I've done significant testing (was able to grab a D15 for cheap) between the D15 and a corsair H100i and saw virtually no difference in temps. The D15 is a great cooler.

The noctua will beat any 120mm AIO, and is on par with most 240mm AIOs depending on the exact model.

Top end air coolers perform very similarly to top end water, they tend to not look as pretty though (because it's a giant hunk of metal and plastic with fans on it)
