TuneUp Utilities 2008 can make your Windows operating system faster, more comfortable and more secure with just a few mouse clicks. And all operations performed on the operating system are completely safe, because all changes are monitored by TuneUp Rescue Center and can be undone at any time. All TuneUp Utilities modules can be accessed through a common interface that is divided into six categories.

The software helps both beginners and experts to make Windows meet their needs in a way that is better, easier and safer. All important system options are explained in an easy way and can be turned on or off at the click of your mouse. TuneUp Utilities 2008 will then make the necessary changes in the registry or boot files automatically. We place a high value on system stability, so that Windows won't stop working reliably. The program also gives you many more options. In addition to helping you make Windows "better looking", you can also clean up and optimize your system at the click of a mouse. - New module: "TuneUp Drive Defrag"
TuneUp Utilities 2008 now includes the brand new TuneUp Drive Defrag module, one of the most powerful modules in the Increase performance category. TuneUp Drive Defrag performs a thorough analysis of your disks to determine whether they are highly fragmented. Highly fragmented disks can slow down your system performance, as the files needed by Windows must first be reconstructed from individual pieces (fragments) before they can be opened.
TuneUp Drive Defrag puts the scattered fragments on your hard disk back together to speed up your system substantially. The files are also reorganized in an intelligent way so that Windows and frequently used programs or games will launch substantially faster. Finally, the free space on your disks is consolidated to prevent new fragments from being created for as long as possible. This comprehensive optimization may take a while but is worth it - just give it a try!

- Improved TuneUp 1-Click Maintenance
TuneUp 1-Click Maintenance in TuneUp Utilities 2008 allows you to perform even more maintenance functions on your system with a single click of the mouse. You can also run this important function directly from the Start Center. Additional information about TuneUp 1-Click Maintenance is also shown there. In the new software version, defragmentation of your hard disks is now included in TuneUp 1-Click Maintenance. While this is being done in the background, you can minimize TuneUp 1-Click Maintenance and continue working with your computer without any problems.

- New Start Center - even easier to use
The TuneUp Utilities Start Center has been completely redesigned to make it more visually appealing and modern. But that's not all. The new software version now lets users navigate to program modules much more quickly. The completely revised navigation system in the TuneUp Utilities 2008 Start Center has been made even more intuitive. The left side of the window now shows potential changes that can be made. There are now six categories to choose from: Increase performance, Free up disk space, Maintain Windows, Solve problems, Customize Windows and Additional tools. After a category has been selected, the names of the corresponding modules will be displayed on the right side of the window.
The latest version of the software now includes links to specific functions within the modules. The program also displays links to related modules along the bottom edge of every category page ("See also").

- New area: "Free up disk space"
Even the largest hard disk fills up at some point. With today's Internet connections and the constantly growing range of downloads, this happens more quickly than most users would like it to. That's why TuneUp Utilities 2008 now offers even more features to find and delete unnecessary files.
In the Free up disk space area of the Start Center, TuneUp Utilities 2008 now gives you an overview of the amount of space that can be saved on each system drive. This function replaces and expands upon the "TuneUp DiskCleaner" module, which was used in earlier versions of TuneUp Utilities. In addition to the file types that were identified by the older program versions, the program now finds error reporting files, thumbnail files (Windows, ACDSee and Google Picasa formats), restore points, Windows Update backups and the Google Earth cache. The "Windows functions" category, also new, can help you to quickly free up gigabytes of additional disk space.

- New module: "TuneUp Repair Wizard"
The TuneUp Repair Wizard can be opened directly from the Start Center in the new category Solve problems. This recognizes common computer or display problems and can quickly resolve them.

- TuneUp System Control with even more tweaks for Vista
TuneUp System Control gives you more than 400 options for customizing Windows and program settings. The new version also includes additional functions for the brand new Windows Vista operating system.

ne sviđa mi se uopće

zašto? zato jer su očito i oni krenuli smjerom Nero-a i sl. mu programa - sto vise nametat unutra to bolje. sad vec ima tu ~16-17 alata - cemu od uninstall managera, registry cleanera...po meni bzvz. - bolje da usavrse tih ~5 alata i gotovo..eventualno dodaju pokoji novi - a ne sad ovo...instalirao i zbrisao - radije koristim za registry cleaner jedan alat, za defragmentaciju drugi i radije imam 5 različith dobrih alata neko All-In-One - šrot.

ne znam, meni se sviđa. Jel probao netko prekontrolirati drugim programima kako Tune Up obavlja operacije? Npr. nekim boljim registry cleanerom preskenirat poslije njega ili sl..

Koje programe koristiš mjesto tune up.a svebee?

Ne mogu se složit, koristim TuneUp od verzije 2004 i ovo je još jedno dobro poboljšanje. Sviđa mi se. I nije nešto puno narastao, 13 MB instalacija. Opet ima par dobrih novosti i ok je alat. Za razliku od Nera sa 36 MB na 700 MB, ipak nije baš isto.

evo ovo što je morph naveo - s obzirom da bi ja dodao još kao Registry cleaner - Eusing Free Registry Clenaer koji je preporučio McG i radi svoj posao i više nego dobro.
O&O Defrag je za defrgamentaciju, za StartUp mogu i u samim Windowsima ukopčat taj "dio", System Information defitnitivno Everest, Uninstall Mangaer - potpis morph, a za registry sam već rekao ^^ i čist ok sve lijepo, fino i brzo radi

nije isto....ovo je malo blaža verzija (šala) - prije sam i ja koristio TuneUp (kolko se sjećam 2006) i bil je čist ok. ali ovolko natrpanih alata...ne fala.

Kao što su mogli spomenuli, ima podosta alata u TuneUpu...
Imho, godilo bi da imamo mogućnost odabira prilikom instalacije, koje alate želimo instalirati a koje ne...
Npr. ja koristim samo SystemControl (i to samo jednom, odmah nakon instalacije Windowsa), RegistryCleaner (u kombinaciji sa CCleanerom) i RegistryDefrag... Niš drugo...
No s druge strane, TuneUp je još uvijek jako jako daleko od Nere, te ne stvara nikakav nered na PCu nit' ti naseli 'ko zna kakve procese... (osim WinStylera, al' to isključim )

tuneup sasvim solidan paket, nisam još probao novi, no sa starim sam uvijek bio zadovoljan, može se s njim fino windoze i vizualno uredit, počistit, složit, a sam program je nenametljiv.
meni ipak draže imat jedan ovakav paket, nego deset drugih programa instaliranih, koji se kolju jedan s drugim...

Koristim TuneUp na Visti i zadovoljan sam.
Ne smeta mi više specijaliziranih programa za svaku stvar posebno, ali nekako mi je draže da to sve imam u jednom. U kvalitetu TuneUp-a ne sumnjam za sad.

Svoj posao odradi dobro, od defragmentacije diska, registryja, čišćenja registryja do deinstalacije programa itd.

Sve u svemu, ja sam zadovoljan i zamjerki nemam.

dobar je prog, ako netko želi alternativu i uz to još i besplatnu neka proba ccleaner. A za uninstal aplikacija odličan mi se pokazao Revo Uninstaller, preskenira registry prije deinstalacije a nakon nje pobriše sve što je program ostavio, poprilično duboko ulazi i vjerujem da to čini bolje od TU-a. Preporuka..

Tune Up utilities je po meni jedan od boljih progrima koje sam uopce instalirao na svom racunalo..jer od trenutka kada sam ga instalirao pa do formatiranja diska i slicnih stvari,ama bas nikakvih problema sa njime

Uvijek obavi svoj posao kako treba i to brzo i dobro..i ja se ne zalim

A i dragi mi je da ima sto vise alata..jer mi se jednostavno neda kopati po racunalu i traziti ovaj/onaj program,kada to sve (i vise od toga imam tu).

I uz CCleaner najbolji stvarno nemam nikakvih zamjerki na svoj sistem

Ja sam do sad koristil 2007, sad kad iam novi komp, staviti ću si 2008 verziju, s obzirom na božićni popust, sad je za 200kn odličan set alata s kojima si mogu pougasiti svu silu nametljivih programa koje sam dobio s lapom, da mi se ne dižu s windozama....

Neko je gore spomenuo O&O Defrag, khm sam taj software košta 45$ tak da khm za tu cijenu, odnosno manju, dobiješ svu silu alata koji ti trebaju, a ovak dobiš samo jedan...

Ne znam, meni je samo ostalo u sjecanju da je TuneUp volio ubaciti neke svoje procese u vec postojece koje se dizu sa Windowsima, a takav nacin rada mi se nikako nije svidjao.

Jedini proces koji je ubacivala verzija 2007 je vezana za Windows teme i mogao se bez problema isključiti kao i Windowsov standardni Themes proces i to je sve. Verziju 2008 još nisam probao jer ne stignem, ali ne vjerujem da je kod nje nešto drugačije, možda su dodali samo nešto za pozadinsko defragmetiranje i to je sve.

Meni je ok pogotovo iz razloga što svoj posao vrlo pristojno odrađuje, i što ima pregledno sučelje de je mnogo funkcija (sa objašnjenjima) fino izloženo...

Sad, da je najbolji u svakom segmentu i nije , ali za brzinsko uštimavanje kompića...

Koristio sam TuneUp utilities 2007 sve dok nisam otkrio jedan bolji program a koji se zove Advanced system optimizer...Sad sam instalirao 2008 i prvi utisci su više nego dobri...

možda su dodali samo nešto za pozadinsko defragmetiranje i to je sve.

Je, stavili su i opciju da je defragmentiranje diska ubačeno u 1 click maintenance. Fino podesiš kada i u koje vrijeme da se pokrene i spreman si za ne radit ništa...
Od kad sam to vidio, Diskeeper je lagano nestao...
