New graphics card driver from NVIDIA for all laptops

NVIDIA is releasing today (03.01.2009) the first in a series of laptop graphics drivers which is compatible with almost all recent notebooks. The new driver promises a lot: bug fixes, improvements in performance, CUDA and PhysX support. In this review, you will find out how the new graphics driver performed when it was used to run different NVIDIA graphics cards and play the latest games on them.

For the first time, NVIDIA wants to offer all (GeForce) laptop users the option to download graphics cards' drivers directly from the NVIDIA homepage. Till now this was only possible for a few models. From now on, however, every 3 months a new graphics card driver, for all notebooks, will be available on the NVIDIA site for download. In this way, laptops will be constantly updated with the latest improvements in performance and bug fixes.

Till date, this was the greatest criticism of laptop gamers, as the only way to get new graphics card drivers was to either rely on the kindness of the laptop producers, or to get modded desktop drivers (which do not have any guarantee) from sites like http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

Moram editirati post,pošto sam probao drivere jučer kasno navečer na mobilnoj 8400M G kartici sa 128mb, i mogu reći da sam oduševljen. Kvaliteta 2d slike je ono prvo što mi je upalo u oči,nekako kao da se popravio brightness i kontrast u windowsima,boje su življe i dosta kvalitetnije. Ne više onako isprane,dapače ma..skoro kao ATi . Nadalje, odvrtio sam dva DivX-a i jedan DVD i tu se definitivno vidi pomak nabolje, pogotovo kod edge i noise reductiona,čista petica.

Sad ono najzanimljivije,smiješno ali i sa 64-bitnom grafom ovog kalibra i ovim driverima sam uspio odigrati Fifu09 sa medium detaljima,ostale starije igre naprosto lete,šta je najbolje nisam odvrtio Vantage,ali navodno po njihovom grafu,performanse su se uduplale . U svakom slučaju,da zaključim, driveri su must za sve sretnike laptopa sa nvidia grafikama serije 8 i 9.

Sad lupam malo glavom o zid šta grafa nema 256mb i nije 128bitna..onda bi imao gamerski lap već malo pomalo ,ali i ovo je ok,400/800 su inače taktovi ove,Dx10 je,shadere ima,i dovoljna je za multimediu i nezahtjevne igre unazad 3,4g.
