Microsoft is reshaping Windows around AI, introducing capabilities that let users control their computers through voice and allow Copilot to take autonomous actions on their behalf. The company is now rolling out a "Hey, Copilot!" wake word on Windows 11 machines, positioning voice as a "third input mechanism" to supplement the keyboard and mouse.

Copilot Vision, which streams what a user sees on their screen, is rolling out globally, enabling the system to troubleshoot PC problems, help with app usage, and provide task guidance. Microsoft is simultaneously testing Copilot Actions through a limited preview, allowing the AI to take autonomous actions on local machines like editing folders of photos. The company is also integrating Copilot into the Windows taskbar and launching advertisements promoting these features, coinciding with Windows 10's end-of-support earlier this week.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's consumer chief marketing officer, said the company wants users upgrading to Windows 11 to "experience what it means to have a PC that's not just a tool, but a true partner." Microsoft attempted to popularize Cortana, a voice assistant, on Windows 10 a decade ago. Last year, the company released Recall, a feature that automatically captured screenshots, drawing criticism over privacy.

Microsoft’s Copilot Actions is what happens when Microsoft begins rethinking the future of Windows and how AI is integrated into the operating system. Imagine agentic AI being turned loose inside your PC and performing tasks without your supervision. It’s a big swing that’s conceptually almost as unsettling as Windows Recall.
What happens when you ask AI to start mining and collating and adjusting your files, giving AI agents essentially the same user accounts you might give to members of your family? Microsoft is giving you tools to monitor this voluntary service, but… whew. It’s a monumental shift.

Bilo kakva složenija radnja se može efikasno riječima objasniti windowsima, to sam siguran. Mogući silver lining je da će ljudi prestati biti mutavi.

They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this f*cking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich c*cksuckers who don’t give a f*ck about them. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Svaka verzija nekog softwera pogotovo OS-a ima neke bugove a vecina korisnika i dalje moze normalno koristiti iste bez prituzbi. Sve je to malo napuhano. Instaliraj i bok.

Da, koliko vidim sve funkcionira, ali da će to biti sve gotovo u 5 minuta, iznenađujuće. Kada sam prije 1 mjesec prelazio sa Win10 na Win11 (22H2 na 23H2) trebalo je skoro 3 sata. Drugi dan me pita za prelazak sa 23H2 na 24H2 i opet malo više od 2 sata, a sada sa 24H2 na 25H2 za 5 minuta.

22H2 na 23H2 je inplace upgrade, ovo je običan kumulativni update koji su dosta ubrzali i zapravo skidaš enablement package.

To mi je jasno. Ali sa 23H2 na 24H2 je trebalo isto oko 2,5 sata. Zato sam mislio da će i ovo trajat toliko, pripremio se na 2h čekanja, kada ono prdac, gotovo odmah. Ali neki dan sam imao ažuriranja i trajala oko pola sata. Sve u svemu super prošlo. E sada se nadam da sam miran barem pola godine sa 25H2.
