Just to jump in here real quick, I will be creating a more comprehensive aiming video(My Third lol) that will incorporate EVERY single technique that I've picked up through my time with the game. The video will probably come out next week after I've tested this with the scout plane extensively.
Last little bit of info, I have very old footage from the Closed Beta stage of the game and can confirm that the stopwatch has ALWAYS worked like this. The old footage will probably show up in the video to head off any complaints that Wargaming are trying to make the game "easier". I will say that using good aiming techniques makes it a hell of a lot easier to find the sweet spot for the stopwatch.
The craziest thing to me is that this has never surfaced to a wider audience until now to my knowledge.
