7800GTX 512MB Availability Improving

Looks like the 7800GTX 512MB shortage is coming to an end as e-tailers start listing them once again as being in-stock. In the US Newegg and Mwave are showing stock, and NVIDIA tells us to expect more to fill in over the weekend and next week. In Canada, NCIX is showing the Asus 512MB 7800GTX as "in stock soon".

In a recent press briefing with NVIDIA, Ujesh Desai, General Manager of Desktop GPUs did mention that the shortage of the 7800GTX 512MB parts is soon to be relieved as NVIDIA produces the part as fast as they possibly can, so this does not come as a surprise. Again, while rumours of memory shortages are quoted by other sources as being the cause of the low availability, NVIDIA firmly states that the low availability is just a matter of underestimating demand.
