprising that a huge 200,000-WSPM plant with EUV tools will cost SK Hynix north of $25 billion. The new fabs will be used to make various types of DRAM using SK Hynix's upcoming production technologies that will use extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. And with a start date still years away, we're likely looking at a fab that will be used to manufacture DDR5, LPDDR5X, and other future types of DRAM.

1112 na mall f verzija,nego ja bi ipak rađe ne f verzije zbog trenutnog stanja s cjenama grafičkih,da bar sliku imamo ako postojeća grafička prestane radit,ja bi ipak i5 10600k,hmhm beskorisno bačeno 700 kuna,4,3 kod 10400 ili 5ghz kod i5 10600k sitna razlika,tj neosjetljiva u performansama.

ništa se ne kupuje jer se nema grafička za kupit po normalnoj cjeni,čeka se alder lake/zen 4+ grafička po normalnoj cjeni ako ih bude do kraja 2021.

Ryzen 5 4650G 6C/12T je sporiji od i5 10600k kad se upari grafička,ali demolira intel sa svojom integrušom za bar 2x.

Da,sad je itegrirana grafika must have. Tu se onda kao logičan izbor čini i5 11500, zbog nešto sitno jače integrirke u odnosu na i5 11400. Problem je sto je taj cpu malo preskup trenutno
