Obične žarulje bez problema traju desetljećima (imao sam jednu na kući koja je radila nekih 35 godina i to van kuće, izložena vremenu). Ali kad su proizvođači to skužili, uložili su enormne napore i novce u istraživanje žarulja koje će trajati...kraće (onima što tvrde da kapitalizam znači napredak usprkos )
